Problem with Pokemon to me is that it feels like it's not working enough to get people like myself to care about the world building anymore. I want more Pokemon games like Pokemon Ranger where it's a focus on other things in the Pokemon world.

And I've said this before but I want more slice of life takes on Pokemon.

I, myself, would want to see more of a Pokemon's natural habitat.

More of them being like curious and territorial creatures and less like typical, living "anime" cliches.

Well, doing both isn't going to make it impossible for you to catch the virus but they're definitely smart actions to take if you want to help prevent it from happening to you.

I will always love the subspace emmisary entirely for being an entirely silent yet coherent crossover story. That's pretty impressive.

Wish we could have gotten a cutscene heavy story mode again in ultimate. Especially now that they (if WoL's intro is any indecation) don't care much about keeping every character silent.

I think Bea's journey in the 2nd episode of Twilight wings perfectly encapsulates what i wanted the wild area to be :

The real thing feels so lifelessand bland in comparison, i know games have restrictions that a 6 minute anime short doesn't have but i still feel a little sad to see such a great concept go to waste simply because of the underwhelming execution. I just want Machamp to feed me snickers, is that too much to ask ?...

Nah, I didn’t know barely anything about Persona, but he didn’t seem like a possibility at all. There are just some video game characters who almost seem as likely as 4th parties because of how unlikely they are. Nobody saw Joker coming.

People picked up about the Menu UI being similar to Persona 5's before release, IIRC. Joker seems more a welcome surprise than someone who's been fighting the odds for years. People weren't going "Oh, finally, Joker, after 10 years!", they were going, "Oh, ****, Joker? Neat."

By your logic, you'd have to throw Terry in there too.
