Usually I'd go for Impa, but as some people have noted, she runs the risk of heavy overlap with Sheik. I'll think about the other options.

Hearing one of the best soundtracks ever in the Olympics makes me want to see the music in Smash even more. C’mon team, let’s add in Chrono.
Inb4 the next job prompt of adding a character from a series that had it's music featured in the Olympics to promote it.

JOB #147: Submit a Legend of Zelda Mii Costume!

We already have a Mii Costume in the form of Tingle in the game with other mii costumes from previous games being grandfathered in before we actually launch the game. That being said, we will be adding a second Legend of Zelda Mii Costume. This can be taken from a protagonist, antagonistic, generic enemy, or NPC. That being said, characters who were submitted as playable characters are not eligible for submission. When submitting, please provide the following PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING GUIDELINES
  • Name
  • Game of Debut
  • Mii Fighter Class
  • How does the Mii Costume look?
  • Does it change any particular aspects such as the weapon used or skin color?
  • Reason for inclusion (They character should be recognizable and known well enough in the community/Zelda community to warrant inclusion)

Darknut (Mii Swordfighter)
A recurring foe of the Zelda series, Darknuts are armored enemies that only take damage from behind in Zelda, as well as a strong enemy in Smash Run. The costume consists of the Darknut Helmet, shown above, and the Darknut Armor consists of onyx armor, a large round trage on his left arm, and a massive broadsword for the sword.

But here's the deal about this: once a Mii Swordfighter wearing any piece of the Darknut set reaches 100% damage, the armor will completely break and reveal this:
1627097640915.png

The Darknut Helmet becomes more akin to a crowned helmet while the Darknut Armor becomes chainmail, loses the shield, and the sword becomes replaced with this slimmer blade in his hands.

Job 147: Gerudo Link Outfit

BotW_Gerudo_Set_Model.png

From The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild
Class: Swordfighter

This Mii costume aims to recreate the stylish Gerudo fashion that helped let Link sneak into Gerudo Town as only ladies were enabled entry through its doors. The Mii costume will be a little simplified and maybe shown not as much skin. Please for it, it's really stylish. Also I beat Calamity Ganon in this outfit.

Job #137: Kilton Cloak and Hood (Swordfighter)
1627097640535.png

Kilton is a merchant in Breath of the Wild, selling some very odd items. He's not the most important character in the game, but his design is very unique and would work as a mii (and he's popular enough for WeirdChillFever WeirdChillFever to make a moveset for him, sorry for the ping but i feel like i had to mention it). The Kilton Cloak would have his body below the neck, holding a slightly small mop (one of the items he sells). The Kilton Hood gives your mii his purple hood and will give the mii his greenish skin color.

Its Been a while since this alt job but what better time than the present to compile them. Also just for clarification since I'm not sure this has been formally announced, the 64 and Melee characters we used the old method for alts wont have new jobs for them, however the leadership team will look over the alts that got in and replace some of the more questionable ones.
Wario Alts:
The Current Green and Orange alt in Ultimate has been separated into the old Green and Orange alts from Brawl. 2 alts had to be rejected for this, both of which were due to Wario already having two Red alts. the VB alt may have been rejected either way as it was a complicated alt for an obscure game, although Shake King could have gotten an alt had Wario not already had two Red alts. Additionally, The Biker alt was originally submitted to be more black and white, however another more specific black and white alt was also submitted, so the blue biker alt from brawl fulfills the same reference while being more visually distinct.
Snake Alts:
Only 3 Snake Alts were submitted, so none had to be rejected. The last two are a new alt for Snake like Joker or Sepiroth. The Teal alt was created by me to fill the last slot, and is simply a recolor of the octocamo suit.
Ike Alts:
4 Alts were submitted for Ike so it worked out nicely. All four are palette swaps and not new costumes.

Tbf my interest in a character isn’t a real measure of popularity but he was popular or important enough to get mentioned in Age of Calamity so there’s that.

EDIT;

Job 147: Ravio
Ravio is a wily and cowardly salesman that first appears in A Link Between Worlds. In this game, he sells Link the items that the hero needs on his quest. Ravio also rents out these weapons, though they are lost by Link if he dies.

816D5D6D-2DB4-458E-A937-098029547A0A.jpeg

Ravio would join Smash Bros. merely in spirit, in the form of a Mii Fighter costume that consists of two parts: A Ravio Hood and a Ravio Cloak.

The Ravio Hood would consist of Ravio’s bunny mask and scarf and cover up most of the Mii’s face, though the skin color would still be visible, as well as some hairstyles that are long enough.

