If we get stages based on Microsoft own games would be great! More stages based on Rareware games will be amazing!

Stages:

BattleToads
a stage based on the original BattleToads would be great! I can see the stage having an 8-bit style. The first level is probably what they'll base the stage on, but the hovercraft section would also make for an interesting stage!

Showdown Town
Origin: Banjo-kazooie: Nuts & Bolts
This would be a good stage to have if they include more banjo-kazooie stage! Players will fight on a platform hovering over the town, much like midgar. L.O.G can be seen flying around in the background before floating around the main platform.

Spiller's harbour
origin: Banjo-kazooie: Grunty's Revenge
A harbor stage in Smash Bros would be great! A stage based on the gba banjo games would also be great!

Windy
origin: Conker's Bad Fur Day
A stage based on the conker series would be fantastic! Windy is the most likely stage for the conker series! if conker doesn't make it as a playable fighter, he should make a cameo on this stage!

Dead Beach
origin: Conker: Live and Reloaded
This is an unlikely stage for smash because of what it's based on, but it would be an interesting stage!

Castle Von Tedisten
origin: Conker: Live and Reloaded
This could be a unique stage to have in Smash Bros due to the cable cars. players fight on the section that have the cable cars. the cable cars will move back and forth, there is a bottomless pit over the cable cars.

Piñata Garden
origin: Viva Piñata
This would be a very simple stage, it will take place on a flat stage with walk-offs. The piñata's from the Viva Piñata games will watch the battle in the background.

Installation 04
origin: Halo
This should be the stage for the Halo series. The stage would be set on the first level based on the Installation. Covenant ships will be stage hazards as well. Warthogs can also be seen in the background!

Reach
origin: Halo Reach
This stage will be based on the city levels of halo reach. A fire fight can be seen in the background.

Haldane Hall
origin: Gears of War
The Fenix Estate would be a great stage to represent the gears of war series! C.O.G and Locust soldiers can be seen battling it out in the background. Phoenix and Dom should make cameos on this stage!

Badlands
origin: Kameo elements of power
A stage based on Kameo elements of power would be interesting. The Badlands would make for a good stage!

The Principle
Origin: Killer Instinct (2013)
Fulgore's stage from Killer Instinct 2013 would be a great stage for Smash Bros! This would be like the King of Fighters stage, the walls can be broken if taken enough damage!

Ghoulheaven Hall
origin: Grabbed by the Ghoulies
This would be a fun stage! Players fight in front of the mansion, there will also be two platforms on this stage too! Skeletons and Imps can be seen watching the battle.

Castle Dedede
Mt. Dedede.png

Game of Origin: Kirby’s Dream Land (1991)*
*Aesthetically based on its appearance in Kirby: Star Allies (2018)

Description: This is where King Dedede’s strongest minions gather! Are you brave enough to survive their onslaught while focusing on the other fighters?

Layout: Above the floor are two platforms on the upper left and right and a central platform in the middle.

Gimmicks and Hazards: Three of the four normal bosses from Kirby’s Dream Land, as well as a boss from Kirby’s Adventure, appear every now and then from a door in each corner of the stage.

-Whispy Woods appears from a door on the bottom left, appearing only on the bottom while his leafy half appears through one of the two upper platforms. As always, he blows air out of his mouth (2%, small knockback) and throws apples at the fighters (5%, small knockback); the apples can sometimes bounce off the central platform.

-Lololo and Lalala appear from a door on the top left. Each one appears on two opposite corners of the castle, pushing giant blocks to push fighters towards the blast zone. The central platform expands and gets moved in between the two top platforms.

-Kracko appears from a door on the bottom right. He shoots two electric beams around his eye (11% each, OK knockback) and summons a Waddle Doo to shoot a weaker beam (7%, small knockback). The central platform completely disappears when Kracko’s on screen.

-Paint Roller appears from a door on the top right, and each door turns into a drawing board on an easel. Paint Roller rolls around on his skates, drawing up items and throwing them onto the battlefield. He can bump fighters as he’s rolling along (6%-8%, OK knockback) without even flinching.

Music: All the Kirby series music.

