This stage has two sections, starting with:

Lookout Landing

File:TotK Lookout Landing.png

Stage will start on the ground with one large ground platform and two higher smaller platforms. On the sides of the ground platform will be stairs as seen in the above picture. Cameos from Hylian townsfolk, Ritos, Gorons, Zoras, Gerudo, Sheikah, and Koroks will be in the background. There will also be cameos from Purah, the first four champions (Sidon, Riju, Yunobo, and Tulin), Teba, Yona, Buliara, Hestu, Paya, Old Impa (if Duck Hunt and Toon Link can be stage cameos and playable, so can she), Robbie, and Josha.

Eventually Purah will attach four balloons, two on each side of the large platform, and one for each of the two smaller platforms, to the platforms and place flame emitters beneath each balloon, all using Ultrahand. Robbie will then use Ultrahand from the background to move the stage to the tower where the platforms will be shot into the air. For around ten seconds, the platforms will travel very fast upwards from the tower, but then the vertical momentum from the tower stops, so the the flame emitters will activate and carry the platforms more slowly into the air using the balloons until the platforms reach the next portion of the stage.

Great Sky Island

File:TotK Sky Island.png

The platforms will then reach the Great Sky Island. The ground platform incorporates into the Island (similar to Delfino Plaza and Skyloft), with the sides now having ledges that players can fall off like with Final Destination. Zonai Constructs will deactivate the flame emitters, but the balloons will still be a little hot, so they will use hydrants to put out the flames with water. Cameos from the spirits of Rauru, Mineru, and Sonia appear in the background. There will also be Zonai constructs building various platforms in the background, using both Ultrahand and Autobuild, and then sending them into the foreground.

These include:
  • A hover stone that will float in the air. It will have a fan attached to the bottom which will slowly take it up higher and higher until it goes off screen. Occasionally it will have a rocket attached instead, in which case it will shoot up much faster off screen, taking unlucky players who don't jump off fast enough with it.
  • A wing with fans attached that will glide across the screen in a diagonal line, from top (a third of the way from the top) left to bottom (a third of the way from the bottom) right.
  • A sled with small wheels attached that will travel across the ground and drop a time bomb in the center of the stage, that will go off after a couple seconds and damage players in its radius.
  • A spring that players can bounce on to gain extra height.
  • A wooden platform that will be attached to a hanger and be moved along by a fan along a rail. The rail will be high above the platforms and can't be interacted with, but the hanger and the wooden platform can.
Eventually Rauru will use Ultrahand to move the platforms to the Temple of Time. He then will use Recall on the platforms, turning the stage grey (not the players themselves, just the stage), as everything moves in backwards, first to the Sky Island, then downwards through the sky, all the way until the platforms reach the ground of the Lookout Landing again, and then the recall will end, starting the cycle anew.

The Omega and Battlefield forms of the stage will take place on the Sky Island, with a Sky Island textured platform used in the omega form, and two smaller Sky Island textured platforms being used in the battlefield form.

The stage name on the actual menu select (and the overall stage name in general) will be Great Sky Island, named after the second form of the stage, since that is the form that the Omega and Battlefield forms take place on.

Here are our submissions for a Tears of the Kingdom stage!

TOTK Stage Submission: Master Kohga's Construction Destruction Derby

Back in Breath of the Wild, when you defeated the bumbling Master Kohga, he fell down into a seemingly bottomless hole. Then, in Tears of the Kingdom, we learn about the depths, and of course, Kohga returns. It turns out half of the Yiga clan has been living down here for quite some time, adapting to the need for Sundelions to heal from gloom, and Brightbloom Seeds to see around them. And of course, due to the high amount of Zonai ruins, they learned to make vehicles. So when Kohga decides to get his revenge on Link, he does so by whipping out a monster truck. Which goes hard. Kohga can actually be fought four times, and he has a new vehicle for each occasion - a monster truck, a plane, a boat, and finally, a mech suit. At each occasion, you fight him within an abandoned mining colony in the Depths.

