Right, so where will I need to be and when in order to go to this smashfest?

I do, of course, offer gas money if needed.

Wait, where is this place we're going to anyway?

TheCrimsonBlur's house. And I won't be able to pick you up because I'm going there straight from work on Friday.

Well ****.

Will anybody be able to pick me up along the way or no?

If need be, I can be at the metro pretty much any time on Friday.

Kaiser - same place as normal, I'll pick you up sometime friday afternoon. I get off work at noon - I'd probably stop at home to detox/get my ****, and then come pick you up around three or four (whichever works better for you).
As for gas money, I appreciate the offer - gas costs last week worked out to roughly twenty bucks all told, so ten should be fine.

nvm ignore this, Clyde knew the answer to his own question lol.

To keep this post relevant, I will now post the greatest game synopsis I've ever heard:

The Great B-Ball Purge of 2041, a day so painful to some that it is referred to only as the "B-Ballnacht". Thousands upon thousands of the world's greatest ballers were massacred in a swath of violence and sports bigotry as the game was outlawed worldwide. The reason: the Chaos Dunk, a jam so powerful its mere existence threatens the balance of chaos and order. Among the few ballers and fans that survived the basketball genocide was Charles Barkley, the man capable of performing the "Verboten Jam"...

That's the plot to an apparently real game called "Barkley, Shut Up And Jam: Gaiden".

I **** you not. Read about it here: http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/BarkleyShutUpAndJamGaiden. Trust me, you won't regret it.

"One billion b-balls dribbling simultaneously throughout the galaxy. One trillion b-balls being slam dunked through a hoop throughout the whole cosmos. I can feel every single b-ball that has ever existed at my fingertips, I can feel their collective knowledge channeling through my veins. Every jump shot, every rebound and three pointer, every layup, dunk, and free throw. I am there."

Whoever made this game is on crack.

<3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3

EDIT: AND WHAT!!!! WILFORD BRIMLEY IS IN THE GAME AND CAN ABSORB THE DIABETES (essentially poison status) OF OTHERS!

**** DQ5, where do I get this game?

And just for fun: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qc7udCVksDI&feature=related

The Adventures of Duane & BrandO (VG rap with rocking backing music, I'm sure you know them though)
Akineko (Japanese, mostly Square but some other good stuff too)
ansgaros (more heavy metal style, really well done remixes, almost Sixto level)
Armcannon (a supergroup made up of some of the best VG remixers period)
Artificial Fear aka Mat Graham (lots of Zelda remixes)
Ashane (some of the best Chrono Trigger remixes and some other good stuff)
BrainCells (a few really good remixes, fast paced metal)
CarboHydroM (a ton of excellent remixes from lots of different games including THE best Zelda remix period, almost Sixto level)
Daniel Alm (some really solid remixes from a variety of games)
Danimal Cannon (the lead guitarist of Armcannon, has some great solo stuff)
Darangen (a bunch of solid Square and Lufia remixes)
Divine Wrath (if you like Cave Story)
Dr. Manhattan (some really great remixes from some generally more obscure games)
FamilyJules7x (a ton of N64 game medleys and Pokemon music)
goat (THE best and most thorough remixer of Castlevania music period, also some other games)
OA aka Hope Fails (a few really great remixes from generally more obscure games)
housethegrate (a few amazing remixes, almost Sixto level)
Joren de Bruin (a few really great remixes)
Kidd Cabbage (some solid remixes from mainstream games)
LEAF EXCEED Music Division (some solid remixes from various games, mostly Cave Story)
LuIzA (some great metal remixes)
M-H (a ridiculous amount of solid remixes from a ton of different games, almost Sixto level though not all his songs are winners)
norg (some solid remixes)
Preludio (a Japanese band with some solid FF remixes)
Prince of Darkness (a bunch of solid remixes from various games including a fantastic Mega Man X medley)
Project Scytia (a Japanese band with a bunch of solid Chrono Trigger and FF remixes)
Sbeast64 (some solid remixes including some of the best DKC remixes I know of)
Sixto Sounds (duh, without a doubt the best video game remixer out there)
The Smash Brothers (a supergroup of well known VG remixers with Ailsean as the lead guitar)
SnappleMan (some really great remixes including a fantastic Chrono Trigger final boss medley)
Stemage (the lead guitarist of Metroid Metal, has a ton of Metroid music he's remixed himself along with a few other games)
Tackle (a few really solid remixes)
VikingGuitar (most of his music is meh but he has a fantastic 11+ minute Mega Man X2 medley)
XMark (a few really great remixes from mainstream games)
Year 200X (some great remixes from mostly mainstream games)

This is just the best stuff not on your list that I can think of. I have almost 4000 VG remixes, about 90% rock/metal. Feel free to take a look whenever you get a chance.

I'm a high level Link wtf?

I like how if I just keep changing characters, I can always take at least one match from players better than me :p

Anyway, I finally updated the OP (in preparation for the new crew banner btw). Let me know if you guys want to adjust your mains/secondaries, but stick to characters you would actually consider using in tourney/MM. It's not a secondary if you would never use it in a serious match. Also, I didn't feel like writing up blurbs about everyone, but if you wanna write your own, be my guest.

And I gave Count Kaiser a promotion from Princeps to Centurion for being more active recently, but he doesn't get to be a Dux until he gets a car and consistently keeps up with this thread :p

Been real impressed w/ Kaiser recently. Only change I would see for me is to put Samus in there as a secondary - I would use her in tourney/mm - it's just P: M version is a little too bugged for my tastes right now.

I'll get on the crew banner probably next week - considering I won't be at home today, and we're doing things starting tomorrow.

QD is picking up Squirtle as a secondary, and I'm actually almost sure he would use him in tourney over Ganon in more situations than not.

Other than that, the list looks good. I wish I could say I'd have a greater chance of using Sonic or Zard above Zelda in a tourney situation, but Zelda covers more of my personal bad matchups better than Zard and MUCH better than Sonic :(.

Then again it could be because I feel she has an advantage in every matchup atm XD.

EDIT: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sxfUSJJiBZg

Life in Count Kaiser's neck of the woods.

**** I want in! That would be like a dream.

Please don't make it for suckass iPhone though. A Metroidvania platformer needs good controls.

I'm looking into programming languages. I want to do something cross platform. Maybe C++ with SDL or SFML or Java with OpenGL or Processing. If anyone else has suggestions let me know. I guess anyone that wants to help is cool. It will probably be awhile before I get things setup enough, but it will be good to have more people helping with level design, artwork, and music for sure.