Main Theme: Mt. Dedede (Kirby’s Dream Land; New Remix)
Alt. Theme: King Dedede’s Theme (for 3DS/ Wii U)

Battlefield/Ω Form: The Ω form is the floor of the castle. The Battlefield form platforms are based on the central platforms.

-Arrow Crate: An indestructible steel crate that bounces fighters back onto the stage.
-Bounce Crate: A crate that can not only bounce fighters up, but take five hits before breaking.
-TNT Crate: A crate that explodes 3 seconds after any contact (15%, OK knockback)
-Nitro Crate: A deadly crate that explodes IMMEDIATELY upon contact (27%, medium knockback), destroying any two crates on both sides of it.

If we get any Bethesda stages as DLC I think Imperial City, Sovngarde, the Foundry and Argent Facilitry from Doom (2016) would make for some great stages!

Palace of Twilight
Origin: The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess

Stage Layout
The stage will have a main middle platform with two smaller platforms to the sides. Players will have to jump to the smaller platforms and will have to avoid getting spiked when crossing the gap. The Twili will appear in the background of the stage, just standing there, menacingly. The Zant hands will appear as stage hazards, the hands will pop up on the smaller platforms and grab fighters. if one of the hands grabs a fighter, it will take them to the main platform and slam the fighter to the ground.

Coconut Mall

Coconut Mall.png

Game of Origin: Mario Kart Wii (2008)

Description: Yes, this mall is also a race track. As expected, you’ll find a dozen Shy Guys racing every now and then. However, there’s also Item Boxes to keep the battle interesting. It’s a mall, after all, so why not have the proper items in stock?

Layout: There is a fountain in the center that uses its spout to push up players. There are also two escalators on either side.

Gimmicks and Hazards: The escalators on either side can either move fighters up or down (they both move in opposite directions). In addition, Item Boxes can appear randomly and summon an item when touched.

Music: All Mario Kart tracks, along with;
-Coconut Mall (New Remix)
-Mute City (Mario Kart 8)
-Big Blue (Mario Kart 8)

Battlefield/Ω Form: The Ω form is based off the fountain. The Battlefield platforms are based on the stairs of the escalator.

I would love to see some more BOTW love in Smash, especially now that we have Age of Calamity and BOTW2 coming soon.

I feel a good stage would be Hyrule Castle, where the actual stage is in the city below, in front of the gates. For stage hazards we could possibly have occasional Guardians lazers and random enemies showing up here and there? Would be pretty neat for a stage hazard.

A stage based on the Sky Piller from Pokemon Ruby and Sapphire would be an interesting stage! Rayquaza should be the stage hazard, using some of it's moveset from Brawl! Other gen 3 legendaries like deoxys and Jirachi should also make cameos on this stage as well! I hope we get Deoxys's theme, the Regi battle theme and Wally's battle theme from the remakes if we ever got this stage in Smash Bros!

This could be another fun stage

1604347578028.png

Imagine a rush match stage with the classic water gimmick. Boss Bass is the stage hazard that gimmicky can still eat the player fighters. Depending on the player character % damage taken, can be un-mouth-ted from Boss Bass's attempt at eating the player fighter, knocking the fish from the stage until respawning.

No particular one in mind, but I would like to see one of the Portal testing chambers in Smash. It could have a portal gun up on a robotic arm (like when you first see it in-game), and it would shoot blue and orange portals around the room. The locations of the portals would be set, but randomly chosen, so it could lead to a lot of fun interactions. Having a turret drop in from time to time would also be cool.

Origin: Wario World

This stage would have a grassy floor area with a large beanstalk in the middle. Leaves of the beanstalk would act as platforms. There would be flowers that would rise and lower as the fight goes on. Some generic enemies from Wario World will watch the fight in the background.

Emerald Hill Zone from Sonic 2 should have been Sonic's stage.

Green Hill Zone is bland and barely memorable. Emerald Hill has a bright and interesting aesthetic, background and a far better theme.

