Hmm? How are we not sure that Eor killed him? Tom saw him get out of the car immediately after hitting Waterman and try to save Waterman's life, unsuccessfully. Even if they're both lying about parts of it, which is not impossible, lots of people saw that car hit Waterman. If Eor wasn't driving it, who was? And why haven't they called out Eor for lying about it yet? And why would Eor tell such a stupid lie in the first place if he knew that someone could choose to call him on it at any moment?
I'm not saying nobody should be suspicious of Eor, but there's no question that he's the one who killed Waterman. There's also next to know question that Waterman was a fog man.
Having suspicions are fine, just try to make sure the reasoning behind them doesn't conflict with the clear facts.
Father Malone, must I remind you of the ridiculous behavior Mr. Waterman exerted towards you? If I hadn't been at the Parish in the morning when he ridiculously showed up without a car, you would have been asleep with him alone, and I don't know what would have happened.

Y'know, I'm just going to clear this up before somebody else brings it up, and I don't believe Phibes has said this yet. When Smitty, Phibes, and me were in the cabin, we agreed to let Phibes do the talking, for reasons he has already explained. It's not like he just ran out there and ditched us like some people seem to think.
Anybody wanna go check it out? Or at least look into it with binoculars or something? Specifically the people who are already at the dock?

So, no, I really don't think it was Waterman. I think it was someone else taking advantage of the recently created myth of a "fog zombie" in an attempt to disguise their actions and befuddle investigators.
Also, I think it's strange that you call us all idiots when you are basing what you're saying on nothing more than the flimsiest of speculation. I also recommend that you don't insult the people that you're trying to convince. Generally, it's not a good tactic. It's especially when you turn out to be wrong, as you are in this case.

I don't remember it ever being announced he got found in the car. All I knew was that Eor hit him with another car, he deflated or something and then he went missing.
