Haunted is easily the darkest Teen Titans episode.

I don’t hate teen titans go, it can be really funny.

But I really think they should have just made original characters and had the show be about them. There would be zero controversy if that happened.

That reminds me - I really need to watch that show. I have the first two seasons on BluRay, but my BluRay player stopped working, so it's not as convenient to watch BluRays at the moment. (I can watch them on the PS3, but that's a bit of a hassle for a few reasons)

Also, on a vaguely related note, I miss Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes.

The DCAU is still probably the best representation of most DC characters outside of the comics. They really nailed a lot of the characters and what makes them so good, which is more then could be said for modern non-comic DC, sheesh. Also not part of the DCAU but I'd strongly recommend the Green Lantern animated series as well, made by the same guys and really good too.
Shame it was cancelled for not selling enough toys haha im fine.

It's hard to justify the budget for an animated action/adventure series (looking at episodes that cost at least a million a pop, probably closer to to 2 million) when you can put out a Flash animated comedy show that can rerun in syndication indefinitely. Or the demographic for that (teens and up) just go and watch anime anyway.

Voltron was successful though (despite being bad) and the Samurai Jack revival did well too so hopefully more studios are willing to try them again.

JLU also has the best adaptation of Civil War (or rather what Civil War should've been)

So much talk of dark cartoons, yet not one mention of Invader Zim. A favorite of mine, although it's a surprise it ever landed on Nick of all networks. Too bad budget issues and low ratings killed it fairly early.

It does have that one movie that should be out this year, but I doubt much will come out of it.

You mean actual characters, as in not skins, right? With alteted movesets? Yeah, I doubt anyone has the time to do that now, but we could get nice additions. I don't really use mods ever, though.

I understand why big fans of the original don't like it, as it "replaced" the show they loved, but all of the actors shine in comedy and it's one of the best comedic cartoons I've ever watched.

Also 2003 TMNT was best. I also have respect for the 1987 cartoon as well since without it TMNT would not be what it is today and wouldn't have things like the 2003 cartoon.

Agreed. Probably my favorite adaption of the franchise alongside the IDW Comics.

One thing I especially loved about it was having story arcs, process of character development and eventually concluding on a great note with April's and Casey's wedding though there was that crossover Turtles Forever which was actually the end of it all. Decent film I will say.

One of my favorite teenage/early adult memories is when I had my wisdom teeth removed, I spent the entire week just binge-watching TMNT 2003. It's one of my greatest memories. It was a lot of fun and I came to really appreciate the show. Don's my favorite for sure, because his role on the team is both tragically underrated and necessary, with Raphael being a close second.

See Teen Titan’s GO isn’t even a bad idea. It’s just they way they executed it. I feel sometimes they try to go to over the top and to “hahahahaha butts” and it ends up falling flat for a lot of audiences.

My daughter and I learned important lessons yesterday. She learned that she can successfully shove at least three crackers into a PlayStation 3 disc slot with minimal crumblage. I learned that at least three crackers can damage the system. And as a result, I also learned to keep anything I cherish and that is expensive out of her reach until she knows better.
