So after watching Will's DK at Pound 5, I'm gonna try picking DK up as a secondary :D So far it's been pretty bad (I'm trying to go dk on aib ladder whenever I don't feel like trying (which is a lot)), but DK is just completely different from Peach. With Peach, it's kill at high %s and die at low %s. DK is survive until 160+%, and kill at 80%. Even though DK is extremely slow, he's just so much fun right now

So plan = Main Peach, Secondary ICs, MK, Jiggz, and DK.

This attempt of picking up DK is probably gonna die soon, just like Lucas, Kirby, Wario, Toon Link, and several others lol

Peach and Zero Suit are soooooooooooo fun and feel so much easier on myself mentally then luc orz.

and then there are characters I want to play but it seems I'm playing too much people, like pikachu, wario, metaknight, snake, and luigi.

I'm gonna feel like an *** for this and not really a Peach main, But I am gonna use meta knight in tournament.Only for one reason. Brinstar. I can't handle him there and tired of people getting easy wins off me.

But what I will be doing is what I did at pound. Which is have a bunch of metas fight my Peach on that stage for practice. I was doing this with pwii meta. Once I get use to him there, I am never gonna touch meta knight in tourny again.

I really don't feel proud doing this. Look at what I had to downgrade myself too. Me out of all people. One of the most dedicated Peach mains around......

well maybe you can try learning rainbow cruise or whatever other stage you ban instead? ofcourse that's a ****ty solution and you should do what you feel is best.

Hell no, that stage is stupid. Meta has no problem taking the lead. Then I would have to chase him the whole match. Its easier for him to get around the stage then me. Least with brinstar, I can keep him at bay.

I ban rainbow for that very reason. And the next best option people pick on me is brinstar.

Id say using metaknight to counter metaknights who take you to gay stages (RC, Brinstar) isn't a big deal. Neutrals are a big no-no though.

Dark, imo, Peach is actually pretty good on RC and Brinstar. Idk about the rest of you, but Rainbow Cruise is my best/favorite stage to play on, and Brinstar is a close second.

HOWEVER, I do always ban brinstar against MK, just because that stage is annoying in that matchup, but that's it. I actually solidly beat S3ibr1k's MK at Rainbow Cruise, which he CP'd...

It isn't impossible. You just have to learn the stage backwards and forwards

the only hard part is the accent, and theres tricks to get around that I believe.

I accidentally did umbrella around when the 2nd ship spawned [after the ascension, the one that rocks back and forth].

and I was able to hold forward and float for long enough that I was able to get all the way to that platform near the end to where you get back on the starting boat.

I only did it once, but oh boy was I laughing my *** ***.

Yeah raz, I can make another one on rc (and maybe brinstar) because theyre both pretty important stages. I always cp the one that my opponent doesn't ban (unless theyre mk), and I usually win : O

change of palns. I am not gonna use meta. I'm going all Peach. I did not come into this game to punk out to a cheap *** character thats wins everything.

I was playing a meta and I did some things I should have been doing from the start? For one thing, full hop fair or Dair. This hits meta out of his Dair camping. Next was to usually let meta throw the first punch and not be greedy to punish back. Like some would up-B glide attack, then nado. I would usually try to attack or roll, which is stupid.

This is how I use to rarely lose to meta knights below pro level in 09. Problem aint the stage nor the character. It's me.

If you feel bad about it just learn a character who can beat mtaknight on gay stages, like ness. that's who i use against mk on gay stages. people eventually started taking me to neutrals instead because they didn't want something weird to happen against ness, so they played it safe and went to battlefield or something. So what happened is that ironically because i knew how to use ness i was able to go ALL peach because the threat of the ness prevented people from picking gay stages against me.

You shouldn't feel bad in the first place but if you learn a different character for gay stages other than MK you can accomplish what you are trying to do and not feel nearly as bad about it.

yeah peach isnt' bad on those stages. it really just depends on how gay the stage decides to be to you. i was doing just fine against inui on brinstar but i just couldn't catch a break, the lava was totally gay to me and i had to choose between getting looped or hitting the lava and THEN getting looped. but i dont think brinstar is a free win for him. honestly. peach is good there and the small blastzones help. if the level is being ******** there isnt anything you can do, but that could be said for a stage like frigate (which i certainly dont mind at all), or even a stage like pokemon stadium 1. i like ps1 less than brinstar.

Even if I was to use another character that is not meta knight, I would still feel bad if I placed high. Hell, if I sub Zelda and got first with her I would not feel right. I'm going back on my word for the reason I play this game and mi goal.
I don't think many people understand why I would not be happy if I won like this.

I have never lost to a Metaknight on Ps1

it's usually a two stock. I don't know why - that stage just works for me... Metaknight doesn't have alot of air mobility.
