Plus about the ganon thing. I was talking about having to change your style within playing the same character not from having to play another character entirely. There is a huge difference. Especially when one style works better over the other which is the case here.
No idea what you're talking about, you said ganon was a good counter pick to marth which many of us marth users laugh at. why? ganon sucks vs marth because marth ***** ganon when marth doesn't attack. It didn't alway sbe like this ganon use to be good vs marth. Why? Marths use to attack ganon just had to wait for it and strike.

Fox can either camp against marth on large stages aside from FD. or pressure marth to no end on smaller stages like BF. This match up is even no matter how you look at it.

And I agree with you about the agro camping thing. But being agressive is made harder in the level by the layout is what I was trying to argue. So yeah you can still shoot lasers but being agressive with the lasers isnt nearly as easy as say dreamland.
why're you being aggressive with lasers? you have arials and moves lcancel to shine the fact that its a small stage is good for you it gives marth little room to camp.

Sorry for the double post. >_> didn't notice you had this here lol.

Playing outside of the style that is best for your character is definitely a negative and most definitely not a bad argument.
How is it outside your play style? Fox is a campy/agro character. If you're not winning via camping on a small stages chances are you should be playing more aggressive.

If you read what I said you'd see I mentioned that. Although its not always easy to land a tipper if a fox is getting up from a platform marths will almost always get at the very least an uptilt or two.
when did an uptilt mean death? Never it racks up damage thats it, you can get out of it.

The point I was trying to make is that the platform layout makes it more difficult to approach than typical platform levels. This fact is undeniable so surely it is in marths advantage in comparison to typical platform levels.
they both reap the benefits of platforms.

Its definitely a variable because it effects fox's recovery more than it does marths. I honestly dont even want to hear you arguing this point. I have mentioned in previous posts that marth having to sweetspot the ledge is a factor but it is definitely not as much as what is taken away from fox. And if you are playing a good marth usually just illusioning onto the stage will result in a hit.
it's a hard sweet spot thats easy to miss. getting hit doesn't = death, DI whatever hit comes your way recover again mix up your options.

If I ban FD against a marth 75% of the time they will choose battlefield. So someone should tell the marths of the world that they are making a huge mistake. Dont just assume lordknight knows more about the matchup than me. I play people at the same level as he and am just as knowledgable. If your basing it purely off skill that he knows more than I do than maybe I should have told you to just listen "simply because I know the matchup better" than you

Just becaues you play good people doesn't mean you, your self are good. I've played with Cort, PC frequently. I've played Cactuar most chances I get at tourneys. I usually seek out numerious good player or decent ones and play them.
So saying you know the match up because you've played good marths or what not, isn't enough. I don't claim to be an expert on the fox vs marth match up. People say its my best match up, to be honest I hate it simply becaues I have to constantly be on my toes. I perfer to fight sheiks with my marth then fox. =\ as it seems to me, you don't know how to fight marth at all. >_>

The fact is I would say that most good marths would say that battlefield is a bad spacie level and would be in marths favor in the matchup. Perhaps its just a bad level for L2k. I have never seen a good fox counter pick with battlefield and I see marths do it all the time. There must be a reason for that other than me feeling that its in marths favor.

Lol I've used this stage for countless times against fox, Fox has the advantage here. the only advantage marth has over fox here is edge guarding. once he gets fox off he can keep him off. other then that its to small for marth to really camp or keep fox away. Fox just needs to out pressure marth and Marth can be pretty screwed .

33rd wow. I know people who placed that high who lost both of their first two matches. I never make fun of how someone plays or brush off their opinion just because I think I am better than them. Dont call people out or say they arent good at something until you have a little credibility to back it up.

I don't think I ever recalled saying I was better then you, ever. I said you're probably not as good as you think you are.

Also you do realize VIesticle had the worst bracket set up ever right? who was in your bracket that was good?

I dont see why we are arguing about this. It is common knowledge that battlefield is in marths favor. Its his second best level to play fox. You find more than one fox that is ranked or is at least considered good that thinks the opposite is true I will be very surprised.

I really don't care about the fox vs marth argument >_> fine its in marths favor happy? whatever Lol.

Secondly you didn't answer my question who in your bracket was good?

I dont know who was in my bracket, but i played swiftbass, cort, yo-yo, etc. Brookman wouldve played me if he didnt lose to yo-yo (yo-yo beat nus too) and i woulda played blackmage if he didnt lose to swift. I dont really remember who else was in there. But I dont necessarily think it wouldve mattered. The only two people in the tourney that are outside my reasonable reach of winning against are cort and pc.

The point of putting that up there wasnt to say that I was incredible it was to show you that you shouldnt say someone isnt good or even insinuate it. Attacks on someones game should be limited to people who have a rep of being good themselves.

I don't know if getting called out, then dodging the question, really counts as pwning someone. Now I'm actually interested in seeing who Pat/Pro beat and who Aesir lost to >_>

If you want to continue this conversation you can pmsg me. Because if we continue going back and forth like this we look like a bunch of douschebags. You know im not just some random dude. I am after all ranked top 15 in New England after only having played this game for like 9 months. I honestly dont know what you are trying to prove. People shouldnt have johns about brackets the only dominant players that were there were cort, kj, pc, and l2k. So unless you lost to 2 of them no johns please.

Im pretty much done with this.

Pat, I'm not trying to put you down when I say this, because I regard pretty much everyone else on the list in the same light, but being on the top 15 is quite meaningless, especially as you get farther down the list. What matters is beating good people in tournament, if you keep improving and beat good people in tournament then you can brag (though I don't really think you're trying to brag, maybe a little though) all you want. Don't cheer about how you've cleaned your plate when all that was on it were a few peas.

I said it didnt mean that much. But there isnt anyone on the list that isnt seen as good. Ive taken matches from some really good people in tourenys. My intention really wasnt to brag. I only brought that up because he had said that I wasnt good and didnt know how to play against a specific character. I wasnt just going to say "i am too good" and let him take my word for it. Like when he said that I didnt know how to beat marth I named a really good marth that I had won against in the past. I just dont appreciate people calling me out. But its all good.

I don't care who you played, or who was in your bracket, unless they were good and you beat them it doesn't matter. So, Mr. Dragon, who did you beat that would qualify for my definition of good?

I have beaten Snpr twice, Raqu close games, but lost the set, and taken 2 stocks off of Mana Falco and Sheik.........
