Decidueye's passive sounds less broken/anti-fun. Also, damage reduction passives already exist like for Bowser Jr.'s clown car but the difference is so small it's fine I think.

Would you rather see all new third-party newcomers be the most iconic rep from that franchise or the most interesting one?

(For example, Ryu is kinda boring but would you rather have gotten some other Street Fighter that brings more new flavor to the cocktail?)

I'm guessing you're talking about Sylux and Weavil from Metroid Prime, which I'm not too familiar with. I'd say that Sylux is probably the better choice, since, from what I've heard, he plays a bigger role than Weavil does.
