I put this in the 'codes' folder and the B+ codeset in the '/private/wii/app/rsbp/pf' folder.

I wish I could help, but my inferior knowledge on PAL codes forces me to spectate.

However I have a request.
What does everyone think about changing Meta Knight's Shuttle Loop's base knockback to a strictly vertical one.
This is for all the recovery issues in the game and a vertical knockback won't make it completely impossible to recover.
Plus Meta Knight still has reliable kill methods, plus he still maintains his crazy gimp potential from the transition (from Brawl to Brawl+).

It isn´t better with 100 handicap.
I just start with 100% dmg. :dizzy:
What codeset are you using? Handicap should = the buffer value in the game. Sorry I guess I need more info.

OH you are from Germany...

I think we are still waiting for PK to convert that code. I'm sorry for the confusion

Cape, if you're interested, I have a bunch of videos of MD/VA pros playing Brawl+: http://www.youtube.com/user/JCaesar007

A lot of them are tournament too. I especially like my set with Chu's Falcon, really intense, down to 3rd match last stock. I won't spoil the ending :p It was winner's semifinals at a mini-Brawl+ tourney we set up at Brawl Till You Fall.
Good matches man. How many showed up for the tourney?

Reiterating.
Well? What does everyone think of this suggestion?

Sometimes in the 4.0 PAL Set when I hit the opponent, he freezes and gets stuck in my character. oO

Hi there, I bought my brawl from Seattle so I'm guessing I use the American code set.
I tried to copy and paste all the codes from this quote into note pad but when I sealed it into a GCT file via Codemgr.exe gecko OS didn't load anything, it stalled out at codes found applying.

American Codeset: 3rd April 2009, Version 4.0 Beta.

Place the SD Loader code in the /codes/ folder of your SD card.
Place the Codeset GCT in the /private/wii/APP/RSBE/pf folder of your SD card (create it if it does not already exist).

So I downloaded the prepackaged gct and gecko os found it and loaded it but the codes didn't kick in at all. I know this for a fact because I still slip and luigis mansion it loaded with the house.

Any one know what I need to do? here's the directory for the .txt file I use on my sd card.

G:\apps\pc\rsbe01.txt

Here's the directory for the gct files

G:\Codes\rsbe01.gct

I've gotten other codes to work with the wii like stage editor ones, so I don't know what's wrong.

Hey guys I've been playing some more brawl+ and i have a few more character balance suggestions.
-lower the knockback gain on jigglypuff's up-tilt
-make link's grounded up-b a semi spike.
-make Ike's counter work like marth's

-I'm not too certain about Jiggs' Utilt.
-Link's Grounded UpB is a semi spike on certain frames if I recall.
-What? You mean, make it react instantaneously? Ike's Counter is supposed to be situational because not only is it slow, but it has more power, impressive range, and lasts for a deceptively longer time.

Hi there, I bought my brawl from Seattle so I'm guessing I use the American code set.
I tried to copy and paste all the codes from this quote into note pad but when I sealed it into a GCT file via Codemgr.exe gecko OS didn't load anything, it stalled out at codes found applying.

Check the game disc, if it doesn't say "NTSC-U" or "NTSC" then it's not the North American version, but if you live in America and own a Wii distributed in America, I don't see how you'd have a different region game.
There are 2 gct. files you need for Brawl+.
In the link "SD Loader" you put that one in /codes.
For the "Offline" OR "Online" (not both) you put in /private/wii/app/rsbe/pf Folder.
Boot it up that way, if problems persist, then I don't know what to say.
2 gcts, not 1 and a txt file, you shouldn't have to ever save the txt file.

I'm checking the disk but I don't see any ntsc-u or ntsc on the bottom or topside at all, I know for a fact I didn't use two gct files. That's error #1, so I'll make the directory for the 2nd gct and then load both and reply back my results.

EDIT: yeah it works now, kinda crazy seeing the new arranged character list haha. Thanks for pointing out this needs two gct files. I was only using one or the other I didn't realize you needed both.

Link's Ground UpB actually isn't a semispike. It sends you horizontal, but not downward like it did in Melee. I'd actually like that reworked in as well.

-Link Up+B Semi spike angle changed from 269 to 16 for 2nd and 3rd hitbox and 4th hitbox
It would have to send you downward to actually have the same effect.

Well,some sugestions.

Character Balance:

MK: Down-B stronger--'Jab' more dmg
Snake: Faster Fair
Falco: Dtilt more KB(?)
DDD: Faster Jab--Ftilt more KB(?)
GnW: Ftilt more KB(?)
Wario: Better Dtilt/Utilt
ROB: Maybe not that much Windsdown on Dsmash?
Luigi: Dtilt cooldown Faster
Fox: Drecrease Bair Winddown(Bair+his FF=Suicide of Stage)--Uair KB a bit more?(like DK or Yoshi)
Ness: Faster Fsmash or Better Sweetspot

Almost every character in that list is a very good character. Why are you wanting to buff them?

Well since we're back on the subject of balance, maybe someone can pay attention to this!!

Eh?
Eh!?

You want buffs for mk? And for some of these you can obviously tell you don't actually play the character. Fox's bair is iirc his fastest aerial. If you wanna complain about how long an aerial lasts, fox's bair is not the one to do it.

Fair/Dair/Nair please?

Actually, which does last the longest?

I would guess Fox's F-Air...

@ knuxrouge:: The vertical KB idea for MK's Shuttle Loop sounds interesting. At least then he can't get weird gimp kills with it :D

EDIT:: Ninja'd

Sure thing Starcraft:

Changing your handicap changes your buffer window. For instance..

10 handicap=1buffer
20 handicap=2buffer.

...and so on till it caps out at 10 buffer (vbrawl)

If you dont know what buffer is then ill explain that as well. In vbrawl you are allowed 10 frames of buffer. Meaning you can input a move 10 frames before your last move ends and it will still register and bring your move out at the first possible frame. While some people find this to be the smoothest control, it can also cause many SD's with heavier characters such as Ike.

Brawl+ allows you to choose exactly what buffer setting you want. So try out different settings and see which one you believe provides you with the smoothest gameplay.

Brawl+ has so much love put into it, I wonder why was Sakurai too busy jerking off to give Brawl half as much love as our people here are giving Brawl+.
I mean customized buffer!?
It's beautiful on paper, much more so in the actual game.

EDIT: Thanks for understanding IC3R.

Character Balance:
ROB: Maybe not that much Windsdown on Dsmash?
it's been fixed in 4.1
if ROB is getting any buffs at all, it should be for his side-B...
but he is already so good, he isn't in need for a buff.

I dont see whats wrong with lowering the knockback gain on jigg's up-tilt. The move is pretty much useless as it is. It has a weird hitbox and is somewhat hard to land. Why not let it be a combo starter? It worked quite well in melee.

To be fair, I can't think of one official fighting game that allows for customized buffer like we have.

And Sakurai was probably too busy beefing up his love child and reliving the kirby days through the adventure mode.
