Yeah, it would've been awesome, and it'd only apply to Platinum mirror matches.

Hmmm...it doesn't look like I'll be truly playing any secondaries for a while, so put me down for Platinum twice, please.

So first impressions so far:

Makoto's maneuverability took a huge nerf now that she can't barrier cancel her B and C asteroid visions and her new forward airdash is bad for her. Her rushdown, on the other hand, got a huge buff, even with the slow on 236A, every version and every follow-up of her Asteroid Visions got insanely fast and extremely good pressure arcs. Her drives are a lot safer too, it seems. FREE PRIMERS YEAH

Hakumen... I'll just have to have Derp get on here eventually, but I'm not afraid to get hit by him anymore. He doesn't have any real combos for real damage and his rushdown got hardcore nerfed as well as any rewards he might get from rushing down. He's a melee type Lambda and I simply don't fear him at all anymore. My brother is already calling for another patch and I hope he doesn't get CS1 Rachel Syndrome like I did (I might have dropped Blazblue if it wasn't for Makoto).

Noel's always been a f*ggoty character. Now she's a good f*ggoty character. Pisses me off.

Rachel feels great. I'm picking her up again. Her pumpkin lasts as long as CT and doesn't disappear during wind so it's actually reliable now. George XIII has been doing more cardio and has been dieting so he's much faster + he still slides with wind (cutest thing ever) + his range is actually better than CT. Rachel actually has damage output and her 6A actually works now (I'm convinced it didn't have a hitbox at all in CS1).

lol@hardly anyone having spinning effect on moves now.

Anyone care to share impressions of Platinum/others?

Yay, Noel. :3c

CS1 Rachel's 6A hitbox didn't extend beyond her hurtbox. I'm glad she's better now though, I need experience in that matchup.

I've actually been having that problem too, Ophy. As soon as they're knocked upward and start falling back down, you'll want to have the benediction started. I watched the demonstration of it in one of the Challenge mode missions and got the feel of it somewhat.

If you're using the forward dash after the kick, you should be able to buffer the benediction and C immediately after for it to connect.

The timing for that is really strict now.

EDIT: Also, Rachel's aerial A is apparently an overhead again. That's going to really help her metagame with crossups now.

Platinum's frying pan move has a spinning effect, but I don't know when you'd use it.

Platinum over all, is fun, even though I've been in training mode to get combos down with her and Mu (probably not good for her). What's nice about her is that she doesn't need a lot of buttons pressed to have 2.5k at minimum.

God, I need to find some way to set up a BlazBlue scene. The guys at SRK, save for possibly 2 or 3, don't play the game and go after the Capcom fighters and MK (I don't see the appeal).

Its gay as **** to do now. But I gotta get it down since Hazama relies on that to get the win

yo ne 1 got tips on how to time hazama 214d-c after a 236236b?
It felt weird at first, but I just timed it a bit earlier than I usually do and it worked.
But isn't 6C the new thing for Hazama now after 236236B?

Edit: NVM, I guess you can just tack on 6C after the 214D-C.

Yea. I got that down 70% of the time so far, you just gotta immediately dash after the 236236b and then do quickly do that 214d-c. It's pretty standard once you get it.

Now the tricky one is the 6c in the corner after the Distortion. Im testing it right now but the CPU just air techs right as I do it :(

Hakumen gets damage really easy, you just have to be willing to use his sparkles circles to get it.
a counterhit in the corner gets him 5-6k easily, FCs give him 7k at least.

and remember that basically everyone besides like ... rachel, got a damage nerf. hakumen's doing pretty good imo.

And rachel's 6a in cs was absolute trash.
and now that's it good again i'm having a hard time reimplementing it into my game.

Might actually consider Lambda as a secondary. But probably Jin despite the fact that I hate the character so much.

But not officially of course. DOUBLE PLATINUM all the way!

*she's actually kind of difficult to learn you really need to adjust to what's coming next*

I'm not sure if it'll help much but well, you could always check Dustloop or something to see if they have anybody there from your area that might either be part of a scene or be getting a scene together?

I did get to that challenge last night. You're right, it really is tricky. :(
I haven't gotten it to work yet and I was too lazy to figure it out so late at night.

I think I'm better off using the Facebook group I made for the state to get something up. If I can, I'll ask the guy who does Monday night get-togethers at the local cyber cafe if he can spare a screen for me to use next Monday, assuming I can make it.

@Lythium
Mu's corner loop is still possible. You just have to cancel 3C into Tsurgui and then link with 6A.
3C>Tsurugi>6A>jc.C>j.2C>(2B>6A>jc.C>j.2C)x2>2B will do 3673 damage and leaves you up for an air oki (I think)

Cool stuff. :3c

I usually just did a tick throw in the corner. I like how 3C is jump cancellable now, but it's totally going to change a lot of her BnBs.

Mu's 3c isn't techable on ch and in the corner it leads to like 4k and a guard break setup.
Me likey.

Well, you don't use it all the time. But, yeah...
I've seen japanese mu players pull it off in tourney so it's not that situational.

I'm still trying to figure out if there's *any* possible setups for Hazama's 214D-C anymore. Other than after Jayoku Houtenjin of course. I'm sure you could probably Rapid Cancel Hungry Coils in a corner into it, but eh.

I just wanna get my hands on playing the new Ragna damnit. If I had a 360 fightstick, I'd have caved and gotten a used 360 copy of CS and done it that way. But still. lol Better to wait it out.
