I’ll do this as well

Games
Trials and Tribulations
Apollo Justice
Phoenix Wright
Justice for All
Investigations
Dual Destinies

Investigations 2

Spirit of Justice

Playing Dai Gyakuten Saiban right now and it’s really good.

Also I felt like I should mention that the best case in Spirit of Justice might be the DLC case and that’s not OK.

The DLC case is the worst one in Spirit of Justice. Case 2 and 3 are much better.

Power rankings:
-They're all really good
-Spirit of Justice Case 2
-The rest of Spirit of Justice

Dual Destinies = AAI2 > Trials & Tribulations > Apollo Justice = Phoenix Wright Ace Attorney = Justice for All > Ace Attorney Investigations > Spirit of Justice

But they're all great games except SoJ which had great moments and a great case and had a good game buried in there somewhere.

Aw, I loved that one. But I'm a Layton fan so I'm used to absolutely silly out of nowhere twists and I loved all the characters in that final stretch so it was just a fun time for me.

That's the thing, strictly speaking the series had a hot streak where, while individually we can all war it out as fans, it didn't have a bad game. It's such an incredible series at the end of the day.

Ooh, I've been quiet cause I've been working on drawing a whole moveset and stuff, but I can rank games and prosecutors for myself personally, yeah, fun!

Games: (And all of them are great, but yeah)
Trials & Tribulations
Investigations 2
Ace Attorney
Spirit of Justice (Maya! Ema! Trucy! Apollo! I really don't care for Khu'rain, or any of its music, and I skipped the dance every time... But sharing the spotlight was awesome, great closure, great music, and I actually got twisted bigtime twice, I was so impressed!)
Apollo Justice (Best 1st Case in the series, really interesting and unique melancholy vibe!)
Investigations
Justice For All (The Circus and some musical downgrades in my opinion...but the final case is one of the best in the series)
Dual Destinies (I don't want to replay Case 1, 2, or 4, but the Mood Matrix is my fav mechanic in the series and oh the last case is great)
Dai Gyakuten Saiban (Um...every case either ended with something obvious or something completely unsatisfying for me. Also, I worry it glorifies Sherlock Holmes too much, and I know an entire mechanic is correcting his dumb mistakes, but still... I like Ace Attorney more than Sherlock Holmes... Haven't finished watching the second game yet.)
Layton vs Wright (I've played Layton 1, 2, 3, 4, and only the beginning of 5 because they give away their big mystery immediately. I can rant about Layton so much. Each game dissapointed me with what I consider a copout, well I guess 3 is okay, but anyway... It has its positives but wow, and those 5 games are written by a certain someone. I hear 6 is good and it wasn't written by him. UNFORTUNATELY, Layton vs Wright was written by Shu Takumi AND this guy. I LOVE the first half of this game, and bet Shu wrote it. Then I can pinpoint the exact moment everything goes south and I bet this guy wrote it all the way to the end. Including the major insult to Ace Attorney fans. This is at the bottom of the list simply because none of the games angered me, and this one did.)

Prosecutors:
Edgeworth
Godot
Franziska
Simon
Klavier (I love his sprites! 3D model, not as much... I really prefer sprites in general, but anyway, uh, this guy isn't...threatening?? Or that funny?? He should just be in his band, I never got why he was ever in a courtroom?? The most interesting thing about him is his brother, sorry...)
Nahyuta (Cool theme! Even better than Klavier's in my opinion! Otherwise, sorry, but... zzz)

Ok, let's do this:

Games:
1.) Spirit of Justice
2.) Trials & Tribulations
3.) Dual Destinies
(The first 3 are all Top-Tier <3)
4.) Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney
5.) Professor Layton vs Phoenix Wright
6.) Justice for All
7.) Apollo Justice
8.) Investigations 1

Prosecutor Ranking:
1.) Klavier
2.) Simon
3.) Edgeworth
4.) Godot
5.) Franzsika
6.) Nahyuta

Thoughts: He is a Mii costume.

I actually think that's starting to look somewhat likely. With all third parties costumes from Smash 4 gone, they'll probably release a new batch. If they want new costumes then Phoenix strikes me as someone they'd dip into if they went outside Street Fighter, Mega Man, and Monster Hunter.
Best case scenario: We get Mii costumes of Edgeworth and Apollo (or Athena) alongside with Phoenix Wright as a fighter;)

While we all argue over which ace attorney games are the best and which are the worst, I think we can all agree that they're all good. I mean, my least favorite game is investigations 1 but I still really enjoyed the game and its story. Investigations 2 is just so much better.

Also Franziska is the best prosecutor don't @ me.

