Let's try this one:

Spirit: Fighting Polygon Team
Effect: Primary Advanced Grab (Weight Down)
Opponent: Mario x3, Donkey Kong x3, Link x3, Kirby x3, Yoshi x3, Fox x3, Samus x2, Luigi x2, Captain Falcon x2, Ness x2, Jigglypuff x2, Pikachu x2
Stage: Battlefield form Great Cave Offensive
Music: Duel Zone (Battlefield), Super Smash Bros. 64
Rules: All enemies are super easy to launch and have poor A.I. Basically a recreation of the 1P Game fight in the original Super Smash Bros.
Wait a Minute that was the same thing but it has a different set up and has the Hostile Assist Trophy being Akira Yuki

Spirit: Slap (PANIC! / Switch) (Advanced)
Opponent: :ultluigi:(Purple)
Spirit Info: Support Attack that gives you Screen Flip Immunity
Stage: Pictochat 2
Rules: The Controls will Reverse forever. Luigi is Distracted by items

I actually imagined him as being a full-blown boss.

He would have attacks based on the ones he uses in TF2 (including the Prop Hunt attack), and at some point, your fighter is given a bomb head and has a short time to slam into Merasmus to stun him or else they take major damage. Just imagine Bayonetta with a bomb head. Or Kirby, for that matter.

Stage: Frigate Orpheon Battlefield
Rules: Peach has a Super Scope, Daisy has a Beam Sword, Rosalina has a Ray Gun. Their Weapons have Increased Power as well as their Shooting Attacks
Music: Rosalina in the Observatory
Origin: Daisy = Layer. Rosalina = Palette. So yeah....

Music: Primarily came up with this idea for one reason (Nintendo please, add Mystery Dungeon music or any Pokemon spinoff music to Smash) The battle starts off with this, and then transitions into this
How the Battle Goes: You are heavily slowed down, and the stage is covered in poisonous cloud. Ice Climbers have Super Amour, but won't move and will very rarely attack. it's also a stamina battle, with Ice Climbers starting at 999 and two Superstars worth of invincibility (that won't make the superstar music), until the invincibility runs out and the music switches out as they're lowered to 250 stamina, and you get your speed back. Ice Climbers will also start to attack even less. if you don't have a poison resisting/immunity/healing spirit equipped, you'll only have a few seconds to knock out Icies before you lose all your stamina.

  • Bayonetta will become temporarily invincible after a while.
  • Weapon attacks are increased in damage.
  • Bayonetta is equipped with a Killing Edge. (This and the invincibility and weapon attacks are a reference to the Elma Spirit Battle.)
  • Defeat Main Fighter to win.
  • The entire Spirit Battle is a reference to the Land of Challenge, and the fact that Shulk, Fiora and Elma are unlockable Blades in that DLC.

Spirit Type: Advanced defence spirit

Spirit Effect: increases water attack

Hey, I’m glad I found this topic. I really like the Spirits system in Ultimate, as it provides a great way for Smash to pay homage to different series in a way previous Smash games could not. Lately, just for fun, I’ve been brainstorming ideas for some of the major Nintendo and video game characters that didn’t make the final cut, as well as some of my personal favorite game characters.

I’ll list them in spoiler tags for convenience as well as hiding any plot spoilers the characters I list might involve. Look carefully at the tags if you do not want a particular game spoiled.

In order to challenge myself, I worked as hard as I could to make these as realistic as possible, only using rules and characteristics with precedent within the game, so they might seem rather conservative in their scope. Still, I tried to imbue each character with as much personality as I could. There are also some statistics I didn’t list, as I couldn’t figure out exactly how to calculate them, but I did include general statements about how their stats are balanced.

I have more ideas in the works, so if this thread stays active, I may post more.

Hey, I’m glad I found this topic. I really like the Spirits system in Ultimate, as it provides a great way for Smash to pay homage to different series in a way previous Smash games could not. Lately, just for fun, I’ve been brainstorming ideas for some of the major Nintendo and video game characters that didn’t make the final cut, as well as some of my personal favorite game characters.

I’ll list them in spoiler tags for convenience as well as hiding any plot spoilers the characters I list might involve. Look carefully at the tags if you do not want a particular game spoiled.

In order to challenge myself, I worked as hard as I could to make these as realistic as possible, only using rules and characteristics with precedent within the game, so they might seem rather conservative in their scope. Still, I tried to imbue each character with as much personality as I could. There are also some statistics I didn’t list, as I couldn’t figure out exactly how to calculate them, but I did include general statements about how their stats are balanced.

I have more ideas in the works, so if this thread stays active, I may post more.

I chose Kirby as the representative of Ochaco because people started making comparisons between them for this one scene with Ochacho floating.
