Don't know how much the new crates are worth, but I heard when they began dropping people were paying about 5 keys for them. A couple hours later I sold mine for 1 ref. Don't even know what's inside them yet.

They've already plummeted to a rec or less at this point. They're, as far as anyone is concerned, regular crates with regular crate droprates that are hinting us at a later update where you can actually open them.

IMO:
New engy wreches and pyro flamethrowers suck.
third degree looks okay
Other engy weapon looks ridiculously good.
Like the whole map idea (though it's probably going to clog servers up with all the playing)

There's nothing wrong with the new wrench. It's just a straight upgrade from the "original". I'll probably end up using that more because of the utility. There's no damage reduction either.

Yeah, I've thought again, and I realized that the "not being able to move" thing isn't as bad as I thought it out to be.

Also, the new pyro flamethrower will probably call for a lot more lurking and a lot less W+m1ing, until you get the charge

Just image a full "Mmmph" Pyro with a deployed Ubercharge. Also, I can see the new secondary paired with the Backburner for being able to abuse criticals while easily extinguishing teammates.

I agree with tery. You could prioritize your teleporter and then keep going to spawn for metal. Seems really good to me. *pre engi-update brofist*

Not being able to carry buildings is a pretty big nerf. It's purely for engi's holding down one spot.

So the Pyro Flamethrower was okay-ish until they took out the option to activate mmmph mid-air.

Now it's trash. It needs to give crits to EVERY weapon to be worth it :<

What are the presents you can pick up in matches for?

They count towards the Gift Grab achievement. Collect three of them to get it.
I have yet to see any kind of effect from them, though.

The presents give you ammo, besides that and the achievement. Nothing else.

The Comics were very fun to read
Still waiting to get my hands on the new items, not a single christmas crate has dropped for me yet, however I've gotten like tons of other drops (because its double drop week durr), but like, a little bit too much.

Yes, and you only need to make one purchase in the tf2 store as far as I know. Which means you could use the rest of the money from your $5 on other games on steam. I believe the cheapest items are $.49, and you can do a trial to take 10% off.
