I honestly think that the Pokémon twitter getting flooded by Dexit is perfectly healthy and is highly likely to work if things keep up. Money speaks, so showing GameFreak that removing Pokémon will decrease sales and damage the brand significantly is going to positively affect the decisions that they make. The entire point of the Pokémon twitter account is advertisement, so every tweet they send bringing with it Dexit rage is something that will definitely be seen by higher-ups.

I'm not fuming or refusing to allow others to enjoy Generation 8, but I do support us consumers showing what our more than reasonable standards are. I don't expect SwSh to launch with all of the Pokémon, but it is not at all beyond GameFreak's ability to announce that they are going to patch the rest in 6 months later. And if I may be so bold, I would say that the backlash to the backlash is also unhealthy if we want GameFreak to take the player base seriously. If we gradually peeter out and shut up about this, then why should they listen when we ask for innovation or to have more than 50 new Pokémon? We are all on the same team and in the same boat, so we can enjoy Pokémon as a community but put on an angry face when GameFreak is looking.

Dexit really isn't going to affect sales much, it only effects people who care about transferring their pokemon a ton. Those people tend to be the superfans who have played every game and have some cherished pokemon they always take with them. Nowadays, Game Freak doesn't care about marketing to those people, its about the kids who are picking up the series for the first time and the nostalgic 30 somethings who haven't played a game in ages. Neither of those demographics are really going to care.

I would guess that its pretty much just to the person writing it to judge if its necessary to put spoilers, I don't like to be direct with the spoilers just in case someone is in the dark but wants to play the game but write it with enough info so people that have heard the spoilers know what I'm talking about.

In this case while FFVII is a pretty popular game, is not a game a lot of people here have played due to not being on Nintendo platforms which are favored by many users here. So at least if people haven't heard that particular spoiler, that they manage to enjoy finding out in the story.

That is true also why I never named it.

You may or not be happy to know that I did it. I beat Bael.

I had to grow about five levels, make a lot of food, and borrow three of OD’s books, but nonetheless I beat this amazing, beautiful game.

Yeah, I don't really know about what the surrounding drama is with misinformation or whatnot. I saw some stuff at a glance about poorly textured trees in the E3 demo and was like "Come on guys. It's a demo." I just hope that we can all get the message across to GameFreak in an appropriate way.

Gonna do the unthinkable and actually share some personal life stuff here for once, though I have a reason. Last year around late summer/early autumn I had noticed my eye sight getting worse again (I've been having to wear glasses since grade 10 which was like...9-10 years ago now) so I got my eyes checked and was diagnosed with a disease known as Keratoconus. Short and simple explanation is that my cornea isn't a bowl shape like it's meant to be but rather a cone shape and it keeps going more and more cone-like. Makes it so things far away are blurry for me and glasses can't help since my vision keeps changing. Was told about a surgery that could be done that wouldn't improve my eyes but would stop them from getting worse (this disease can keep affecting ones eyes supposedly until ones 40s) but the surgery isn't covered by OHIP. I was signing up for as much overtime as possible after my fiancee was done visiting and I finally had enough money to book the date for the surgery today. The hospital that's gonna do the surgery ended up getting funding for the surgery so I don't even have to pay for it. Surgery date is August 28th and I gotta spend as little time as possible looking at screens for a week after it's done which brings up the main reason I'm even bringing this up.

staindgrey if my AMA comes up through the random selection around late August to early September, I won't be able to participate due to my surgery. Any other time is fine and I don't really care when it happens but figured I'd inform you and I guess be a bit more open around here since I never am.

Anyway, as for Smash speculation, I'm still back on posts from Sunday and I gotta say, I'm rather surprised there's been no mention of the Dragonborn from Skyrim. Incredibly popular game, easy enough to come up with a moveset, third party if that matters at all. A stage would be easy to come up with due to the huge world Skyrim has, not sure about spirits since I'm not sure how much official artwork Skyrim has for characters. Music might be difficult without a lot of remixes. And then there's the issue of Bethesda being a Western company without strong ties to Nintendo like those that made . Plus I can see people going 'ugh, another humanoid swordsman' despite the access to maces, axes, 2 handed weapons, archery, magic and shouts. I'm sure the idea would be brought up more if CaptainAmerica still posted here.

so the part 5 anime finishes its main story this week, and then rolling stones the week after.

all in all pretty good adaptation, extremely surprised it didnt go to the toilet like part 4. fine on its own, but with the manga compared to it its just really that much worse. can't say that about part 5, it fleshed out a lot of things that were missing.

they also changed diavolo's face which was originally this

don't know why, they just did. anyway, it was pretty good. giorno's still the worst joestar as a character though, no adaptation can change that. at least bruno exists to make up for it, he's pretty much the top spot of supporting character in the entire series. the man rivals gyro, and that takes some balls of steel to do that. literally.

anyway here's hoping for a purple haze feedback OVA. or dead man's questions because purple haze feedback isnt even canon it's just a book.

Pokemon conquest is good but far from great

I played a lot of it so I should know. If you want strategic gameplay you're better off looking for a game like fire emblem or disgaea. Conquest is fun but I really think it needs a sequel to flesh out its mechanics more and make it into something that really stands out.

we all know people are weak. They will buy the game anyway because they they dont have the willpower to skip a pokemon game even if they are 100% dissatisfied

I'd love to see a more balanced sequel to that game. It's very addicting, but can also be frustrating to deal with at times. Grinding for levels & luck felt more important than managing your soft-troops & cities.

More neutral arenas vs. type gimmicks
Speed up/skip animations
No Dragon Rage!
Can select/restart campaigns at will.
Pokemon have more than a single move to attack with.

But in general I'd like to see a better UI/make it easier to manage the Dex. I still have no idea how to unlock/recruit Legendaries or deal with the more nuanced aspects of the Nobunaga's Ambition's gameplay.

I thought the part 4 anime was fine, although I waited to watch the Blu-Rays. I'll do the same for 5.

I'm just waiting for that Steel Ball Run adaptation. It's gonna be anime of the century.

This would be pretty good to see and could in theory work depending on the stunts involved in the movie. I don’t think Hugh Jackman would be down for coming back but It would be cool to see.

I found them always playable. I had a ton of fun playing them over and over again. I didn't find FRLG's changes honestly super good either. I found the Sevii Islands kind of eh, and I liked the glitches/bugs. Mind you, the Monster Brain thing helped(but that I got wayyyyy after I played each game multiple times. In fact, what helped a lot was Pokemon Stadium, which let me do a lot more with each Pokemon, including storing them), but it also worked well enough while I could have a lot of fun at that point. I beat Red/Blue/Yellow back then and replayed them more than once without the MB. Truthfully, FR/LG just didn't feel like "Holy cow, this is a massive improvement' to me. I mean, it technically is in its own right. But a lot of games when replying I like to use fun codes to do silly things, and I have more options with RBY with no major glitch issues. Besides, I often enjoying having a Missingno. on my team overall. Not for the sake of item glitching, but because I find it a fun glitch character to use.

Remakes will always be different and won't do exactly the same thing you "want". I didn't really go through ORAS very much as it didn't feel like the old ones. Maybe it's just the weaker version of Pickup. Maybe it's that it didn't hold my interest as easily as the originals did, which I had a ton of fun with(especially RS alone. Emerald I didn't go fully through). Sometimes nostalgia is enough. Sometimes those slice of life changes don't do it for all players. I vastly prefer the original version of Rage too, not the one from Gen II on. So that's yet another factor.
