I think they determine stat growths and you can look up what stats get affected. I personally didn't mess around much with the personality system in DQ 3, which goes to show its unimportance.

So after watching watching the Bravely Default 2 trailer a few more times and doing a small revisit of the first game, I restarted Octopath Traveler. My God do I feel more appreciative of the game. Better when I started with a different character this time round.
A really good RPG.

Late but yeah, they effect level up growth rates. You don't really need to worry about them for your first run, but if you want to go the optimized route they're a thing. This is one of the (relatively few) things that the DQ wiki has a pretty nice page on if you want to study further.

Hopefully, if they do make a third season, they add Roshi and one of the female Universe 6 Saiyans (Caulifla, Kale, or Kefla). Never really cared for Cabba; he seems like a lesser version of Tarble.

Probably in the minority with this opinion but some other z villains I think might be cool would be Dabura, Zarbon, or Dr Gero. They could do something with Dabura's stone spit, Zarbon's transformation or Gero's energy absorb thing that could make them unique.

I don't know how you would name it. But when thor picks up/activates the hammer his costume appears. So Steve's costume should have changed when he picked it up.

Can't wait for Super Saiyan God Goku, Ultra Instinct Goku, and SSJ4 Goku to join the roster.

Maybe they could throw in SSJ4 Gogeta while they're at it, too.

I tried setting up smash on my tv to play online, but the tv fell off the wall and broke some of my statues. I tried to put it back up but it just fell again and smashed a copy of final fantasy into pieces. Safe to say I will not be using that tv today.

Omega Shenron or Uub would probably make people happy enough. But I think most people are looking forward to Roshi or Kefla(or one of her separate versions) eventually happening instead.

Dunno about Pan or Super 17. For DBZ, there's still Dabura. And movie villains have quite a few options with Bojack, Lord Slug, and Android 13.

There's left over character slots for 4 more characters, so we'll see if that leads to anything or not.