For this stage, it takes place in the Great Abandoned Central Mine, the first of the Master Kohga boss fight locations. The ancient site has been vandalized with Yiga iconography, with Mighty Bananas littering the ground. There are no blue or green barriers as seen in the Kohga fights, as these would obstruct blast zones. Kohga will spend about a minute in each vehicle, trying to run over the fighters, before moving onto the next. He might try and run the players over by driving along the foreground, or maybe attack them from a distance with canons. You might have to watch out for Flame, Frost, Shock, or Beam Emitters, and possibly Time Bombs (which can be picked up and thrown). There are a number of different vehicles Kohga can pull from, not just the ones from his bosses - many of these are directly inspired by the crazy stuff fans have been cooking up in TotK, like giant Mad Max-esque battlecars, driveable pressure crushers, rocket-powered hover tanks, and the list goes on. Strong attacks will break parts of the vehicles, and breaking pivotal parts of them will make them explode. From there he'll blast off into the background, forced to cook up a new invention.

Also, as a note, this is probably the darkest stage in Smash Infinite, beating out Dracula's Castle. You can still see Master Kohga, his vehicles, and the foreground, but only because of a Large Brightbloom Seed in the center of the arena - the background is quite tough to see.

For Battlefield and FD forms, Kohga flies on a Fanplane above the arena as he shoots canons down onto Bokoblins. You fight on a structure that bears resemblance to the Yiga clan hideouts.

Conclusion: the music for this fight is insane
Zonaite Remains

Stage will have 2 sections

1 - a gliding section on a giant Zonai wing traveling towards the right of the screen around the Great Sky Island. The wing will generally be angled downward. Cameos by Rauru & Constructs. Omega variant will be stationary & overlooking this general area.

2 - a giant minecart section traveling towards the left of the screen around the Abandoned Great Central Mine (seeable areas will already be lit up with their Light Root). The wall of the minecart can stop knockback if hit & landing on the tracks will do damage & knockback similar to Big Blue or Spirit Train. Cameos by Master Kohga & the Yiga Clan. Battlefield variant will be stationary & overlooking this general area.

There will be an animation & aesthetic similar to fast traveling in totk & a brief intermission between similar to Castle Siege or Reset Bomb Forrest.

Gimmick - Occasionally you will pass a Zonaite Device orb. When a fighter impacts it a Zonaite device will be added to the Wing or Minecart around the point of impact (the new object will replace an older one if overlapping) producing some stage effects. This will reset every stage transformation.

-Emitters\Hydrant will shoot there element upwards & do damage & a status effect based on which of 5 different emitters or if the hydrant was used.

- Fans will change the angle of the base platform either straightening out or making the wing angled upward or having the Minecart do a wheelie.

- Rockets will speed the stage up (wont be as fast or quickly disappear like they do in game)

- Weight is Smash original & will counter a Rocket instead slowing the stages pace down.

- Springs will shake the stage upwards every so often, similar effect to pow block

- Battery attaches to nearest device & keeps it in place for next time you are in that section of the stage.

- Hover Stone wont attach to main platform but will instead add a new platform traveling alongside the stage where it was impacted (not a pass through platform)

- Time Bombs will explode doing damage to player who impacted it.

Here are the results of voting for our Tears of the Kingdom Stage!

Name2 Points1 PointTotal
Master Kohga's Construction Destruction Derby5 (10)111
Zonaite Remains1 (2)79
Great Sky Island6 (12)316

While it was a slim playing field and both Master Kohga and Great Sky Island were fairly neck and neck, Great Sky Island wins and is selected as the Tears of the Kingdom stage submission! I will be going through our music and seeing what to include and what not to include. You may select tracks that you feel are more deserving than others as well and voice your opinions on them. Music tracks are still open for submissions!

Defend Gerudo Town (Final Phase)
Moragia
Tarrey Town (Day)

And yes, Tarrey Town is actually different than the original game.

