I'm kind of the opposite. I read manga online regularly. I just don't have the patience to watch anime a lot of the time, and I don't like having to wait to find out what happens next either. I find it a lot of fun to find series on translation sites that either won't/have yet to come overseas.
When I do buy physical I want to know that I'll re-read it again or for sentimental reasons. I literally have 3 versions of Pokemon Adventures Vol 1 on my shelf at home. Original Viz release (from when I was kid), Viz re-release, and a Japanese copy from my trip overseas.

Well, 510 is not evenly dividable by 4 so there will always be unused EVs. That's also why the EV limit for a stat nowadays is 252 and not 255 like it used to be in older generations. The rule is that 4EVs = 1 stat point at Lv. 100, so if you carelessly maxed out two stats back then you'd end with 255 + 255 = 510, but because the max amount of usable EVs is 252, that would mean 6 of them are wasted, so they reduced the max limit to 252 to prevent that In other words: 252 + 252 = 504. As you can see, 6 EVs are left over, but as I said, only increments by 4 count, that leaves 2 wasted EVs,
Tl;dr: 510 is the technical limit, but 508 is the actual one where it stops mattering, unless you want the EV ribbon.
Tl;dr 2: Your Pokemon is actually already maxed out.

I'm the exact opposite here
I hate the idea of having to read between the lines(literally) and anime just allows me to make sense of wtf is going on.
NGL, the main reason is because I skip pages in manga that have no words(just my style of reading) so 99% of the time I skip info that otherwise would allow me to make sense of manga plots.

I can see Samus,Dark Samus, and Hero to an extent, but K.Rool and Ridley? Thought those were the "everyone is just kinda cool with em" characters of Ultimate.

Sucks when your family smashes the hell out of your enjoyment of life over petty and selfish stuff and leave you as someone filled with anger.
I legit am tempted to ask one of my IRL friends to go live with them at least during Christmas because the current situation of my family is absurdibly too awful to stand anymore.
People who hate Inklings are as soulless as the dumbasses who claim Pauline can’t work in Smash even though she clearly can work and be unique with the Minis.

As someone who also has a messed up family with some stories that are unbelievably true, I feel you. Christmas will be quiet for me this year as I'm usually a continent away the past few. Day after I've got a crazy aunt visiting at the end of next week which I hate so I've asked one of my friends to get my butt out of the house.
Then in a few months my yearly migration to England for a few.

I also learned from the manga that one of my characters is doing a little something something.
Erureido tagging you too since you're the biggest AOT fan I know. I just heard about the latest manga chapter...
Annie being freed from the crystal is HYPE. She's one of my favorite characters from the show and is one of those sympathetic villain/even evil has standards characters. I'm hoping for some kind of redemption out of her, but we'll see.
Annie finally getting out out of the crystal was definitely the best moment from the last chapter, and I absolutely loved how it unfolded! Eren activating the Founding Titan powers to undo the hardenings of the Wall Titans also broke off Reiner's entire Armor Titan armor at the same time, referencing how all Titan hardening was undone when Eren unlocked those powers again. In turn, that meant the crystal that Annie encased herself in would also finally be broken at that exact moment. Very clever!
It's even worth mentioning her father reappears at the beginning of that same chapter, so in a way, the beginning of the chapter foretold the big reveal that would happen by the end of it.
With Annie finally out of the crystal, I'm sure Isayama has something planned for her as the end of the series draws near. It'd be cool to have her learn about what's currently going on and eventually run into Reiner. I'm especially looking forward to seeing her reaction when she learns about what happened to Bertolt and Armin becoming the new Colossal Titan! I'm sure that will give her quite a shock!

I think one of the ironic parts about Christmas is that while it does bring families together, it can also cause a lot of stress when certain family members don't get along. Combine that with the "hassals" of Christmas shopping, decorating, cooking and traveling and it can cause a lot if stress for the people who don't really care for it. I think that's why my dad always seemed grumpy around this time of year.
That's why now that I'm an adult I try to take a laidback approach to the holiday. I'm not going to crazy with gifts or anything, I'm just going to use it as an excuse hang out with my sisters.It really helps that my parents can't come over for work related reasons.

I do like Christmas, but it hasn't been the same since my Nana died. She was great. She used to play so much Zelda that her birds would sing the main theme from memory.

Just so you know, my situation has more to due with my family's accustomed loyalness towards Christianity & certain aspects of them personality-wise. They definitely are nice people, which is something I can't exactly say for your family from what you've said.
