Concerning the BlazBlue 360 tournament...

You can give Ophy the win. I haven't seen him on lately and the times when it was convenient for him, we weren't able to play since I was away. It's not that big of a deal since the 360 side of the tournament was pretty sluggish and small anyway. Not to mention, even if I did win, it would probably be a fluke or me getting extremely lucky.

:(

I'll probably be willing to play for a couple more hours.

I kind of want to get away from ranked matches, it might make me to want to get better with my characters if I'm not fighting silly matches. I think I will try to play people here more often.

And maybe make use of that Dustloop account I have. :/
Sorry, it was my mom's birthday, so I was at her party, and didn't get home until pretty late. If I remember correctly, we have a pretty good connection, so I'll send you an invite the next time I'm online. Though I doubt you'll get better playing against me. :I

Haha, I use my DL account so rarely. But it's there!

I might play some online later. Depends on some things and how comfortable I am with my stick. Also, you should make use of that Dustloop account. Informative group of people there. Even though Circuitous seems...a bit uptight.
That's because Circ mods BB General, so he has to put up with all of the idiots and randoms who post stupid and uninformed stuff there. I would be bitter too.

Alrighty, if that's what you want.

I'll update the results when I get home from work.

I just made a dustloop account like 2 weeks ago lol.
and only so I could post in the skullgirls thread.

I have no interest in joining the BB discussion.
99% of threads there devolve into everyone calling each other free and linking people to a match where they didn't tech a green throw and then disgracing them to fiery depths of hell because of it.

NPG?

Yeah the character boards aren't that bad.
Mostly the general discussion/gameplay/netplay forums

Netplayer general. The online social thread. It's actually pretty amusing.

But yeah, I agree with you.

Then again, I haven't navigated to the Smash section of the website in YEARS, and it's probably pretty terrible too.

It's fine, life is more important than video games.

Playing people here should help, if only because I will not want to do the stupid stuff I do in ranked matches, like using Tao's 214214C super almost full screen because no one knows you just have to crouch to dodge it. :3

I don't usually see a reason to post anything on the Dustloop, but I should probably use the match finder section.

I haven't looked at other places here in a long time either, except to sometimes see that the Toon Link section isn't awesome anymore. :/

I really like the Light House though, I can't leave it now.

Some of the character boards aren't so bad.

I also like reading NPG, because it makes me laugh.

Yeah, I know the Noel, Lambda, and Makoto boards are pretty good. Hell, the people on the Makoto boards are really helpful. Even the general discussion doesn't seem that bad sometimes. I've seen far far worse on SRK where someone will say something out of the norm, get insulted, respond with "Screw you guys" and then get met with like 6 "you wish" comments. Yeah... that place is weird sometimes. :urg:

Also actually, could you change my characters in the thread to Noel/Lambda/Makoto?

I never had any real problem at DL. I haven't posted recently but I usually check out the regional boards, and the Rachel and Platinum boards.

Nice. We can play on XBL and see how that goes sometime.

Sure!

And yeah, I've never posted on the Makoto boards, but I've asked Nini about stuff, and he's always been super helpful. The Noel players are really nice and super helpful too, but they kinda frown on all the Noel bandwagoners. Tsubaki boards are really good. Jin's suck.

The Mu boards are okay, though they can get kind of irritating at times. Probably because there's not a lot of people that hang out there though.

Yeah, Nini and the Montreal crew are a really awesome bunch. Crossel's a good help too on the Makoto boards and OmniScythe (from that ReveLAtions tournament) posts there and even on the GameFAQs boards sometimes.

And usually us in the Noel boards are pretty good with advice, help, and giving constructive criticism to each other, along with helping out beginners. The thing is, when someone sniffs out a tierhoar (since there's probably a censor for that) bandwagoner, we can get pretty vicious. That being said, if you need help on stuff Noel related, LunaKage or Hexanoid are the ones to ask. Bolverk has some good stuff (though I swear I saw DSmoove and 2GB post there once).

What's so bad about the Jin boards, by the way?

The Jin board is full of scrubs. They don't want to learn, they have no desire to improve, and they argue that their 1.2k BnB is good. It's also badly organized, as far as forums go.

Not all Jin players, obv. But quite a few of them are ridiculous.

You know, I have a strange urge to see what the Ragna, Litchi, and Hazama boards are like for that. And to see if the Tager/Bang boards are as potentially randomly hyper as they could be.

Double post because...

Congratulations, Ophy! You are the winner of the 360 tournament!

Results and the bracket can be viewed in the first post. And thanks to everyone who participated! :bee:

Done and done. September 12th is when I get the new Internet. Maybe it'll actually be tolerable.

:(

I've never visited the jin forum. Looks like I made a good call.

Jin's damage in cs2 all around is honestly pretty poor.
Jin can get like 1.8k midscreen starting from 5a using sekkajin, but you have to hit them extremely close and the amount of time it takes is just not worth it most of the time. I'd rather just do 3c > ice car because it only does like 400 damage less and isn't a pain to hitconfirm into, especially online.

That's exactly what I thought until I played a Jin named 'Netplay Tactics'. For some reason, I was getting at least 3-4k dealt to me, midscreen, on hit confirm. He didn't use Sekkajin due to proration though.

He was abusing the drive more than anything once he got a hit. Actually made me want to learn Jin in a way. rofl.

The drive?

3-4k is pretty easy to get off of the right attacks & near the corner.
Off of reliable attacks like 5a/5b you're not going to be getting more than 3k midscreen, though.

Yeah, I can't remember what it was exactly, but he always did a similar corner carry combo that involved 6D and 2D. Easily built the meter necessary to 214D if close enough to the corner.

I'm going to check to see if I have any replays of his Jin. If not, I'll just ask him for the exact inputs when he gets on. His Ragna and Jin were doing all these non-generic combos that I didn't even think were possible. lol

off of 5B midscreen you can do abou 3.2K dmg with 49 meter gain, off 6C you can do abou 4-4.5k midscreen with jin. though its not too likely your gonna land a 6C

Outta curiosity, where did you get your Mu-12 story artwork from??? I've been looking all over for the CS story art for the new characters for ages. Especially Tsubaki and Mu. I know on Dustloop Circ was doing those but he's been taking his time getting them together unless one specifically asks him for it.

But I've been looking for all the story artwork as well. You can find a lot of them on the BlazBlue Wikipage for each individual character.

Role in Comic: Hazama suffers from multiple time loop syndrome, leading him to believe that the average day to day life is pointless and would rather spend it trolling. He trolls ****ty vampires, little children, cats, and his own office workplace just to get some sort of enjoyment out of the inevitable time loop triggering again. During this time he takes up random hobbies, such as setting up a booth in Orient Town with various trolling purposes, and thinks of awesome comebacks.