Colgera's theme is a must, it absolutely is the best boss track just for those intense Dragon Roost Island riffs.
I don't wanna show bias, but Moragia and Defending Gerudo Town were some of the absolute coolest moments in the game.
The Stable Theme, complete with the Stable Trotters, is one of the most iconic pieces of music in the whole game - though I'd argue a remix including their serenade to the Great Fairy would turn it into being one of the best in the game.
Master Kohga's new battle theme is one of the other best boss themes.

And Sky Island kinda needs to be there considering it's the stage.

You know, this got me thinking: should some of our existing fighters be visually updated? Like, we could probably get away with Ganondorf's default appearance be from TotK, or Ryu/Ken's be from SF6, for example.

We will be allowing more music submissions up until tomorrow but we will be submitting Final Smash changes for the following characters...

Character Update Job #1: Link, Ganondorf, and Zelda
We will be updating the final smashes for Link, Ganondorf, and Zelda. Please pay attention to the following criteria:

Full Final Smash Revamp
:ultlink:

Link will be receiving a full new Final Smash that is based on his abilities, weapons, or mechanics from Tears of the Kingdom.
Aesthetic Final Smash Revamp
:ultganondorf::ultzelda:

Like Link, Ganondorf and Zelda will have updates to their Final Smash but, unlike Link, they will have the same Final Smash but altered visually to be more in line with Tears of the Kingdom.
  • For example, Ganondorf changes into another form when charging
  • For example, Zelda could utilize visual effects found in Tears of the Kingdom when using the triforce's power.

New Final Smash: Vows of the Sages:
1689476042278.png

For this new Final Smash, Link will start off with a Bomb Flower Arrow that he shoots forwards. Anyone caught in the Final Smash will be sent to the Hyrule Castle Throne Room, where Link is seen with his allies from Tears of the Kingdom: Riju, Tulin, Sidon and Yunobo. The FS starts with Sidon barraging the foe with trident barrages before being knocked upwards by a double-slash from Riju's scimitars. While in the air, the foes are barraged by arrows from Tulin's bow before Yunobo smashes them downwards with his club-sword, making them bounce off the ground. Link then caps off the Final Smash with an almighty Spin Slash with the Master Sword, which sends the foes flying out of the throne room through the window above. There is a 25% chance that instead of Link, a fifth Sage, Mineru, will fire two Zonai Cannons at the foes' location to the same result.

Ganondorf/Zelda:
Ganondorf, while retaining the same properties of his Final Smash, instead transforms into Calamity Ganon from Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity.
1689475858587.png

The reason I'm picking this form instead of what happens in Tears of the Kingdom is because that is massive spoiler territory.

On a less spoiler-y note, Zelda's Final Smash now has a 50/50 chance to be a Zonai Secret Stone instead of the Triforce on activation.

Why is this necessary? If Ganon and Zelda aren't being changed into their TOTK selves it doesn't make sense for them to use abilities from it.

A stage and music is great but I don't think there's a need to fix what isn't broken with the Ganon and Zelda

I think it would be cool if the alternate Final Smashes were locked to the characters' TOTK alts, kinda like Omnislash V5. Mainly because Link's Final Smash is really cool and I don't feel like losing it. Same for OoT Ganon.

Link Final Smash: Ultrahand

Link's right arm begins to glow, and suddenly, every item, platform, and character (so everything except the actual stage) becomes orange. Link stays in place, invlunerable, as the player of Link gains a small cursor (like Snake's Final Smash) where they can hover over objects to turn them green, then press the attack button to have Link grab them with Ultrahand. He can then move them with the cursor wherever he likes, or attach them to whoever. This means you can do some wacky stuff.

