I dislike both Squid Sisters and Off the Hook, but I hate Callie and Marie way more, so Off the Hooks.

Would you rather have a Zelda newcomer or a decloned Ganondorf?

Well, not including series that are only represented through items or trophies, Smash 4 has characters from 28 different series. If you double that, that's 56 new stages! So I'd definitely rather have that!

Oh hell yeah, Orbulon! He didn't even cross my mind to enter Smash, but I always liked him in WarioWare! Yokai Watch is fun, and I played through and really enjoyed the first game, but Jibanyan... I don't know. He was never my favorite character from YW to begin with, but also, YW was huge in Japan a few years ago, but from what I've heard, it's been slipping from that position for a few years now. I think Layton would be a better choice for a Level-5 character, given his consistent popularity and longer history, first appearing back on the DS in 2007.

Would you rather have an online ranking system, where you can climb ranks and get paired with players of a similar rank, or a stage voting system, where players can choose a stage for each round, and then one of the selections is chosen randomly as the stage that round?

Ranking system sounds more gratifying but those things are so hard to get done correctly. And knowing that 'competitive' is not even in Sakurai's vocabulary, I'd go with voting. It feels really good if you've ever played Mario Kart 8 online.

I kinda prefer the movesets that stick to a theme and do it well over the 'everything and the kitchen sink' approach (though I do heavily enjoy those too) so Dracula (also I've been enjoying robo-Dracula in Bomberman R a hell of a lot

For high tiers: Would you rather your main become mid tier but people still complain about them or your main becomes low tier and everyone gives you condolences for what happened.

For low tiers: Would you rather you main get an overhaul but be entirely upper mid tier or stay low tier and never get buffed.

Snake, AW deserve their own movesets.

Well, Tom Nook isn't in Smash yet, so we should go with villains.

...On a more serious note, I actually do think villains are a better choice! There are more games that have villains than games where the main character has a sidekick. Who would be the sidekick for Ness, Lucas, and Shulk, for example? They have a group of friends with them, but there isn't any specific one that works as an ally. On the other hand, besides Villager and ROB, every series has a villain!

Definitely Lucina. If I'm being honest, Dark Pit is the character I want cut most. I understand that he's a clone of Pit, but... why not make someone else a clone of Pit? Dark Pit is just literally Pit, but dark. It's like making Dark Link and Metal Mario their own characters.

1 character. Zelda already has arguably the best stages selection in the game, but it lacks a newcomer (or a true Ganondorf) since Brawl.

The least bit surprised, honestly.

Scenario: Ganondorf gets de-cloned, Black Shadow gets added as a second F-Zero rep and gets Clone Ganondorf's move set but with a few alternations that make him slightly more unique (i.e some of Sm4sh Ganondorf's custom moves as defaults like Wizard's Dropkick). Would this scenario in question be a good compromise?

Definitely cool music/horrible trophies, Smash lets music from handheld and older consoles be remastered quite nicely. Plus, you hear the music when actually playing the game. Trophies feel like a side thing.

Custom moves. (Like what we have now, right?) I sincerely think they were only bungled because they were a joke to unlock and you could RE-UNLOCK moves you had already earned AUGHUGJBHHHB!

Would you rather they just gave up this time and did a DIY Smash (think WarioWare DIY, where you draw all the characters and backgrounds yourself) or if they also gave up, but it was a port of Smash 4 that runs slower for some reason and no new characters at all.

Neither of those scenarios would have a competitive scene because of the slow down, so I'll go with DIY Smash, it sounds really fun honestly. SSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS Tier Jigglypuff here we come!


Would you rather have a new story mode like subspace emissary but out of it's five hours of cutscenes there's two hours of cutscenes that consist entirely of other characters trash-talking your main and another two hours dedicated to a bunch of shoddily made romance scenes between random characters, or would you rather have no new story mode at all?
