It's good that you're switching out the stick also. I used to have an SE and it began screwing up. Controls were unresponsive or I'd be jumping and stuff like that. The newer SEs probably fixed that though.
Yeah, but I have no idea how old my SE is. They had to get it from the back of the store, and it had an old price tag on it.

Whether it's new or not, I'm still switching the stick. The stock one just feels really loose and imprecise to me, and it doesn't pick up quarter rolls (236, etc if rolls isn't the term, lol) very well.

If you're getting Sanwa buttons, you wouldn't be able to get clear buttons for artwork mod anyway. Sweet stick though. Pics when it's done?

I take it you bought the Japanese version?
I certainly did.

So I'm guessing you're going to get Japanese PSN cards later to get future DLC?
Yeah, I'll probably order one from NCSX, so I don't have to wait for them to mail it to me. I hear they've been having issues with credit card fraud though, so maybe I'll order it from Play Asia instead.

But yes, I'll be getting DLC either way.

I don't know if you want to do this, but some people just buy them off of ebay and negotiate the dealer to just give them the code instead of shipping it out to save on money. I haven't tried it myself, but I can see it having some risks involved.

That's an interesting option, though I think I'd rather get it from a reputable source, if you know what I mean.

If I wasn't worried about being screwed over by NCSX, I would order it from them, and I still might. You have the option of them just sending you the code.

Ok, I printed out my template for my custom stick! I changed it up a little, but it still looks pretty good.

Does anyone want to help me pick the button and balltop colors? Here's the basic template again:

I'm using the Sanwa OBSF-30 from this page, and I'll probably use the Seimitsu LB-39 clear ball top from this page.

Unless, you have a reason not to, I'd go with a Sanwa stick over a Seimitsu. There's nothing wrong with the Seimitsu one, of course, but the Sanwa one is slightly more responsive, has a smaller throw (you won't have to move it as far), and it is quieter. So, unless you're going for the clear aesthetic with both stick and buttons, I'd go with Sanwa.

And I vote for a row of yellow on the top row and white buttons on the bottom, and a yellow balltop. Actually, how are you going to arrange your buttons? Separate colours by top and bottom? Have the BB arc?

I was actually planning to get a JLwhatever Sanwa stick and use a clear Seimitsu ball top. I'm pretty sure that the top will fit the stick, lol.

And I have no idea how I'm going to arrange the colors. I was thinking about doing greyish black with red on the end of each row or something like that. Your idea is pretty good too, though.

Haha, I see now. JLF series? Gotcha.

Hmm, that sounds nice too. Picking the button colours is always the hardest part. If you didn't want/need the sensitivity of the Sanwa buttons, you could always get clear buttons too. Then they would match your balltop.

edit: And the only reason I recommended white as a colour for some of your buttons is because I'm guessing you have an SE, judging by your template, and I'll be the first to admit that having a white base with black buttons looks kinda wonky. But I'm also a weirdo who likes everything to match, so... eh.

Cool, I'll probably add you later if you give me your psn.

By the way, I'm considering modding my new Madcatz SE stick, and I think I've made a good template for the art.

Any thoughts?
Cool I never knew you can hide images like that I wanna learn how to do that.

Just type "open bracket collapse close bracket" "type w/e URL here" "back slash open bracket collapse close bracket"?

Btw Rachel still sucks.

Time to main Ragna siiiiiiighhhhh.

Yeah, you've got a good point. I wasn't thinking about the mega whiteness of the SE.

I'll figure out the colors eventually.

@D1: You still have to do the
around the url when it's in the
thing.

Well, it's something to think about. What you could try is taking the template with the art and a rough approximation of the button colour, and filling the holes where the buttons would go with different colours. I tried it to give myself a basic idea of what colours might look okay with the art.

But guys guys guys. This is the best vid of Mu that I've seen so far: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z1f2oyMig3c

Yeah, I saw that just yesterday. Really great Mu play there.
This is the closest I'm going to get to a Dizzy for BB, so I definitely want to try her out.

And I hope Rachel gets a nice boost after the patch in 6 months.
All I want is better damage, and being able to capitalize on counterhits better.

Faster wind regeneration and a jump cancelable j.2c would be icing on the cake.

I've been playing with Mu, and she feels more like Venom than Dizzy. She's really fun, though.

And I think at this point, any buffs for Rachel would be good buffs.

I heard Rachel's damage did get slightly buffed in the console version though. Of course I could have heard wrong.

Isn't there supposed to be a balance patch coming out once the DLC characters are released?

So long as Ragna doesn't get any kind of nerfs... The one time I play a top tier for a character I like and he gets shafted? No thanks.
I can see him either getting a slight change in hitboxes or get less heat off of certain moves. Him getting over 40 heat in one BnB is pretty dumb.

If those are the only big changes, then I'd be content. Even I can admit getting over 40 heat in one go is pushing it. XD You could start off the battle with a combo into Carnage Scissor if you wanted to. XD

I am going to calculate the amount of Rachel Players upon BBCS's NA release, I will save that data and then find out how many more people are playing her when the balancing patch comes out and she's not absolute garbage again.

I expect the findings to be amusing.

I know I'll be using Rachel more again. Using her 100 percent of the time as she is would be too painful.

But I dunno if the results will be too drastic. BBCT's online wasn't filled with tier abusing people (at least PSN wasn't). I mostly saw Ragna, Jin, Hakumen, and Tager. The only Rachels and V-13's I saw were level 50 or higher.

I'm expecting CS to have Ragna and Hazama everywhere.

Hazama won't attract that many people because he has a fairly steep learning curve to actually play half decently. Most of his normals are awkward to use, and he's heavily stance and drive reliant, so I don't see him being at all as common as IceCarJin#4553.

RAGNA, on the other hand, will be EVERYWHERE.

I was probably going to do that anyway, but thanks! Lol.

I hope Noel gets a buff in the patch.

Raz, I think you are underestimating how popular Hazama is. Just because he has a learning curve doesn't mean that there isn't going to be a metric **** tonne of people playing him. He has an interesting character design, and a more abusable drive than Jin's, espcecially online, which you, more or less, can't punish because of lag. I'm not saying that there will be a lot of good Hazama players, but there's going to be a lot nonetheless.

So, Minato is right. PSN is gonna be loaded with Ragna and Hazama. In fact, I've already seen it. :3c

edit: And Noel will never get buffed, or at least, be any good. Apparently, one of the lead designers' favourite character is Noel, and he nerfed her so much because he didn't want her to be a popular character. Can you say shenanigans?

....wow that's kinda lame. D:

Stupid shenanigans. What's he gonna do, keep Noel all to himself? For god sakes it's a fictional charafcter

"She's my favorite. Therefore...she's gonna suck."

**** that noise, give her some buffs for mid tier/high tier or something. Or whatever. I'm using Rawrgna anyway.

If I was a character designer I'd be making sure my character was ******.

I hope Arakune is still ****.

I love him so.

Plus I'm sure she can counter a few of the cast too.

I can't wait to play buffed Haku men.

Is there any new colours for characters too?

Oh dear god......Joker Hazama.

Is it just me or has the game been made faster than it's predecessor?

Haku men seems a good bit faster than he used to be.
