I remember playing this on a PS1 demo disk, but I don't remember the OST being this vibetastic. Lounge, Drum N' Bass and a bit of Funk? You love to hear it. Literally.
It also took me forever to realize that Ralph Wolf wasn't just literally Wile E. Coyote. I think the nose colors are supposed to set them apart.

I'm going back and looking at clips I saved from my time and quickplay, and man, some of these don't look half as cool as they felt.
Getting a Nair -> Dash Attack -> Fair KO string is cool and all but just showing that alone doesn't communicate how tense the entire match I got it in was.

I need to play a turn based rpg idk why i don't it just seems every time i get money for a new game i want something else more. I could be that me not liking Loz has made me scared of spending money on RPGs.

Well you see when i thought i was never returning to smashbords because of life issues i deleted my account then one day i got bored and said "ima delete my account" so i did and made 1 a mouth later then i got bored AGAIN and said "ima delete my account again to see if mods will get ticed" so it was done. IDK. Like, the FF ip is more expensive, but they can clearly afford it and Square seems perfectly cooperative. They just want more money for extra songs etc.

Frankly Dragon quest is so big of a cultural icon in Japan that I doubt any of the parties involved would want to remove it from Smash so Hero is probably safe for future titles. Kinda like how Sonic is now a Smash mainstay because he has cultural relevance and it would be weird if they got rid of him.
It'll be especially easier to get the music from Dragon quest in the next game considering how old the owner of the music is... the guy who's supposed to get the rights once he passes away is also more cooperative last I heard.

I mean, one can argue that FF is a cultural icon as well, so there's no reason they would cut Cloud.
Too bad it doesn't get treated like a cultural icon in Smash, which is why I wouldn't be surprised if he's gone in Smash 6.

None of them would appeal to me in the slightest so I would be glad I didn't purchase the pass.
Also, Dr. Coyle looks really out-of-place among all the other old characters.

I can easily see Cloud never coming back simply because the legal rights to Final fantasy seem a lot more difficult to deal with than the ones for Dragon quest.

You know that in order to get those music tracks for hero they had to license each one separately. If it was just Erdrick, we’d only have the two 3 songs.

Makes you really wonder how those Mario sports games from the DS and Wii Era was abke to have far more FF content than in Smash lol.

It's not even just the music. Dragon Quest represents it's entire series loud and proud and FF is just... 7. Like, look at the character themselves, Hero just has way more love put into him than Cloud does. Look at DQ's Mii Costumes, 3 outfits and a hat compared to FF's -1 because the Chocobo got cut, look at the spirits. I mean, Cloud didn't even get his own artwork as a spirit, like come on. FF get's like the bare minimum, even though it's up there with Pokemon and DQ in terms of being a huge pillar for RPGs and gaming as a whole.

It also probably helped that the specific FF characters were the generic ones like Black mage and Cacuar.
It would have been amazing to have characters like Zidane and Tifa in a Mario sports title lol