  • Someone's in special fall and about to land on a platform? Juke them out!
  • Attach a platform to someone and they become extremely heavy, gaining metal box properties - bad news if they're offstage.
  • Attach a Smart Bomb to someone and watch them fearfully try to avoid the explosion, to no avail.
  • Someone's going after a cool looking item? Drop it offstage!
  • Attach fighters to each other and watch the mayhem ensue.
  • If you wanna be lame, you can also just drag someone into the blast zone.
  • And there are many other silly things you can do with this Final Smash. Anything you can imagine, really.
This Final Smash lasts about 20 seconds and the effects of it (like misplaced platforms or conjoined fighters) last for 15 more seconds afterwards. This Final Smash is meant to encapsulate the creativity and fully-open nature of Tears of the Kingdom.

Ganondorf Final Smash adjustment

Ganondorf turns into the Great Demon King, Ganondorf, before thrusting his arm forward, summoning two Moldugas to his bidding, and they do the same thing as the Ganon Final Smash did.

They are. The Final Smash isn’t being changed, just the look of them. That being said, you can expect a Cloud situation.

Here is our list of accepted musical tracks. I wanted to keep the list moderate in length while also making sure everyone has at least two submissions included in it.
  1. Main Theme (Tears of the Kingdom)
  2. Sky Islands
  3. Lookout Landing
  4. Colgera Battle
  5. Molduga Battle
  6. Moragia
  7. Master Khoga Battle
  8. Stable (ft. The Stable Trotters)
  9. Horse Ride (Night)
  10. Shrine Battle
  11. Defend Gerudo Town (Final Phase)
  12. Tarrey Town (Day)
  13. Monster Army
  14. Dive into the Depths
  15. Demon King Ganondorf
  16. Demon Dragon (Phase 3)
  17. Final Catch
This is still a rather large list for a single game but considering that Tears of the Kingdom will be getting a huge amount of representation in Infinite Beyond, we can probably bend it just a little.

The top post has been updated with current info PLUS content from Infinite.

Ganondorf turns into the Great Demon King, Ganondorf, before thrusting his arm forward, summoning two Moldugas to his bidding, and they do the same thing as the Ganon Final Smash did.
Here are our submissions summarized:

GolisoPower's Proposed Link FS: Vows of Sages
A cinematic Final Smash which calls forth the four sages: Riju, Tulin, Sidon, and Yunobo to perform a combined attack.
GolisoPower's Proposed Ganondorf FS: Calamity Ganon
Ganondorf transforms into Calamity Ganon as seen in the game Age of Calamity as to avoid potential TotK spoilers.

Janx_uwu's Proposed Link FS: Ultrahand
Link utilizes the creative properties of Ultrahand though this would need to be nerfed due to the mechanical and technical difficulties. In addition, Infinite Beyond is still keeping with the concept of "shorter Final Smashes".
GolisoPower's Proposed Ganondorf FS
Ganondorf transforms into the Great Demon King, Ganondorf as seen in the final battle of TotK.

When voting, please either write the character's name or use a Smashboards smilies :ultlink: :ultganondorf: followed by the user's name. Just one vote per character:

As I mentioned earlier but failed to elaborate on, both Zelda's and Ganondorf's Final Smashes will change based on what costume they are using. I will dive into that in the next couple of days. I have some extra free time this weekend but moving into the week, I will be largely away from a computer for several days thus unable to actually update the thread.

Judging by voting, here is what we have in regard to Link and Ganondorf...

We will be utilizing Golisopower's version of Link's Final Smash where we will so use Janx's version of Ganondorf's Final Smash.

Thank you everyone for submitting and voting. I happened to have more time than I thought to work on this.

