There are only three big questions for Smash speculation right now, and they are:

1) Do we get a character reveal before Banjo is released, which would likely take place in the September Direct?

2) Who comes after Banjo?

3) How bloodthirsty does the Smash fan base get once pick #4 is out of the way and only one pick remains?

There's a chance of another being shown off, now that Hero's released. Though if it'll happen before Banjo is released I dunno. Depends on how soon Banjo's out the gate.

It could be anyone, but I'm saying it should be Jin Kazama or Mega Man X.

People will start getting real mad at each other, but much less so since K.Rool, Ridley and all the Smash 4 and cut characters are back. So same as always.

1000 hours of Batman movies. So if you include all 8 or 9 live action movies, Lego Batman, Mask of the Phantasm, Batman vs Dracula and all those other animated Movies, 1000 hours ain't that much of a stretch.

And unless specified otherwise, the fighter’s pass is it. No more characters for Ultimate. And the next game won’t be for another decade on the Switch U. If your character isn’t in the fighter’s pass, you’re done. For a long time.

THE Lego Batman Movie was an absolute delight to watch. Not only does it respectfully deconstruct the recent edginess of the franchise as of late, it's also got a fantastic "Family makes everything better" theme while still showing of ol' Bats as a full-on cool dude. Besides, you've got scenes like this to laugh your hiney off to.

I don't think we're getting a bonus character, but I'd be down with this roster, especially with Crash. But likely we'll have only 2 fighters left, unless a second season is announced, and if that's the case I'd replace Doom with Geno. Would be perfect for me.

Speaking of Batman movies, I bought the Batman vs TMNT movie last week and really enjoyed watching it. The DC animated movies are usually pretty good and having two of my absolute favourite comic book series cross over just made this one extra special.

Its got Doom Slayer and Crash. They're literally icing on cake.

And Geno would be an welcoming addition.

Mostly agreed. I'd personally replace Crash with Geno if we couldn't get a bonus character and even then I would like for Geno to be an FP character so he comes with more music and content but A) Knowing Square and B) The end all be all is Geno getting into Smash as playable regardless of the amount of extra content so it doesn't really matter. I'm just a bit selfish I guess.

I'd like the roster as that picture shows it no matter the exact order or specifics.

It has Crash on it so I'm all in. (I mean, I'm already all in, I bought the damn thing when Joker was announced, but still!)

If Geno gets in pass or not, I doubt he wouldn’t get music. At the very least we get beware the forests mushroom.

Most likely we get two like every other square character and get beware and fight against an armed boss.

Unlike every other square property though, I don’t think anyone but square or even Nintendo own the rights to the games music. Which if true then I think Geno could come with more content then we’d expect if he got in.

While I generally think we'll be getting only one new character per company, I see Geno and Sora as possible exceptions. Geno, because he's a character in a Mario series--it doesn't make a difference legally, but I think Square likely wouldn't be a big problem because it's not a huge character from a currently running tent-pole franchise that they're really invested in and they'd (probably) be less demanding.

Sora, because he's owned by Disney, and so while Nintendo would be working with Square, there's that wiggle room that they'd still be working with a different company primarily. And unlike most people, I see no reason to suspect Disney would be difficult to work with, Nintendo and Disney have had business relationships and being in a Nintendo game is different than someone putting Mickey Mouse on a birthday cake.

So both exist within a grey area where I can see them being more possible than other characters from franchises already owned by companies in Ultimate/Fighter's Pass.

As an astrophysics geek, watching a presentation by one of my favorite science authors (Sean Carroll) reference this when explaining quantum field theory gave me a spit take.

Anyway, I gotta say that was a really anti-climatic ending.

I don't know if it affects anything but I took the Golden Deer route.

Only two fights with the true villains near the end and it's over. One that takes place in an underground city which they didn't really explore much and then Nemisis just kind of pops up in the end with very little build up and no foreshadow to suggest he was alive before then. And even on Hard/Classic the battle wasn't really difficult aside from Nemisis himself having bloated stats.

I also expected some sort of gigantic beast or dragon to be the final boss. Maybe even have the Sword of the Creator transform Nemisis the same way the Lance of Ruin did to that guy in the first half. Monsters in that game seemed to have been practically designed to be boss fights so it's really weird they didn't go with that.

What a disappointing way to end to such a fun game.
