The Sephiroth in Remake is actually the Sephiroth Cloud omnislashes at the end of FF7. He went back in time to mess up Cloud so he doesn't win or some bull**** like that.

It's not an FF7 Remake. It's Sephiroth remaking FF7, and that's what they're selling to their long time fans who waited so long for an actual FF7 Remake.

I don't know the specifics because I still need to actually play FF 7 (again, ask

Gentlepanda ), but it's pretty counterintuitive when the product you're pitching is a remake of one of gaming's most iconic RPGs.

I mean, I guess it is a remake in a sense. But that sounds like ****ty marketing, but I feel like reception is still going to be overwhelmingly positive no matter the outcome.

Given how some people in this thread have expressed positive feelings toward the twist, you might be right. Future parts though? If Nomura is at the helms of creative writing, god help this story being actually good.

I never said people have been waiting for Joker. I agree- he’s a welcome surprise. A welcome surprise. Anyways, I wasn’t saying Joker was the most seemingly impossible of the newcomers. Banjo and K Rool are probably way above him. But he certainly didn’t seem possible before he came out.

I may be super late to this, but whateves. I just realized that every character struck with the ARMS phenomenon also has spirals in their eyes as a result of the mutation. That's why Mechanica's eyes are normal compared to everyone else, since she's a normal girl in a mech suit.

The lore doesn't call it a mutation. They actually don't remember how they get these ARMS but most of them wake up with them one day. But yeah, you're right on the spiral eyes though.

People actually noticed this right when the game was announced. I remember it was widely speculated that the characters were robots back then because of that.