We will begin the next job which is....Alternate Costume & Colors Submissions

That being said, I do want to provide some framework for future jobs:

1) Alternate Costume & Color Submissions
2) Tears of the Kingdom Spirits
3) Assist Trophy from Tears of the Kingdom
4) Pokemon Scarlet & Indigo Pokeball Pokemon Submissions
5) Pokemon Scarlet & Indigo Stage Submissions
6) Pokemon Scarlet & Indigo Music Submissions
7) Pokemon Scarlet & Indigo Spirit Submissions

Alright, with that being out of the way, here is our Alternate Costumes & Colors Submission

For Link, we will have both his Tears of the Kingdom Outfit, Breath of the Wild Outfit, AND his Tunic of the Wild Outfit

Here is how it will look

1689632626246.png

Default
Color 1Color 2Color 3
1689632696353.png
Color 1
Color 2Color 3
1689632711744.png
Color 1Color 2Color 3

These correspond with his color palette here

So we need colors for the Tears of the Kingdom Link. To be clear, this is the shirtless form of Link as seen below

Next, we will also need colors for Ganondorf as he will have a split of...

Color 1Color 2Color 3Color 4Color 5
1689633161324.png
Color 1Color 2Color 3Color 4Color 5

Now, unlike Link, we will need to repurpose some of Ganondorf's alternate colors over to TotK Ganondorf.

Finally, we go to Zelda...

1689633238058.png
Color 1Color 2Color 3Color 4Color 5
Color 1Color 2Color 3Color 4Color 5

Same thing with Ganondorf, we need to repurpose some of her alternate colors over to TotK Zelda

These three characters already have color swaps for their SSBU designs plus Link's BotW Tunic and TotW Tunic. All we need is 13 new colors; 5 for Zelda, 5 for Ganondrof, and 3 for Link. Now, this is how we will do things differently....

I will not be initiating a voting round but, instead, will look at what we have submitted and I will pick and choose based on realizable it can be along with correct and balanced representation between users in regards to submissions.

When submitting, fill in the following

:ultlink:

:ultganondorf:

:ultzelda:

Now, you can fill in as much as you can but I do want to encourage everyone to fill in at least two per character so we have a good range to go with. Anything we do not get will be filled in by me.

Wingsuit (Brown): A useful outfit from Tears of the Kingdom that gets significantly more powerful upon upgrading through the ability to negate all fall damage. In his TotK appearance, Link's robe becomes a darker shade of brown with a few notes of tan and red to allude to the suit in question.
  2. 1689660856335.png

Mystic Armor: A set of armor that uses Rupees as fuel for defense, the Mystic Armor is themed after Satori and is given by Koltin in exchange for Bubbul Gems. In Smash, Link's robes gain a sky-blue and white hue to them, alluding to this unique armor.

Twili Midna (Default) The true form of Midna from Twilight Princess, so beautiful one would be lost for words. For this alt color, Zelda gains sky-blue skin, black-and-teal clothes and orange hair, all alluding to Midna's general color scheme.
  2. Light Dragon (TotK): A new fourth dragon wandering the entirety of Hyrule across all the towers of the map, the Light Dragon is first seen flying past the Great Sky Island. How this dragon came to be would surprise you... In this alternate costume, Zelda gains crystalline-blue hair, white-and-gold clothes and a golden cape.

Silver Lynel (TotK): One of the strongest foes of both BotW and TotK, the Silver Lynel is enough to strike fear into the hearts of both newcomers and even some veterans. In this, Ganondorf gets a strange inversion of his usual color scheme: his hair becomes stark-black while his skin becomes a stark white, save for purple zebra stripes scattered on his torso and arms.
  2. 1689660178991.png

Phantom Ganon (TotK): A recurring boss and final form of the Gloom Hand enemies, Phantom Ganon can be considered by many as a sneak peek for the final battle. of TotK. In Smash, Ganondorf retains his more buff appearance, but he is slightly silhouetted save for ominous red shading on his body to play up his demonic appearance.

1. Armorless (Pale). As in the opening scenes of BotW as well as TotK, Link only wears dark-blue trunks, with his new Zonai markings more visible.

2. King Rauru (Grey). Link's hair becomes white and a bit longer, and his Archaic set goes from green to blue.

3. Cece (Pink). Link now wears the Cece Hat and the green part of his Archaic set becomes pink.

1. Gerudo Voe (Green). Ganondorf's robes become green and his pants red.

2. Dinraal (White). Dinraal represents the Triforce of Power so I think this makes sense for a TotK Ganondorf. His jewelry is bright red and orange, his skin goes white, and his robes are grey.