The Ravio Cloak would be a sleek, dress-like outfit. This cloak would be exclusive to Swordfighters, with the sword changing into a Rented Sand Rod. This weapon brandishes a miniature version of Ravio‘s Hood and is chosen for playing an introductory role in the game’s renting system, as well as for being a weapon that last appeared in A Link Between Worlds, making it feel more exclusive to that game since it has only appeared in Spirit Tracks otherwise.

Ravio’s likeness was already deemed important and recognizable enough for a costume before, being one of the costumes found in the Breath of the Wild DLC packs, although only the Hood appeared in that game. Still, only six other characters managed to have that honor, many of which already having a role in Smash Bros. Ultimate already. (Those being Majora, Tingle, Midna, Phantom, Zant and Phantom Ganon, along with the Outset Island Pyjamas of Toon Link) Furthermore, representation for A Link Between Worlds in Smash so far is low, and Ravio was one of the more recognizable parts of it, as evidenced by him being one of the two characters from that game chosen for the Hyrule Warriors DLC, along with Yuga.

EDIT2:
…canonically a costume in A Link Between Worlds itself too so it’s basically perfect to have it in Smash as a costume as well

The Legend of Spirit Submissions
Well I tried to be funny. Anyways, while votes are coming in, we would like to start up Legend of Zelda spirit submissions. Given the wide range of this prolific franchise, it would be great to see so many characters represented with spirits. Again, while you may submit as many spirits as you like, each one will be admitted according to the discretion of the Spirits team. Unlike with Sonic spirits however, we have a few restrictions in place.

We'd like to ask that everyone follow these guidelines:
  • Please refrain from submitting spirits from the CDi titles
  • Please refrain from submitting spirits from any Game & Watch Zelda titles
  • If submitting spirits from Link's Awakening, please use artwork from the Switch remake.
As general guidelines, please try to submit spirits with a decent (official) art source.

And as always, please use the template to make sorting through spirits easier.

Type: Primary/Grab (3 Slots)
Effect: Bob-omb Equipped
  • Puppet Fighter: Lucas (Color #4)
  • Stage: Pirate Ship (Hazards: On)
  • Music Track: Village of the Blue Maiden

  • Conditions: The enemy favors grabs and throws

This Spirit references Niko’s rope-swinging mini-game (hence the use of tether grabs) and its rewards: A Spoils Bag for the first level (Hence the 3 Slots) and the unlocking of the Bomb item (Hence the Bob-Omb Equipped effect)

Alfonzo Leaves it to….

Alfonzo is an character from the Legend of Zelda series; specifically from Spirit Tracks. He is the grandson of Gonzo, one of the members of Tetra’s Pirate crew. He is the Royal Engineer and aids Link passing his exam so he too can become a conductor. He was once a member of the Hyrulian army and widely seen as one of the greatest Swordfighters of all time. It would make the most sense to make this a Mii Swordfighter.

The costume would retain the trademark bandana as well as the characteristic light colored scar and reddish comics nose as well as the general clothing of the character. The costume would also include the purple tattoo on the chest. The costume would be unique as it would render the Mii into a cell-shaded appearance. The sword Alfonzo uses looks similar to a Hyrulian Knight Sword.

But wait…

What happens if Alfonzo and Toon Link are both on the stage at one time?

Niko: Leave it to me!

While having Niko would be…off…it wouldn’t be too strange as he did appear in Spirit Tracks but as an old man. Nor Is he a conductor. Perhaps he would appear flustered and rather unsure of himself.

JOB 147: Ezlo (Universal)

Ezlo is a main character of The Legend of Zelda: The Minish Cap, and he talks or something. He bears resemblance to Link's iconic cap and lets him shrink down to the size of a tiny race called the Minish, allowing for exploration and puzzle solving. In Smash, he doesn't have access to such power, but he does react to KO's with a gleeful cheer.

(sees Gradius on a full list, which is not in this tweet)
I'll be up with either a Moai head (was playable in DreamMix TV World Fighters & Krazy Kart Racing and even had a puzzle platformer spin-off, Moai-kun. Other variations also give moveset potential) or Vic Viper (I've seen many working spaceship movesets on Internet such as Galaga, lots of weapons, likely other ships and a sentient self in Parodius, maybe use a gravitional field to grab opponents/items like Mewtwo's Side Special?) as a traditional shoot 'em up rep, as Reimu seems more like a bullet hell rep (sub-genre).
A Konami Code first appeared here (in a NES/Famicom port) and the original arcade game even inspired both Yuzo Koshiro (Tiger! Tiger! actually sounds like a Gradius song) & Hideki Kamiya.
