I probably died the most on the ball-rolling mini level. It was so much fun, and I couldn't help but rush. The music built up too... I'm a bit silly like that.

Call me a nut, but... I honestly didn't find the Purple Coin challenges (especially Luigi's Purple Coin) to be tough at all. I died a few times, then that was it, and it was just as easy when I was Luigi.

So long as Galaxy 2 has less 1-UPs everywhere, more Yoshi, more Luigi on Yoshi, then we're good.

Mario's exclamation of the title at the launch screen better be twice as annoying now.

Yes

Once again, getting all stars and beating the final boss will bag you Luigi
Getting all stars and beating the final boss will bag you Yoshi (or alternate Yoshi colors)

An accurate prediction I assume...had a similar prediction for Galaxy 1 and I was right...

I doubt that you'd need to get all the stars to get Yoshi in this game, seeing as you'll probably need Yoshi to be able to get a lot of the stars this time. :p

Even if it's playing the same thing again, it'd be worth it. I'm a big Luigi fan. XD

No, obtaining Yoshi as a full fledged playable character...

It would look odd seeing Yoshi riding another yoshi.....Then again, it was odd seeing 2 Luigi's in SMG 1

LOL! That'd be kinda funny. XD Though funny enough, I can see it. I mean, I bet Mama Yoshi's would carry their young on the saddles too.

Maybe Yoshi wouldn't need to ride another Yoshi because he'll already have the skills needed since he is Yoshi ya know. (That's the best I could phrase it X_X)

Well, the game won't have much story if Shiggy had his way:

"Mario creator Shigeru Miyamoto has said that, despite the love fans had for the first game's plot (centred around Rosalina and the adorable Lumas), 'I'd like to go with as little story as possible...I've always felt that the Mario games themselves aren't particularly suited to having a very heavy story.'"

The article goes on to say that Miyamoto has less to do with Mario games now, but it'll be interesting to see if his desires make it to the game.

♣ Most Mario game's didn't have much of a story just mostly gameplay. Well, we would just have to see. ♥

*Sigh* I really liked that about Galaxy. There were actual cut scenes, and Rosalina's back story was a nice surprise. Though, unless they bring in a new character, there isn't as much back story to deal with, since it's all already been said. Oh well. Having little story in a Mario game is no deal-breaker.

As long as there's not another character to add in the Mario rouster that has little to no background then I'm alright. And the last boss to be much more challenging as well.

Apparently SMG2 will not be featuring a deep narrative, as Miyamoto has said he wants to keep his games light on storytelling.

Which begs the question: Have any Mario games been deep on storytelling?
Super Mario Sunshine. After Mario had arrived in Delfino plaza, he met this thing called FLUDD and used it to save the airport landing site. Then he was accused of ruining delfino plaza and stealing the shine sprites so he was put in jail for the night then was told to clean the place up. Bowser Jr was Shadow Mario and took Peach to Bowser to spend vacation with them. Mario gets up there and stops bowser and they all fall down and FLUDD gets damaged and slowly dies infront of Mario. In the end they were able to fix FLUDD and then they enjoyed their vacation.

IMO the deeper the story line the worse platforming games are. Look at Sonic, they care too much about the storyline so thats why his games suck. We don't NEED sonic to be a wearhog, I just want him to run fast I don't care about a story line. Nintendo understands that and thats why Mario games are so good because they don't have stupid gimmicks. Which brings me back to Mario Sunshine which was the worst of the 3 3D mario games so far because it had a gimmick, FLUDD.

Meh, FLUDD was something new and it was pretty cool. Sure, it wasn't used to the best of it's ability (I thought it was a great idea that could have been used a bit better). However, it was still used fairly well.

As for which of the 3D Mario games were best, I seriously have no clue. I liked all of them so I don't know which order I'd put them in.

Huh. Super Mario Sunshine? Worst?

It's not because of FLUDD IMO. I liked FLUDD. The first person shooter aspect really got me involved.

The only thing I didn't like was the lack of levels. They were all good designs that were there, but there weren't enough IMO.

It'd probably made it to my favorite if there were. Not sure what my favorite is though. I don't count 3d mario games as their own, so Super Mario World gets my favorite Mario platformer vote.