Yeah definitely! I mean, even the one at the bottom of my list that made me feel angry and insulted still has great music and cute graphics and a really great first half at least! But hey, if some people want to criticize any of them and explain why one isn't good, that shouldn't be ignored either

I'm @ing you to agree, I love her, huffy puffy toughie, so cool she was considered for Tatsunoko vs Capcom, aaaugh, maybe someday in some VS game...!

Oooh, we are ranking the Ace Attorney games huh. All the games are great but I guess I will give it a try though I will abstain from ranking SoJ since I have only played the first case of that game so far.

Games
  1. Trials and Tribulations
  2. Phoenix Wright Ace Attorney
  3. Ace Attorney Investigation
  4. Ace Attorney Investigation 2
  5. Duel Destines
  6. Justice for All
  7. Apollo Justice Ace Attorney
Prosecutors
  1. Miles Edgeworth
  2. Godot
  3. Simon Blackquil
  4. Franziska von Karma
  5. Klavier Gavin
  6. Manfred von Karma
  7. Nahyuta? (I haven't gotten to the part of SoJ that introduced him yet but considering he seems to be on the bottom of everyone else's rankings he seems to be a pretty unpopular character)

Nahyuta is just...dull? The plot point surrounding him is good, but it lacks impact and his development lacks consistency in structure.

Guess I'll throw my own hat into the mix:

-Investigations 1 (Least favourite, but I genuinely liked it. I personally would've preferred if Kay and Lang had more screentime outside of cases 3 and 5, though.)

-DGS1 (I watched a playthrough on youtube which had subs. I really enjoyed that they continued on PLvsPW:AA's style of court cases, and the deduction sections during investigations were stylish as hell. That being said, not a fan that its entire final case was buildup for... the second game. Guess I'll be waiting for these fansubs. Or I have to learn Japanese. God save me.)

-AJ:AA (Enjoyed it despite some of its flaws. I enjoyed Kristoph's smug attitude and Klavier's a good lad. Has some of my favourite one-offs as well.)

-PLvsPW:AA (I have only vague memories of this one, and I must admit that the Layton part of it did have my preference over the court cases. The soundtrack is one hell of a banger, though.)

-PW:AA (A solid start for a solid series. Not much to say here. Rise from the Ashes wasn't particularly memorable for me I'll admit.)

-Justice For All (Cases 2 and 4 definitely the high notes, but I also like case 3.)

-Trials and Tribulations (Praised and hailed as many people's favourite for very good reasons. Although I must admit I wasn't a big fan of case 3 and the first half of case 2. Definitely solid for their intended purposes, just not my cup of tea.)

-Spirit of Justice (Cases 2 and 3 in particular stand as some of my favourite cases in the series and I love Apollo's development in this game, particularly case 5's first half and even though the main villain was obvious, the actual big twist more than made up for it in my book. And while I found the case very entertaining, I can't say I was much of a fan of Athena's treatment and that they made her case a single trial section. Definitely welcome more Blackquill banter, though. Still need to play the DLC case, now that I think about it. Giff Athena Cykes: Ace Attorney pls thanks.)

-Dual Destinies (I very much enjoyed it and its main villain is my favourite in the entire series. Case 2 is a bit forgettable in my book but other than that one of my favourite games and easily the most replayable for me.)

-Investigations 2 (Just has my favourite overarching plot and had overall my favourite murder mysteries as well.)

-Nahyuta Sahdmadhi (Honestly the only one that I don't care for. Dull is indeed a good way of describing him for me.)

-Whatever the Knight in PLvsAA was called. (I don't remember much about him, but I don't remember finding him annoying or anything.)

-Barok van Zieks (I don't remember much about him, but from the first game I don't think there was was much to remember other than the rumour surrounding him. I expect him to get more development in the second game but from what I've seen he's gotten my interest, I just need to see more of him.)

-Justine Courtney (She was a bit monotonous until case 4 but god damn did I love her after that. Her banter with Sebastian was seriously entertaining.)

-Agent Lang (Very great lad and a badass. Wish he got more screentime in AAI1, though.)

-Franziska von Karma. (She's alright. She gets **** done and I can respect that.)

-Klavier Gavin (Extremely entertaining, and I liked the change of pace that he wasn't another smug prosecutor who just looked down on you. I'd love to see more of him.)

-Godot (Smug, but also entertaining. Backstory also probably the best of all the rivals in the series.)

-Miles Edgeworth (What can I say expect: It's Edgeworth. Gets more **** done than Franziska and the development he gets throughout the various games is great.)

-Simon Blackquill (Okay I just really like Dual Destinies. Blackquill has got to be the most entertaining prosecutor for me, especially the interactions he had with Fulbright. I also really enjoyed his backstory and how he and Athena know each other.)

