"Woah" First Crash Bandicoot has a Smash analysis on the home page and then the website gets converted to "Crashboards" for April Fools Day? I can get used to this new look and the haters can learn to deal with it.

And I for one welcome our new marsupial overlords and will continue to campaign the Bandicoot for Super Smash Bros Ultimate.

There would be people to say ''it's normal'', ''it's iconic'', ''it represents the gameplay'' and blablabla.

Since I'm here, I'm not a Crash supporter, but he would be one the few third party I would be glad to see in Smash.

Literally impossible, seeing as the only reason Slime got passed over as DQ rep is if Hero didn't work properly.

That said, Japan would be pretty :shaker:y, to the point we wouldn't need mines.

I now want Iron Checkpoint Crate to be a Legendary Spirit AT LEAST.
We have the Subspace Bomb, so why not? At least ICC can actually go to places.

I'm so happy to have randomly decided to log in Smashboards right now. Feels like a love letter for us Crash fans.

I've been enjoying Crashboards from the shadows and I'll be sad to see it go, but then again it's only the PS1/PS4 era so I don't miss it too much, since it's the PS2 era where my nostalgia is localized.

Here's hoping it goes the way of Ridleyboards.

Well then, it looks like we're getting a generous bonus in the midst of all this troubling period:

Just a pity I didn't plan my PS Plus renewal in advance.

Random prediction:
Crash will be announced at E3 2021 and release September 2021 as FP10 to celebrate his 25th anniversary (Goddamn, I'm getting old.)!

There's currently a straw poll in regards to which racer should get a legendary skin the most (out of those that don't have any), and my Texan gal is winnin' by a landslide.

I think that might play out differently.

I get the feeling Crash would probably be FP8. They would want to get the biggest fan favorites out of the way earlier

Depends on how delayed everything Crash is. We currently aren't sure where the finish line for Nitro-Fueled is, or when the next Crash game will be revealed and/or released, only the fact that his 25th anniversary is coming next year.

If what I've been reading is the case, it's looking more like the last 2 or 3 are affected, not so much the first half of the second pass

Of all the characters they could add that have a unique moveset, and who have a gaming legacy Crash Bandicoot has to be among the top 5. Banjo and Crash should end up being our western DLC reps.

So, question; how stingy do you think Activision will be with Sakurai if negotiations happened for Crash?
Pretty just limiting him to plucking material that's directly been used in their published Crash games (which, as far as people is concerned, would be fair enough, since most fans want the series to actually evolve again, assuming this includes stuff from the next Crash for tie-in purposes).

Hard to say. Have Activision been known for being stingy before?

Even so, I wouldn't be surprised if the language barrier turned out to be a bigger problem.

I personally think Activision possibly being stingy would be the bigger problem, if it is for real, mainly because the language barrier thing wasn't a problem with Microsoft in terms of getting Banjo-Kazooie, and Microsoft is moreso western. Sure, Microsoft's head was more than willing to let the duo be in Smash, and Activision is different, but still, I don't think a language barrier would be a problem here.

At the same time, Activision's never shyed away from DLC opportunities, so I wouldn't put it past them to consider it a major win for them in terms of profits to be made from the character they own in the best selling fighting game of all time

I wasn't saying Activision would actually be so stingy. I was saying that as a "what if", or something that is possible, I wasn't saying they flat out would be like that. I do know Activision enough about the DLC part to say that you are highly likely correct on them deciding to go in on this for the profits. I am sure Activision would do something like that.

If they're in it for money, they would still get a slice of Ultimate's DLC profit, so there's not much incentive for them to be stingy or hard to negotiate with unless they had somebody from Square-Enix, anyways.

The real question is if they got enough character-based properties to make Mii costumes with, to add to said profit.

Oh, by the way, there's going to be a reanimated collab for CNK's intro.

By the way, there should be a Spring promo going on right now:
