I literally spent my whole day looking for venues. Is anyone familliar with these places?


-Berkley Community Center (Berkley)

-John Grace Community Center (Southfield)

-Birmingham Community House (Birmingham)

-Knights of Columbus Hall (Berkley)

-M.O.G.C. Hall (Southfield)

-That one vacant area LOE1 told me about (6 Mile & Telegraph Rd, full details later)

-Confort Suites Conference Room (Southfield)

-That one room in the Birmingham Palladium

If anyone is familliar with any of these places, will you please let me know if any of those places could work well or not?

What exactly are you trying to do with the splitters? 1M2F would, for whatever reason, allow you to mix two signals into one, but I don't think that's what you're trying to do...

yeah, the use cases for the different genders is mainly for what your exact device is like and the locations you're using them. i.e. since my device has long cables built in, it's much cheaper to use 1F2M, since i don't need the extending cable. If you're ok having your device right by the tv, then you also don't need that extra cable. If you need your device to be farther away from the TV, then the 2F1M is better, as you won't need a gender changer.

Roki's link to that vid explains everything. I would say that it's better if you need a longer setup.

From what I've experienced with 2M1F (because my idiot self from 2009 never realized that I could just use my VCR >_>), I had to place my laptop in an akward position (since my EasyCap's extention cable broke) and in the risk of falling (in this case, it did fall but luckily I caught it, but my EasyCap broke during the process)

Also, when I thought about bringing my recording setup to tourneys, I had the thought "what if someone's TV doesn't have 'monitor out?'" then I would have to use my 2M1F splitters, which also wouldn't work because I have a ****ing EasyCap with no extention cable.

So I find 1M2F more effective if you need a longer setup.

EDIT: No one is familliar with any of those places I listed earlier?
