Why?
It's a anime convention.
We're meant to have fun.
not there to be competitive (at least I'm not). So what if there's free for alls or if the rules are less strict, it's there. It's a tournament, yes, but it shouldn't be a SERIOUS tournament. Besides, I'm sure they will have the usual rules for us (3 stocks, no items, 7 mins. on the clock). If items are on, then so what? Treat it like it's legal. >>
And yo, there's Melee there. MELEE. Teams may take more time to do in a convention anyway, and remember, time can be strict. So if it there isn't teams (there should be, but doubt it from what I saw on the list), then we should all still play.
Are ya THAT picky? =/
thesage: Brawl will be for 6 PM. Melee will be for 7PM. Both of them on a friday.

rockin. yes i am that picky. ive been going to conventions long enough and i truly hate the way the run things. i mean, melee then a hour later brawl? that aint gonna work. goes to show they really DONT know how run tourneys.

I just check out the hotel and its nice! Only real problem is that most of the restaurants, fast food, etc are like 10-15mins walking distance....IF you see that as a problem. The area and hotel is really nice so there isn't any problems if you do go out late.
