Realistically speaking we probably won't get any newcomers until at least January. Until then, I wouldn't be surprised if we saw new stages, items, and maaaaaaaaaaaaybe some veterans but I'm not holding my breath.

Unless the June release is rumored to be true.

I've also got things to hold my Smash 4 hype down. For me, I've been waiting for Pikmin 3 for years now, and it's coming out in August.

I can handle the wait. I survived Brawl's hype. Man I remember I was still in Highschool at the time lol, checking the dojo every morning before class.

To be fair, there was a lot more to be hyped about. Lots of info and all.

But even then it would still be about six months away. Think about Brawl. The Dojo opened in May 2007 and newcomers weren't shown until August because, at the time, the game was supposed to come out in December. A delay was reported in October resulting in November and December's updates largely stalling for time. If the two month delay didn't happen, the last two characters (Sheik and Olimar) would have been revealed in November meaning the final countdown was originally intended to be about four months.

Speaking of third parties, fingers crossed that Sonic gets City Escape or Emerald Coast or at least Death Egg Zone as a stage in Smash if/when he makes it back in

I actually love the idea of waiting, anticipating the next reveal, speculating amongst each other; pre-release hype is where it's at

After all, can't speak for others, but I'm here for the entire experience; if I were only interested in the game, then I really wouldn't even bother posting here

Well Nintendo are going to Gamescom as well, but I'm not holding my breath.

Not sure about Gamescom; I think it is more likely that we will see something during TGS. But that's assuming they want/have stuff to show during these events. But who knows.

I personally would like to see per newcomer about 2 Vets. But I doubt that is going to happen. The veterans that are from Brawl apart from Pit are going to make us antsy for the most part. I can already see the hype and fear when certain returners and possible newcomers are announced.

I can wait though, definitely. Odd because I'm usually not a very patient person

Well seeing how Megaman appears on stage I'd assume character entrances from Brawl and Smash 64 are back....

In the Megaman trailer right after the "Megaman Joins the Battle!" intro, it shows him entering the stage.

Well, Smash is a 2014 release, giving us at most 17 months to have some characters revealed (assuming it doesn't get delayed into 2015), making me believe we shouldn't wait long at all for ANY kind of character, veteran or newcomer.

I'm looking at the trailer and one thing has always bugged me about his Boozer Dropkick. We've seen that his FTilt and DTilt are still intact so the input is on neither. It doesn't look like a Smash attack either as the white spark doesn't appear. I think there are a few possibilities for this:

1. We may be getting angle inputs for more than just angled FTilts and FSmashes
2. We might be looking at possibly a new attack button - Please let this be true!

Dropkick is F-Smash.
It's more clear when you watch the Developer Direct video when Sakurai is talking about Bowser on the 3DS version.
