As much as I detest that my AP Government class is causing me to stop being so lazy all the time (LIFESTYLE I CHOOSE TO LIVE!), at least for this semester, I secretly find politics interesting to some degree.

Well, it's a mixed opinion. Politic knowledge would be awesome to have when it comes to debates about it, but in general I don't like politics.

I don't know.

I DO know, however, that I make a hobby out of learning stuff sometimes. For instance, I taught myself how to read hiragana (and will proceed to the rest of learning Japanese when I'm less busy). Government and Politics counts in the hobby, I guess, and it makes me somewhat happy. Which is why I'm posting in this thread.

But I still detest the class. xD

I am so freaking elated and happy that I can't stop smiling. I got a callback for my college's fall play. Excitement.
Break a leg!!! : )

Also:
Decided a few months ago to do artist alley at Tekkoshocon with my friend. Well...I'm doing a pin up series on girls in games.
Minus samus.
Samus gonna get a BAMF worthy picture.

played a really fun local show today and sounded really good. got a bunch of compliments from hardcore kids which was great because it's a very different style that we play and usually doesn't appeal to that crowd but everyone at the show was so friendly and open minded that it was just a fun time all around. played with my friends in another local band Ash Ketchum and every time we play together is a gnarly fun ignorant ol time!

edit: psst go like my band on facebook https://www.facebook.com/contactingnebulas

i am going on a mini tour on the 20th-23th to North and South Carolina! it's the first out of state show I've ever played so I'm stoked!!

Hope you make the most of it.

Too many people are focused on the fact that it's a run to the finish line, and forget it's the last year they'll ever spend with certain friends and their last year in the school environment (which is the most hilarious environment).

This.
My senior year was marred by petty drama. I enjoyed my time with classmates I didnt really talk to that year, but my group of friends dissolved. A girl who was my best friend led campaigns to ostracize multiple friends an made an effort to be a total ***** and ignore me.

Enjoy it and avoid drama as best you can.

I went out today on my own. It was refreshing.

I think just staying at home when I am not working is part of the problem I am having.

That may or may not be harder to do once school starts up. Actually, because I'm in the area I might be able to just get out more when I don't have to go straight to work after school.

My life isn't going that well really. I have no job, not too many friends, bad diet and I'm kinda lazy and there seems to be no changes in the near future.
Even with all this, I am very very happy. In fact, I might be happier then ever before. I truly enjoy life these days, no matter I do or what happens, I am very happy. Maybe I've gone crazy or someone secretly drugged me or I just accepted myself and learned to deal with it. Yay for being so awesome.

Congrats J!!!!! Break a leg in your performance c:

Got to see my cousin today that I haven't seen in a while! We are making cousin plans since I'm not back at school yet, and 3 of my other cousins are out of school (the 6 others are in high school or college ATM), so the 4 of us are gonna hang out c: I'm excited! And I'm going to a psychologist tomorrow! Yay for talking about feels!

Also, boyfriend has been sending me lots of cute texts lately. It's helped cheer me up when I'm being unhappy/angry at everyone and it definitely helps me just deal with not seein him often because school. The little things, ya know?

It's amazing how no matter the situation or the occurrence in life, if you are strong enough, you can always go, "Oh well," and not let it stop you from being content or happy.

I should be happy. At the moment, I'm basically having life handed to me on a silver platter.

I still work pretty hard to the point where I'm really stressed, but it's nothing I can't handle.

The life I really want at this point though is nothing special. Just living in an apartment with a girlfriend.

If I had some independence and fulfill my need for social interaction I think I'd have more motivation for my art

---

Edit: I am happy at the moment because I just got something awesome, and maybe the fact I think it's awesome is the reason I don't have the above mentioned girlfriend.

A generation 1 power rangers hoddie! Modeled after the Red Ranger, because T-Rex are awesome

Ha, I saw those online not too long ago. Questioned whether I should get one, except that I have recently begun to hate the power rangers because it has been on the television on laptops and tvs in our home for as long as I can remember because of my sisters.

I've gotten a great amount of sleep the past two days, and I hope to again tonight. It really does wonders for my mood in the morning and when I get to school, which in turn just makes me so much more pleasant during the entire day. It's great.

Of course it's bad, I think that's one of it's points. It's what happens when you splice 2 different shows together made in 2 different countries

Why would something being bad be "one of its points" and how does that make it better?
That's because most kids don't know any better when watching shows, and Power Rangers is one of those examples where yes, it's bad, but to most kids, especially boys, Power Rangers was cool; giant robots, monsters, martial arts, it really combined a lot of the cheesy things kids liked. To those who liked Power Rangers then, they look fondly on it for the nostalgia factor, and that is the point I believe Psycho is trying to make.

Yeah I guess. I liked the show as well when I was little but I don't have any nostalgic attachment to it at all the same way I do for things like TMNT because Power Rangers is so unbelievably bad.

I agree, but if one looks back on the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles TV series, that show has some unbelievable flaws in terms of cheesiness, though the cheesiness is an homage to old sci-fi horror flicks of the 40s and 50s, inconsistent animation and voice overs for certain characters, including actors voicng the wrong turtle, certain turtles having incorrect bandana colors, weapons, etc., lack of any real plot, etc.. In reality, the Ninja Turtles were as cheesy as the Power Rangers. The only difference is that TMNT are animated while the Power Rangers aren't, giving the impression that the Rangers are mor cheesy than the turtles. Another reason could be that to this very day, Power Rangers are still going, while the Ninja Turtles ended ages ago, and the reboot doesn't count, as they don't follow the same canon.

That's just wrong dude. Animation has nothing to do with it. and neither does cheesiness. Cheesiness isn't bad. Bad directing, acting and production is bad. Power Rangers has the most tepid and stupid fight choreography out of anything I've ever seen and the American version has some of the dumbest acting as well. TMNT isn't TV gold by any means, but it is incredibly tongue in cheek and self-aware especially compared to Power Rangers. I don't watch TMNT nowadays either if that's what you are implying. I'm not saying the dude is wrong for liking Power Rangers...I just don't get the appeal. This happened very early in my life, when I liked plenty of stupid things, but I grew out of Power Rangers extremely early and was making fun of it as early at 7 years old. The difference between TMNT and Power Rangers to me is that Power Rangers is only valuable in how easy it is to make fun of, whereas TMNT is a charming little bubble of what the 80s/90s pop culture was like.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=igvjqhEmyvE like how is this enjoyable at all except to laugh when the dude says "these guys are hardcore!"

edit: okay I take some of that back, Power Rangers does have some self-awareness going on

In addition, I kind of like Power Rangers like I like B movies and Buck Rogers.

It's so cheesy/ corny it's entertaining despite their multitude of flaws