While we're on the topic of Sonic stages, I feel that Studiopolis Zone would be a great stage. It's so lively and and the movie theme is great, with popcorn launchers, extendable director's chairs, clapper boards, and satellite dishes. It'd definitely stand out among every other stage in the game.
I came across a DeviantArt post that puts a unique spin on Studiopolis Zone.

Admittedly, I'm a little shocked that they never added Metal Cavern in as a playable stage. That aside, as well as the Bowser's Castle bandwagon, I'd also like to suggest a Sonic stage but that might be more Eggman-centric - perhaps Sky Fleet, from Sonic Heroes, or even a cool callback to a variety of different airborne fortesses such as Wing Fortress and the Flying Battery?

Those aside, I'd also like to see how a Tetris/Dr. Mario stage were to be handled, as I can imagine the very vertical style could be pretty interesting... though I do wonder if the blocks would instantly K.O. seems as it would be a little janky to just... yeet through.

Also, I love the idea of a Jet Set Radio Future stage, specifically either 99th Street or the classic Shibuya Downtown.

If we get a Tetris stage, I hope it's based on Tetris Effect rather than the Gameboy version.

For Sonic stages, I would really like to see Speed Highway or City Escape-cities are a big part of Sonic (they made up more than half of Generations' stages), so having one in Smash would be cool. Studiopolis could also fill this niche, but if we get a Mania stage I would prefer Press Garden. So gosh darn pretty dude. I can't decide between Act 1 or 2, so maybe the stage has a gimmick like Mishima Dojo, but instead of directly breaking the walls you have to fight the Act 1 boss from Mania first, and afterwards the walls and ceiling explode and you get access to Act 2. You could still KO in the first part though, maybe a pit could be the blast zone.

I don't have a most wanted stage, but one of them that's up there is definitely Meta Crystal from 64. Would be a really fun competitive stage and also could call to mind one of the coolest opponents in Smash history.

I dunno man, something about him is just freaking cool.

In terms of fan requested Smash stage rankings:

Bowser's Castle is the dream.
Metal Crystal is the myth
City Escape is the closes to reality.

Bowser's Castle and City Escape are S rank while Metal Crystal is A rank since its technically selectable in Project M that gives fans some closure.

I feel like I would love Emerald Coast/Sonic Adventure tho, the island and rock platform portions to be specific with the whale hazard.

Um...anyone for Small Battlefield?
There was a problem fetching the tweet
This is real, btw.
No thank you. I really think Sakurai just got lazy with that stage if you ask me.

And really!!! You can't put in more single player modes like Break The Targets, Smash Run, Or Board The Platforms for people who have nowhere to go or any friends to hang out with who's online connection sucks rumpus?

Or put in any cool unlockable costumes for other characters who aren't Mii's?

Or fix the online to where it's fast and smooth?

But you waste time throwing in a small version of Battlefield with the exact same songs that wasn't needed at all????????????????????????????

So no. Not up for it at all. And much like everything else that's been added as DLC (Except for Banjo And Kazooie, Kazuya, Terry, Min-Min and Home Run Contest).

I can't find a single reason to purchase that stage at all.

Look Sakurai. I know your sick and tired of Smash and you hate your series so much and want to be done with it.

But can you at least attempt to make Smash a better game and throw in some more half decent DLC that doesn't have me asking for God to end the universe right this very minute.

Sheesh. Talk about dramatic.

The stage is free and you don't need to purchase it lol. Small Battlefield is likely a nice bonus that they decided to throw in because it was effortless to develop. Standalone modes like Break the Targets, Smash Run, etc. would need much, MUCH more dev time because they need new assets, as opposed to Small BF which just slightly tweaks the platform layout and blast zones.

Also, how does adding a small bonus stage that's suitable for competitive play demonstrate that Sakurai "hates" this series and wants to be done with it?

Bowser's Castle: Wdym we have a bazillion Mario stages (that also look mostly the same) yet you tell me this was never included?

Dr. Mario stage: Even worse that this wasn't included.

Pac-Maze: Way better and more iconic than the absolute hellhole that is the Pac-Land sidescrolling stage. Just remove the gimmick and call it a day.

Rainbow Road: Why on Earth was this removed?

All of the previous FD's: Just give me Melee's FD, thank you.

