I did get to that challenge last night. You're right, it really is tricky. :(
I haven't gotten it to work yet and I was too lazy to figure it out so late at night.
Yo dead ***, I cannot get it at all. I'm buffering the dash and I tryed like a million things. If anyone has any idea on how to get this, please help out

I can get the 214d-c afters a houtenjin fine now though, but the wall dash turn around 6c thing is mad weird.

Hey, bro. You don't have to be a ****. It's not as if Minato knows how to do it either. Check Dustloop, odds are that someone is having the same problem as you. This isn't CS1 anymore, certain characters aren't as easy mode.

Also, why would you bother with challenge mode anyway? It's not as if you learn practical or optimal combos.

And you can't buffer dashes into normals in BB.

Lythium, can you remove Mu under me? She's more zoning than I initially thought. Man, I just keep jumping to conclusions on this game.

Is that supposed to be dead *** like as in dead astral finish?

Never heard that one before.

Sure, I can do that. Let me know if I should replace it with another.

Mu does seem more zoning in CS2 from what I've seen, but I haven't got my grubby little hands on her yet, so I can't say for sure.

Well, her damage is crap for midscreen combos. It looks like she's very heavy on setting up traps to use Tsurugi to kill primers.

I think I can say Platinum is here to stay. I've always liked toolbox characters.

Not to sound really obvious here, but is the balance patch for the consoles to make the game essentially the same as the handheld CSII versions?
I know the portables come with the 3 DLC characters, but aside from that, would getting the patch for the PS3 Continuum Shift (whenever PSN is back on and I upgrade from Calamity Trigger) make it Continuum Shift 2?

Yes. If you've got CS1, downloading the patch makes it CS2 gameplay wise. Sadly, it doesn't include the new opening and astral music.

Cool.
I was planning on getting it on PSP, but I'll probably just get the PS3 version, the patch whenever its available, and Valkenhayn.

Yeah, I was mad disappointed that we didn't get that stuff. The CSII opening is extremely good in the video and audio departments, especially compared to the kinda generic CS1 song and terrible video.

I think I'm gonna, for obvious reasons, hold off on a CS1 Ragna combo video and skip straight to making one for CS2 when I get my hands on it. I'm leaving heavily towards this song still, and since it's really long I'm either gonna find a way to cut out part of the song yet keep it seamless, or make this one a bit more artsy and theatrical. Probably with cutscenes and effects here and there, probably Unlimited Ragna space for some points who knows.

Badass hardcore Castlevania medley for the half-vampire? I'm all for it. That or I'll find something else.

Hrmm... I don't quite know about that one. Has the makings for it, but I guess it's just not as fast enough as I'd want it to be to match up to what I wanna do. The piece that plays inbetween's got me thinking of the use of when Lambda was killed, but again...

I'd hafta think about it. Good song, but I think I'll keep on weighing mah options.

Thanks for the input though!

Why am I up so early? ;-;

CS2 is out on Japanese PSN now. Don't know about NA.

edit: Just booted it up.

First impressions of Noel:
- 5B hitbox is huge now. It doesn't seem to extend that much farther in front of her, but it seems like it covers almost all of the front of her body. I did a 3C to knock Jin down, and I hit 5B and it connected with him on the ground. Really weird. Didn't combo or anything, but it hit him.
- 2C > 5C gatling is awesome.
- 22C bounces them up super high now, so it seems like it's much easier to combo after now.
- 5D is mad slow now, and j.4D seems like it might actually be viable.
- Spring Raid throws people really far away midscreen. Think Bloom Trigger far.
- Fenrir does almost no damage except for the last hit with the crossbow.
- You can't throw into Thor anymore. :c
- Optic Barrel is ridiculously fast. Like wow.

edit2: It seems like some of her old combos will still work. I just did 5D/2D > d.6A > d.6C > 214A > 2B > 6C > j.D > d. 6D > d.6B > d.5C > 236D, and it does more damage now. 3.8 to 4k, give or take.

No luck for US right now. Our PSN updates on Tuesdays though, so no surprise. I assume the server for patches has the same schedule, but I don't really know for sure. :/

....hmm... it's a nice length for a song, has a good tempo to it, and I can already envision the intro! Aw yea. Something like this for sure.

In the "most likely" pile now!/COLOR]

Just a heads up, there are like a billion and five remixes of that song in particular.

Sadface x 47 million. :c

I do. She's a bit different. I find you have to input her combos a lot faster (which makes sense), but her drives especially. Also, I tried to learn new haida loop shenanigans and it is freaking hard. You can't combo off of her throw anymore unless you rapid it. Air throw still works. Her normals and pressure seem like they were buffed a lot, which is all she needed to be good. Her damage is buffed a bit, and her corner carry seems better.

I'm really liking Optic Barrel mid-combo.

Haven't really tried Mu yet.

Mu is basically the same, except shorter combos midscreen, and corner **** combos are easier to setup.

Her general play style is still more or less the same.

whoawhoawhoa wait

It's available on Japanese PSN... does that mean the PSNs are finally going back online?!
No. But the patch will download automatically. I can get the patch, but not Platinum.

That's kind of what it seems like. I haven't really tried her much yet, I've been messing around with Noel mostly. I'll have to look up some of her combos later.

I'm still messing around with some of the cast at the moment. I'll be dropping a lot of characters and will be focusing on like 3, probably.
Still deciding on who that third is, but I have a good idea on who it might be.