I hope you are right, but I think it lines up as well as Luke Atmey's plan to use double jeopardy to get away with a lesser crime.

It has logic, it seems foolproof, but just one slip up and it all falls apart.
Well, given recent developments, so far so good.

Oh, I know, but there is some stuff told by leakers themselves that suggests that DLC picks were decided earlier on, alongside the base as part of my deductions claimed.
Hence why I said, so far, so good.

No slip ups so far.

I believe Wright has a amazing shot of getting in now that Joker is in. He is not a character I want, but I would be happy for you guys if he get's in.

Huh, funnily enough, even BillbobK seems to think so, given that he gave Phoenix a 60% chance for Season 2 of his RTC show.

It would certainly be great to see the underdog win.

Even though DLC will obviously get the stock generic line like in Smash 4 more likely - the Phoenix guidance would be a blast. Maya should appear in it. You already have Abby Trott!

So what are people's thoughts on the 5chan leak? Obviously it is merely a text leak, but it has interesting timing. Being on the Japanese site also makes it a possibility that they heard it over heard it over there.

It has legs to stand on, but anything can make it fall apart. Hoping so for Phoenix!

It's fake. Someone knowing all the fighters collectively that ahead of time? Not happening.

I'd need to have another look at it directly, but I also recall some details not plausibly adding up either.

The two big 5ch leaks running around are Joker, Hero, Leon S. Kennedy, Tracer, and Sol Badguy OR Joker, Hero, Doomguy, Ryu Hayabusa, and Steve.

I don't believe either - the second seems like a series of educated guesses and the first seems like a wish list but I can't say I'd be unhappy with either. I'd especially be happy with Sol because I'm a huge Guilty Gear fan. However, it's just ridiculous that the whole list would be out in the wild already.

Also, Sol Badguy? Guilty Gear looks cool and even I think that that's a heavy stretch.
Absolutely right. Like, I'm a huge GG fan and when that leak came out all I could do is laugh because the idea was so ridiculous that I never even thought of it once. He'd be amazing no doubt but he's such a pie-in-the-sky idea. There's no way it's real.

I think the one with Tracer and Sol Badguy is obviously a fan wish list made for people to give attention to it. I wouldn't put much thought on that one.

Is it possible the 5chan rumour nearly a well researched guess? There were reports of Bethesda and Microsoft wanting a character for a while so obviously including both is logical. Erdrick/Square being a character has been a rumor for a long time. And didn't Sakurai praise Persona 5's menu design? If the leak came after that statement, it could be another educated guess.

Ryu Hayabusa's the only one without anything linking him to Smash, but another NES classic character being added by Sakurai isn't exactly a stretch.

It's a well-educated guess based off of what the masses say, and what the "top Leakers" haven't said "no" to yet while having them in circulation.

I think they’re both fake.

Leon is possible, but I don’t expect to see a gun user with Joker in the same pass. Same with Doomguy and Tracer, although the main points against them are that they’re western and Doomguy’s violence.

Steve just kills any leak for me, he just wouldn’t work in Smash.

And Sol Badguy... he’s just too far off.

The only one I could see getting in is Hayabusa.

Yeah, both of those people who claimed the lists would be caught by Nintendo ninjas by now.

It doesn't matter if it comes from 4Chan, 5Chan, 8Chan or whatever other number, if a leak in them is obviously fake, it shouldn't be paid attention to.

And as anyone knows, even the best educated guess in the world is still no match for how Sakurai's mind works.

I think they’re both fake.

I can agree with this assessment.

The only way anyone will know who's coming next is through datamines, not any of these charades. After the ****ty puzzles and the Grinch leak, people ought to know better by now, but apparently not.

You know the more I'm thinking it the more I'm warming up to the idea of Phoenix being in Smash.

If he were playable he could possibly get a batch of spirits along with him and I can say "Yay, Athena is dead." lol

A lot of potential Ace Attorney spirits could be enhanced too. Here are some examples:

Larry Butz > Laurice Deauxnim
Shadi Smith > Zak Graymare
Diego Armando > Godot
Shelly de Killer (Walkie Talkie) > Shelly de Killer
Ema Skye > Ema Skye (Apollo Justice)
Miles Edgeworth > Miles Edgeworth (Dual Destinies)
Pearl Fey > Pearl Fey (Dual Destinies)
Juniper Woods > Juniper Woods (Judge)

Put me up in that Support List!
I really love the Ace Attorney Games, I just love seeing these characters hanging around and solving cases.
Nick was also my main in UMvC3 back in the day!