I cannot find a reason to purchase Small Battlefield either. Cuz it's kinda, y'know, free and not purchasable. Dunno where you got the impression that it was paid DLC.

You clearly don't follow competitive Smash, otherwise you would have realized immediately why Small Battlefield was a welcome addition. Not many stages are suited to serious competitive play, and of the ones that are, there are a lot of big stages. Most of the smaller stages that were considered early on had to be dropped due to fatal flaws (for example: Castle Siege has a camera issue where it's hard to see what's happening offstage on the right side). Having so many big stages only increased the disadvantages that slow characters face, and made camping with projectiles very strong. While this wasn't the worst or anything, and Small Battlefield doesn't completely solve these issues, it helps mitigate them. If anything, it shows that Sakurai cares and went out of his way to make something beneficial for competitive players, while being mindful to not make something that would take a ton of time and resources away from FP 1 and 2.

stages I'd like to see return:

Poke Floats
pac-maze
rainbow road

New stages I'd like to see:

Traverse Town (kingdom hearts)
Mt. Olympus (God of War)
Hades (Hades)
Scuttle Town (Shantae)
Clock Town (Zelda)
Death Egg (sonic)

Not going into detail on them just throwing out ideas.

Well since I've been playing a ton of Mewtwo, his... castle? stadium? from Mewtwo Strikes Back has always been one of my favorite locales from Pokemon. It's so bizarre and sci-fi. It does have the hurdle of being anime-exclusive, but I doubt that many people would mind.

Aside from the obvious Pac-Maze, Ghost Zone could have been amazing.

1626366569806.png

Namco Museum would have been far better as a scroll stage than the Pac-Land abomination.

1626366805724.png

But Pac-Maze is already perfect and I'm trying to fathom why Sakurai didn't return it in Ultimate. Is Sakurai really a genius or just insane?

You know what? I'm not a big fan of the Oracle games, but I think you might hold something. Let's imagine a stage which starts randomly with either the "boy" or the "girl" tree in the background. If it's the girl, you're in Labrynna, and occasionnally, the time might go back and forth ; if it's the boy, you're in Holodrum, and the seasons will change, like in the Yoshi stage. It could be just cosmetic, or have some impact on the gameplay.

Check out this cool fan-made stage based on Butter Building!
There was a problem fetching the tweet

Hey is that gonna be a mod for Ultimate like Project M???

Where they add stuff that wasn't in the original game?????

Because if that' what theat guy on Twitter is doing!!!

Then I would freaking love to see that mod come into full fruition!!!!

With that mod getting alternate outfits for every character in the game!! New Stages!! Some old single player modes that should been in the base game!! And possibly doing what Project M was going to do and add in characters who weren't in Ultimate!!!

Oh!!!!!!! That would be a real treat to see and play!!!!

Assuming that actually becomes a Project M Mod and isn't just for fun fan made art.

Or assuming Nintendo is stupid and morally corrupt enough to issue a cease and desist on that guys game for no reason (Making me hate The Big N even more).

But I digress.

Still. If this isn't going to be a mod. I just hope someone is nice enough to give Smash Ultimate the Project M treatment with cool additions Sakurai just could not be bothered to add (Why didn't he just delay Ultimate to where there was more time to include more content in the base game for Cinder Fall's sake).

Planet Wisp

Game of Origin:
Sonic Colors (2010)

Layout: Like Green Hill Zone, this stage is a bowl-like shape, but it’s been split in half. There are two platforms above either half that float up and down in opposite directions.

