I can't hit with 5c after the 6c > 22c in platinum's corner bnb no matter what i do. :054:
Is there something i'm missing or do i just suck?
I think you have to RC that one since the opponent can tech afterwards normally.

well, during this combo it bounces them higher into the air than normally so according to DL's combo thread it should be able to connect, but i can't get it to work...

It might have to do with the patch issues I posted a while back, does it involve a wall bounce?

Rachel, Platinum, and... ?
Hazama. That damage is too good. I kinda got that 8000 damage combo somewhat down.
I'm still dropping it a lot here and there though.

Time the 22C as early as you can. It should be hitting them right before 22C's animation is done to allow time for 5C after.

Man, Mu is so much more zoning/runaway than in CS1. I kinda like it. :3c

I remember hearing that in this you can combo with the 2-hit 6C with Noel, that true?
Yes, you can. In the corner, or very close to it.

Cooool. I think Hazama looks way more interesting than he did in CS1.

I'm still practicing Platinum right now (I'll work on Rachel when PSN gets the patch).
She seems easier than I though she would be, although I'm still working on integrating items.

Anyone know how to use the Magical Kitty item? That's the only one I haven't really figured out. It's good as a long range, quick overhead, but that's about it. I don't know what to follow it up with if I score a CH.

On Dustloop, a lot of people are saying that PSN won't get the patch until about a week after 360. Don't know if it's true or not. And game patches are separate from PSN, so you can still get the patch, but you can't buy Platinum.

Guys, I really like CS2 Noel, but I'm not used to having options. I... I don't know what to do with them all.

Japan was set to get the patch on 5/10 for 360 and 5/12 for PS3.
Aksys then told us that the US will get the patch on 5/10 for 360 and that the PS3 will get it on an undetermined date. Everything has gone according to what was scheduled.

US was never going to get it when Japan did. We can only hope we will get it next week.

I usually use kitty to get in. I kinda spam it because although it's a good item, there are better ones out there and i'm not going to waste time waiting for a good opportunity to use it when i could have a better item.
I haven't gotten a CH with it yet, i didn't know you could combo after it.

I don't really know since I don't have her yet, so I might just be talking out of my butt, but it seems like the Cat is just a textbook massive range/power type of move. It seems sort of unrealistic as mixup, and you probably can't follow it up unless you have them in the corner or CH.

Just checked DL, and they don't have any Cat combos up yet. :I

So, after playing this game for a couple of days, I'm going to give my impressions. Take with a huge grain of salt, because I MIGHT BE WRONG, AND I THINK I'M BAD AT THIS GAME.*

Ragna: lost a lot of derp. A LOT. His damage and meter gain isn't as good, but it seems like he's also lost a bit of his combo ability. My boyfriend used to play Ragna, and he was complaining about how you can't just make up combos anymore. Dead Spike stuff looks cool. That being said, I think he's got some good changes. He's basically the same character with a damage nerf.

Jin: probably the most solid character in the game, hands-down. His damage is amazing, his corner carry is amazing, his corner game is amazing, his range is amazing. Meter gain is high, so he has good access to his EX moves, and he gets really good damage of his C DP loop. His play is much more aggressive, but he gets away with it by having all the tools. tl;dr, Jin is amazing.

Noel: very different from CT/CS1 Noel, in the sense that you can't D to win it anymore (but will probably still work online!). Her normals got a huge buff, so start pressing A and B, because they're her best tools now. 6A no longer whiffs on crouchers, which is nice. I feel like the 5B hitbox got a buff, but I could be wrong. New haida loop is scary damage, but it's mad hard. Harder than CS1, I might hazard to say. She's got good damage midscreen, and in the corner. You can only combo off of air throw and back throw now, unless you rapid it. 5D is way slower. j.4D doesn't auto-correct anymore, and she will always come down facing the opposite direction, so it's a bad move to whiff. 2D has a bigger hitbox, but it seems more like a nerf, because you can be hit out of it much more easily. Save meter for a CA, because Noel has no tools for escaping pressure.

Makoto: really strong character, tied with Jin, I would say, for being best in the game. High damage, strong oki and pressure, parry is still fear-inducing, and really good corner carry. Kinda weak on the defensive, but unstoppable on offense.

Hazama: his midscreen damage is so-so, but his corner game is terrifying. Seriously, save a burst or CA, or if your character has other options, good for you! He also has really good meter gain, and it looks like his pressure was super buffed. His corner bounds make for some really cool combos.

Lambda: easily disputed, I think. Yeah, she lost her reversal, but I think she's stronger and simpler than before. Sickle storm oki is really good. Meter gain seems pretty good. Her mobility is really amazing, and she's tough to catch. Her A Act Parser is really interesting. I think, overall, that her zoning is much stronger than in CS1, but she's also lost the ability to play rushdown Lambda.

Mu: very different from CS1 Mu. I would say she's about the same strength. She lost a lot of her midscreen damage, but her corner damage seems really good. My biggest complaint is that they nerfed her pressure, which she was really good at before. Now, her zoning/runaway is better, but it's still not good. I think Mu will be fine though. She got a lot of good buffs to her normals, so she'll be solid.

Hakumen: still pretty solid imo. His damage is still pretty high, unless you're doing garbage combos. j.D nerf really hurt him though. New Yukikaze looks really cool and flashy.

Tsubaki: definitely better than she was, but I think giving her instant charge was a bad way to fix her. Just my opinion though. She needs more Order Sol-esque stuff. Her pressure is stronger than it was, and her corner carry is good. She just seems average mostly. Most of her former bad match-ups are mitigated by higher damage and faster charge. I guess she'll probably run up bursts though when people gold-burst her 22[D].

If I didn't mention them here, I haven't played with/against the character! :3c

*: May not actually be bad at this game, but there's a good freaking chance, okay? Okay. This stems mostly from the fact that I complain a lot about how bad I am at this game, and how much my boyfriend tells me I'm not. So, I don't know who to believe. :I

This embarrassing thing could have to do with me being up late last night and still being semi-tired but, I totally forget what CS means, lol.

Edit: Oops, shows how tired I am, as I put CS instead of CA.

Like much of anything in terms of the names of things in BB or GG makes sense? That's like asking why a round's called a Rebel, or why in GG everything "Heaven or Hell". Or how a yo-yo's deadly like a giant key-sword.

Y'know what'd be awesome? Shinsou as a downloadable song for free or something, the CS2 opening.

Even though I actually like the original CS theme better. Hekira No Sora E Izanaedo

Now if only it was the full version of the song that was in the game already... PSN is slowly going back online. Hopefully North America gets CS2 soon. I wanna try the new Ragna and then play with you guys.

Yeah I know that much. But even playing against other people in the normal CS would be pretty nice.

When PSN goes back online, the Playstation Store won't be online until later. Just to let you know.

IIRC, Rebels refer to the characters essentially fighting against the time loop.

I still want to try AH3. I didn't think I would be waiting until after CS2 was released.

Guess I'll be j.8D-ing until the store is back up. :3

Whenever I get the patch.