1. Archaic (white). Zelda's outfit becomes green and grey, with a bit of brown, as she appears in TotK's geoglyphs.

We will now begin doing submissions for...

Actually, I didn't switch things up. We have been heavily focusing on Tears of the Kingdom content but I feel it's perfectly fine to sort of get ourselves refreshed. We will be doing Tears of the Kingdom Spirits but I want to focus on other content...

Item Submissions: New Pokeball Pokemon

I feel it would be fun to do some Pokemon Pokeball Submissions. All Pokemon are indeed returning but we will be adding not only new Pokemon from Scarlet and Violet. I will discuss Pokemon Legends Arceus later. Now, the number we will be including will be smaller than usual with only 10 new pokemon who will appear. Please note the following:

  • Their inclusion means that they will not be able to become playable
  • They will not be a part of any stage cameo
  • They will have a Spirit
As per Pokemon submission, please indicate:

  • Name
  • Type(s)
  • What move they do
  • Description of the move
You may submit two Pokeball Pokemon. I know we usually don't do that but I want a large pool of Pokemon to be submitted. I aim to do the entire Pokeball Pokemon in this job but if it doesn't work out that way, than it is ok.. If a submitter gets a Pokemon in, then they are locked out if their second choice wins. I hope that makes sense. We will see how it goes and will alter it if need be.

Pokeball submission:
Grafaiai (Poison/Normal type)
1689765909496.png
Grafaiai is a "Toxic monkey" pokemon (it's types are poison/normal) that debuted in Pokemon Scarlet & Violet video game (which it takes place in Iberia-inspired pokemon region) and it's based on aye-aye (a monkey-like lemur that is native to Madagascar - an african island that is found next to Africa on right) and hip-hop/grafitti culture (it also has inspiration taken from Oma Forest - a forest that was painted by Augustin Ibarrola due to it's obsession with painting a tree in various patterns).
This pokemon evolves from Shroodle starting at level 28.

Grafaiai is considered as one of most acclamined gen 9 pokemon due to it's inspiration (like animal choice and theme of the pokemon being "grafitti" culture) and even being a very good pokemon for the battles (it is actually an excellent physical attacker with high speed and decent attack).

As a pokemon summon, Grafaiai jumps out of the pokeball and starts to run around the stage.
It's move is called Acid spray and Grafaiai shoots out a toxic spray cloud like a grafitti can shoots out a spray of paint. The spray shot by the pokemon deals normal damage and it gives a poison effect on opponents when having a contact with it.
It can also use this attack while moving, which it makes him a fun pokemon summon.

I think he would be a really fun addition to smash as a pokemon summon, since he would be a fun pokemon summon and he is one of my favorite gen 9 pokemon.

2nd Pokeball submission:
Tinkaton (Fairy/Steel)
1689771944220.png
Tinkaton is a "hammer" pokemon that debuted in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet and it's based on duendes (goblin-like creatures from Iberian folklore), goblins and gremlins. It alsi borrows inspiration from "innocent girls with giant weapons" archetype from popular media.
This pokemon evolves from Tinkatuff at level 38 and it's a final form of Tinkatink.

This pokemon is also considered as one of most acclaimed gen 9 pokemon due to it's stats and cute design. Heck, it became a "meme" due to it's relation to Corviknight.

When summoned from pokeball, Tinkaton would try to attack the nearest player with it's hammer. The move that the pokemon is called Gigaton hammer which Tinkaton slams into the player with it's hammer and it also gives a bury effect on opponent.
The damage of the attack is very heavy and what's worse that it can also attack the players in the air (which this pokemon jumps into the air and does a BONK on player that appears in air (probably doing an aerial attack or something)).

Just like Grafaiai, this pokemon summon would be totally fun and she is so popular enough that many pokemon fans "fell in love" for this pokemon.