Gimmicks and Hazards: Wisps will appear and assist whichever fighter frees them by pressing B in place of a neutral special (even when you’re in freefall). Two types of Wisps appear:
  • Spikes: The fighter turns into a spike ball that can climb up the slopes and damage opponents just by touching them (10%, OK knockback); they usually appear in the middle of the stage
  • Rocket: The fighter turns into a rocket and flies high into the sky, and usually appear on the upper left and right if the stage; save this for when you’ve been launched
Music: All Sonic series music, along with the following Colors tracks:
  1. Tropical Resort
  2. Planet Wisp
Battlefield/Ω Form: The Ω form is based on the red factory bits; the Battlefield platforms are based on the platforms that appear on the stage

I was thinking to myself and was like "Man, the PWT from Pokemon would be a pretty neat stage."
So here's my prompt.
PWT (Pokemon)
1628038550438.png

The Pokemon World Tournament takes place in the main arena, with many a person watching. The stadium itself is a long walk off similar to the image shown, except the main platform is longer. The stage itself has no hazards, and the main screen will show stats of how well Fighters are doing in a match. However, here comes the main gimmick. Every 30 seconds, the stage will shift to an arena for a specific region. The stage will morph in the back, and the back will have various trainers and one of their Pokemon watch the match, depending on the region. Also depending on the region are hazards.
Kanto Rotation
The stage's main screen will show a simplified layout of Kanto and shift the back to Kanto mode. The characters that can appear in the back are:
Brock and Onix
Misty and Starmie or Psyduck
Erika and Vileplume or Tangela
Sabrina and Alakazam or Mr. Mime
Blaine and Magmar, Arcanine, or Ponyta
Giovanni and Rhyhorn or Persian
Agatha and Gengar
Bruno and Machamp
Professor Oak
The stage will also occasionally feature Blue. Blue will appear by himself, then release Pidgeot. Pidgeot will use Air Cutter, creating several cutting objects that erratically fly around the stage, similar to it's Gen 4 counterpart. After a period of this, he will recall Pidgeot, and the stage will shift back to it's base form.
Johto Rotation
The stage's main screen will show a simplified layout of Johto and shift the back to Johto mode. The characters that can appear in the back are:
Bugsy and Scyther or Metapod and Kakuna
Whitney and Miltank
Morty
Jasmine and Steelix
Amphy
Pryce and Piloswine or Seel
Clair and Kingdra
Silver and Sneasel
Kris
Eusine
Karen and Houndoom
The stage will occasionally feature Lance or Red in a similar vein to Blue. Lance will appear in the back and send out Dragonite. Dragonite will ram the stage with Dragon Rush several times very erratically, dealing hefty damage to anyone it hits. It will then wrap up with Hyper Beam, acting as a laser similar to Genesect's off the side of the stage. Lance will then recall Dragonite, and the stage will shift to it's default. Red can also appear. He will not send out a Pokemon, and will simply stand there with his back turned.
Hoenn Rotation
The stage's main screen will show a simplified layout of Hoenn and shift the back to Hoenn mode. The characters that can appear in the back are:
May
Roxanne and Nosepass
Wattson and Magneton or Manectric
Norman and Slaking
Tate and Liza and Solrock and Lunatone
Lisia and Altaria
Scott
Wally and Gallade
Archie and Sharpedo
Maxie and Camerupt
Anabel and Raikou
Noland
Drake and Shelgon or Flygon
Phoebe and Dusclops or Dusknoir
Zinnia and Aster and Salamence
Gabby and Ty
Cosplay Pikachu (All Forms)

The stage will occasionally feature Steven or Wallace. If the stage has Steven, then Steven will send out Metagross. Metagross will Mega Evolve, leap to the left side of the stage, and ram everyone in it's way with a massively damaging Giga Impact. Steven will then recall Metagross and the stage will shift to default. If Wallace appears, he will send out Milotic. Milotic will appear and use Whirlpool, creating a massive funnel of water in the center of the stage that will cause repeated blows to anyone caught in it. After a short while, he will withdraw Milotic and the stage will shift back to default.
Sinnoh Rotation
The stage's main screen will show a simplified layout of Sinnoh and shift the back to Sinnoh mode. The characters that can appear in the back are:
Lucas and Professor Rowan
Barry and Staraptor
Roark and Cranidos
Maylene and Medicham or Machoke
Crasher Wake and Floatzel or Gyarados
Volkner and Luxray or Electivire
Flint and Magmortar or Infernape
Thorton
Palmer and Regigigas
Darach and Empoleon and Caitlin and Gothitelle or Reuniclus
Cheryl and Chansey
Marley and Arcanine
Looker and Croagunk
Charon

