~sighs~ I posted this in the original code post, but do people pay attention to details? Nooooo.:dizzy: All codes ending in _en are loaded without that particular part in the name and thus must not have it in the name of the pf file. So what you're going to use is sc_strap.pac.
Thanks, I'll try that out. And I just doublechecked, there's no mention of removing _en from files on the OP. Ctrl+F found the only mention of _en in Pictochat's stage name.

Does this new code feature effect texture replacement (Final Smashes, pit's arrows, ect.) ? This has been something I've wanted to try...

I know what to name the folders, but the PCS/PAC files.
Aren't they case sensetive?

I flipped through the first 20 pages (Word find on Firefox <33) and I didn't get an answer, either.
Well, in the Original Post, if you read all of it, you should know that the name of the .pcs/.pac files are to be named Fit(character)0(number of costume).pcs or .pac
And I answered your question earlier on the same page that you asked it.
The character names used in naming the folders are used in naming the files.
So in the "szerosuit" (not case sensitive) folder, the textures should be named "Fitszerosuit00.pcs" and Fitszerosuit00.pac" assuming you want to replace the default costume (which is 00).

Kimchi here again. I got my textures to work, so thank you to whoever helped me. Now, I encountered another problem. I downloaded a Game&Watch texture and it came with a rar file. When I extracted the rar file, as expected, the PCT file was extracted, but something else was also extracted. A CSP folder came out. What exactly am I supposed to do with this CSP Folder?
EDIT: Now I encountered another problem. After I moved the RoyIke.pcs and LordIke.pcs files into my SD Card, I can't delete them from my desktop. It says I'm using them, but I don't have any program that uses the pcs files open when I try to delete them. Anyone know the solution to this?

Eject your SD card or restart your computer and try again. It's a quick solution, but it'll often work.

Hmmm.... why won't music work again? Can't there be a code for it to work like it does in Excitetruck? That game pulls of custom music pretty well, so I'd think Brawl could work the same way.

The CSP file is only for making Custom Select Portraits on the selection screen.

Quick question concerning FR 2.1a.
Can I use it the same way as 1.3?
Do I still need to disable custom stages?
Do I need to move anything?
Short question, can someone give me detailed instructions on using it.
I often read here about people saying something about moving the pf folder, or using other codes with it, I'm just a little confused on the matter. And clarity always helps.

File replacement 2.1a emulates 1.3, in the way that you store everything in the pf folder. You dont need to disable custom stages (no crash) or use sd files/dynamic sd loader/ anything that needed to originally go with it, it's its own standalone code that enables reading off the sd card for textures.

Although, you DO need sd files/dynamic sd loader to use double gct since that code hasn't been updated. The way you do this, is you put sd files/dynamic sd loader/gct codes in your /codes folder (loaders), and you put brawl+ codes and file replacement 2.1a in the second gct, which goes in pf

I downloaded some Samus .pcs files, they didn't come with a .pac file. Do I just rename the .pcs files to .pac? If not then do I need both the .pcs file and the .pac file in her folder?

You need both, there is a program in stack smash's download page.
I'd link it, but stupid *** Internet Channel with no usb keyboard.....

Alright. I got it. Thanks. I have another question though, I downloaded a .rar file for Mr. L, and it contains the .pcs file, the .pac file, and a .tga file. Is it supposed to replace the character image on the selection screen? What do I do with the .tga file?

Would it be possible to modify the code so it only loads the new texture if the player holds down 'z'? For example, if P1 wants to use a special texture, they hold 'z' and when the game loads it does it with that texture. That would effectively double the number of costumes available.

If you want updates for the new Sd Loader, GO TO GSCENTRAL.
They have All the updates! Make an account, (tell them luigiman1928 reffered you) and open the cheats section!

I just tried this and it didn't work. I don't care about the character's picture on the selection screen anymore so disregard that question unless someone else cares.

They don't. As of the 2.0+ code updates, the only textures that DID dysnc no longer do, which were any characters who transform. The ONLY other issue of dysncing can happen from a pac file that's too large for a character (I've seen this problem with some Wario textures, looking into it eventually).

For the pcs. files will they only upload the portrait at the char. select screen if you have the tga. file included?
You have to use something called CupASH to generate files for portaits. tga files alone won't do anything, you need to run the tga files through a program to generate the files. It's somewhat complicated at first, so look on YT for CupASH tutorial.

Hi, noob here so forgive me if the answer's right in front of me. I did some searches, but didn't have any luck.

I'm trying to combine the latestBrawlplusery code set with texture hacks, and I'm kind of confused on what I need to do.

Right now, I have the SD loader .gct from the Plusery thread in codes and then the offline .gct in the /private/wii/APP/RSBE/pf folder. Once I create the character-specific folders in my pf folder, am I good to go for textures?

I understand I may be horribly off so if someone were kind enough to help me with computer noob-friendly instructions, it would be greatly appreciated.

Epic.... I attempted this and epically failed, I put a "regular" picture as the file and it obviously didn't work but. Now I'm a bit confused, I want to basically use samus but make him look like master chief OR make samus' design all white with a bit of light green (Xbox360 designed) but I just need a little help, I have homebrew and codemanager but I lack the actual picture of what I want samus to look like and the knowledge to know how to do this, can I get any help guys? Any help is appreciated ;)

You need a magenta background and you need to make it 72 colors. Also, the magenta has to be on the outside and continuous.

That must have been my problem. I don't use 2.0 (since it kept freezing on me), and it was Squirtle that desynced the game. Now I'm torn on what to do. :(

You need a magenta background and you need to make it 72 colors. Also, the magenta has to be on the outside and continuous.

Sweet I have gimp, (sorry for asking so many questions) but what type of magenta? Just any or is there a process to finding the perfect color? Thanks so much, you have not only helped me with this but with the moving GIF files, I REALLY appreciate it, if there was a +1 type system I would +5 you

I'm havin trouble removing some of snake's hair. i color it magenta in gimp, which will only recognize perfect solid magenta. so only parts of the hair got removed. i then tried other methods like filling in the entire area to be completely solid magenta, or various other things, but for some reason, ASH won't compile the texture correctly. it leaves me with a texture with a messed up head and a very strange set of buckles... i don't know what to do... i just want to remove most of his hair sticking out...

Well, if it's not attached to anything important, you could opt to not load the texture with his hair in it. Not sure how viable that is, since I haven't looked at Snake's files yet.
