For me it'll be more Animal Crossing and Wreckfest.
Debating about getting FFVII Remake as well.

Drawing pictures and being on Reddit, DeviantART or Amino.

Trying to get some of my progress back in Persona 4 (I want to get through the third dungeon as quickly as possible - I'm completing the social links for Nanako and Dojima much quicker this time around, so that's a plus), and I might pick up Doom Eternal or Ori and the Will of the Wisps for PC.

I was planning to wait for the Switch version, though I'll probably be willing to double dip for either game once/if they come out - I'd like to have a physical copy of Doom Eternal. I'll just have to double check if my computer can run Doom Eternal first.

EDIT: my graphics card is the lowest possible one that can still run Doom Eternal, so I should be able to play it.

I've been working on my voice over, video editing, and I've been trying to get into a bit of singing as well. It's hard.

Schoolwork, exercise, texting friends and memeing, clearing the video game backlog, reading a book, and drawing. It's been very active if not productive.

Now I'm totally undecided about the Final Fantasy VII Remake. I'm really wanting a new JRPG at the minute.

I've looked at the reviews and played the demo. 87 on Metacritic. Graphics, Combat and the hub sections are great but issues with writing and plot (Tetsuya Nomura game right here people).
Demo was pretty good.

I've completed the original twice and completing it and Chrono Trigger the first time within the same week has always been one of my most proud gaming achievements. I understand why the game is held in high regard.

Final Fantasy X and IX are my favourite games in the series along with XIII-2. I have a heavy attachment to X and is one of my favourite games of all time.

Feels like the Remake happened too late in a sense.
Persona and Xenoblade have taken the throne of being the better JRPG series and others like Fire Emblem and Tales have made even bigger jumps.

I want to get it but again so unsure. Never been this divided about getting a game day 1.

I don’t know. I read about it, and while I won’t spoil it here, it actually sounds like a really good and interesting storyline to go with. Am I disappointed by what it means for future parts? Definitely. Do I believe that they should have at least named it something else because of this? Definitely. Am I still excited to go on a semi-hack n slash adventure with cloud and his buds? Absolutely.

I think the incoherent plot was being done on purpose at one point. Especially with how self aware they were about it in 3. I think they were blowing it up on purpose.

I like your attitude on it Snake.

However for me it's that since FFXV I feel like FF needs to change direction. And it feels there are JRPG series that does better than Final Fantasy now.

While I think Nomura is a great character designer and creative producer, I don't think he's a great director looking at how messy Kingdom Hearts is. So in that aspect I agree with Gentlepanda here.

I tried Kingdom Hearts when I was younger. Honestly couldn't get into it.

Its series sounds like some fanfic and Sora alone looks like an person's OC.

Nomura is co-director technically and lead character designer. Who I have an issue with is Motomu Toriyama who directed the FFXIII trilogy and had a crazed obsession with the main character. He's co-directing along with Naoki Yamaguchi and Nomura.

That's my problem with this whole idolization of directors thing like what we do with Sakurai. So many people work on games, and so many people from all over have influence on the game's final outcome. So to place all the blame for everything in a game on one singular person is just foolish. They don't have 100% control over everything in the game, and they aren't making every aspect entirely by themselves.

Did Kazushige Nojima write and of the FFXIII games? Or anything else you have problems with? If not you should have nothing to fear. And you shouldn't say that this is messy when you've only seen an isolated clip of it at best with none of the context surrounding it.

While I can understand your perspective my point was mainly about three directors at once. Could be a bit messy. Should have made that point instead.

My point is mainly to do with how weary I am of Toriyama's side from his directing of FFXIII and his crazed obsession with Lightning was creepy hearing it in interviews.
I've very mixed views of the FFXIII Trilogy. I absolutely love for it's settings, music and art direction. I've pointed out that XIII-2 is one of my favourite games in the series because it was perfect in everything but story.

Nojima and his stuff is amazing. He wrote the Subspace Emissary which is a challenge. He didn't write XIII.

Sora is the first KH is just a young boy looking for his friends, doesn't sound very fanfic-y to me

His outfit is goofy, sure, but that's what happen when you mix FF & Disney design, and they kinda needed characters who were mix of those two to make the KH universe fit those two radically different series, art style wise atleast.

KH is literally Nomura's personal fanfiction. So yes, Sora is his OC.

The fact that this whole series exists at all is a miracle in itself considering it was conceived by chance in an elevator ride. lol

Nojima and his stuff is amazing. He wrote the Subspace Emissary which is a challenge. He didn't write XIII.

I will always love the subspace emmisary entirely for being an entirely silent yet coherent crossover story. That's pretty impressive.