The stage will occasionally feature Cynthia. She will send out Garchomp, who will create a massive Earthquake that deals heavy damage to anyone on the ground when it's used. She then recalls Garchomp and the stage shifts back to default.
Unova Rotation
The stage's main screen will show a simplified layout of Unova and shift the back to Unova mode. The characters that can appear in the back are:
Hilbert and Hilda
Rosa
N
Bianca and Musharna
Cheren and Stoutland
Cilan and Pansage
Cress and Panpour
Chili and Pansear
Burgh and Leavanny or Whirlipede

Drayden and Fraxure
Brycen and Beartic
The Shadow Triad and their Bisharp
Grimsley and Liepard or Sharpedo
Zinzolin and Cryogonal
Heartbreaker Charles
Ingo and Excadrill or Garbodor and Emmett and Klinklang or Archeops
Colress and Magnezone or Metang
Hugh and Flygon
Professor Burnet

The stage will occasionally feature Alder or Iris in her Champion Attire. When Alder appears, he'll use Volcarona. Volcarona will use Heat Wave, creating strong blasts of heat in random spots. Alder will then recall Volcarona and the stage will shift. When Iris appears, she'll use Haxorus. Haxorus will use Outrage, ramming towards the fighters, dealing high damage. After Haxorus has stopped, it will be recalled and the stage will shift.
Kalos Rotation
The stage's main screen will show a simplified layout of Kalos and shift the back to Kalos mode. The characters that can appear in the back are:
Calem and Serena and Meowstic (Both Genders)
Professor Sycamore
Tierno, Trevor and Shauna and Crawdaunt, Florges, and Delcatty
Viola and Surskit or Vivillon
Korrina and Hawlucha

Siebold and Clawitzer or Barbaracle
Wikstrom and Aegislash
Sina and Dexio and Glaceon and Alakazam
AZ and Eternal Flower Floette
Xerosic and Emma and Mimi

The stage will occasionally feature Diantha. She will send out Gardevoir, who will Mega Evolve. Gardevoir will then use Hyper Voice and walk around, creating a damaging obstruction wherever it walks. Diantha will recall Gardevoir after some time, and the stage will return to default.
Alola Rotation
The stage's main screen will show a simplified layout of Alola and shift the back to Alola mode. The characters that can appear in the back are:
Selene
Lillie and Clefairy
Hau and Alolan Raichu
Professor Kukui and Lycanroc Midday
Rotom Pokedex
Illima
The Masked Royal and Incineroar
Sophocles and Togemaru or Charjabug

Nanu and Alolan Persian
Hapu and Mudsdale
Gladion and Silvally
Mohn
Lusamine
Guzma and Golisopod and Plumeria and Salazzle
Samson Oak
Ultra Recon Squad and Poipole

Due to a lack of a proper Champion, Alola's main hazard is Necrozma. Necrozma will emerge from an Ultra Wormhole and use Photon Geyser. The Geysers will have a reticle attempting to target a fighter, and will track them until a small window before Photon Geyser fires. After shooting several of these, Necrozma will return into it's Wormhole.
Galar Rotation
The stage's main screen will show a simplified layout of Galar and shift the back to Galar mode. The characters that can appear in the back are:
Hop and Dubwool or Zamazenta
Bede and Hatterene or Galarian Rapidash
Marnie and Morpeko or Grimmsnarl
Sonia and Yamper

Chairman Rose and Copperajah
Peony and Copperajah
Klara and Galarian Slowbro
Avery and Galarian Slowking
Mustard and Mienshao or Urshifu (Either)
Calyrex

Leon will occasionally appear instead. He will send out Charizard, who will use Inferno, which will generate massive pillars of fire, creating a damaging wall of sorts. These will appear one at a time. They will fade after a short while and another will appear randomly on the stage. Leon will leave after three have been made.
Lunick and Solana and Plusle and Minun, Lear and Hoopa, Grand Oak, Todd Snap, Detective Pikachu, Professor Willow and Meltan, Greevil, Rui, and Mirror B and Ludicolo, will also randomly appear at any point in the stage.
Anyone have suggestions on how to improve it?
