completely forgot you posted this.

i don't have any trouble remembering what happened the night before. i think you've been gravely misinformed about alcohol and its effect on the body. did you know if you eat a lot of starch before drinking you won't feel the effects as much? you can technically have a burger and fries, and a couple beers and still be fine to drive due to how the chemicals mix. really, education these days....

on another note, i think i might have symptoms of swine flu... but, i'm not willing to say that i'm 100% sure on that yet. i'll check how i feel tomorrow. if i do have the flu then i will most likely be on a lot more as i won't be going to any of my classes.
Meh, i'm not the arguing type, so i'm going to stop.
Dang,swine flew >.>
I went through Park City when swine flew was at it's peak of deaths and Park City had the highest number of accounted people that was positive for swine flew. ha.

My professor today said if we get sick, to not attend class. the college will be lenient with the attendance policy... I think I might be getting sick a few times this up and coming month + next xD

anyways. get better man <3

11 pm here, not tired enough to sleep,

Il count chaingrabs until i can sleep again.
... us IC mains are weird i must say.
and actually... it's 11 here. so you sir are lying ;)

to share my recent experience. I was talking to her girl i like, her name is Anna, you might know what's coming now xD. I was talking to her and i called her Nana a few times >. > she understands and we just laugh about it. haha

I don't sleep until 3-4 AM.
Stop drinking :p perverted thoughts keep you up at night. haha. Jk <3

It's me again! Anyway, I've been playing brawl (ive never played the first smash bros or melee) for about 2 months and since I've been swapping mains so I haven't really excelled in the game. Anyway, on my first time using ICs (as in first day, so I practiced a few grabs) and I fought a lvl 9 ganondorf (I don't have wifi). Unfortunately I lost, with ganon on his last stock and 100%. Should I be worried?

I know.

I was referring to CPUs learning over time from human matches.

beast human ganon -> cpu ganon learns -> beast cpu ganon -> cpu ganon beasting

In retrospect probably not the best of jokes.

CPUs dont learn, they did try with a brand new wii and one whicb bad tons of play on one computer, results were similar when they made em battle.

They do learn. Just have a few Falcon 4-ways with your friends where all you do is Falcon Punch. Every second move your CPU will do after that is Falcon Punch. (I've actually done this, lol.)

Just comparing a fresh Wii to a played Wii isn't conclusive at all.

Uhm... The level of technology a computer must be at in order to recognize patterns and apply them has to be quite high. Possible, but a bit to high for junk like the wii.

I'm not saying you're lying. I'm just saying if what you say is true, then it is probably a program that tells it to copy your most used move.

Having said that, the peach cpu's have never initiated a dair combo(or approached with dair), auto-canceled, or spammed turnips at me, even though I used to play a ton of Peach cpus(before I knew they were hurting my gameplay :urg:).

I strongly doubt that cpu's learn. If anything, there is some program to copy your most used move or something... but I doubt that too.:bee:

lolwat, of course it's a program, Brawl is the program. By CPU I am talking about computer opponents in Brawl (they're actually called CPUs ingame), not the CPU hardware of the Wii. How was this not obvious? >.>

They don't learn complicated stuff like combos, they're still stupid, they just (try to) copy what you do in situations (which from what I can tell are limited in definition, i.e. "really far away" or "trying to hit me" or "close to me, being hit"). An Ice Climbers CPU won't desync except by accident, but they'll still spam ice blocks in the hope of copying your desynched ice shot. I suppose "learning" is a bad word for it since they also copy bad habits, but it gets the point across. I.E. they don't pick up on intention, just actions.

Seriously, I thought this was common knowledge, there was even a thread on this board awhile ago. It's not a matter of belief or doubt, it is easily proven with simple tests (such as the Falcon thing; try it).

chok, I can't tell if you're being sarcastic or asking a serious question. :<

teaching the babies....
cging on bad stages was the way i got better at them. Theres certain safe spots to stay on at RC thatll give u an advantage. On the boat u wanna be on the top right because everyone camps there and u can ice block *** whoever whoevers on the left side or middle. When its going up u wanna go on the right side again because the left side=shuttleloop quick deaths. ummm and yea 2/3 parts of the stage are winnable by ic.

=( *owned*

I know that... haha. I only didn't know that the program tries to copy you.

Er, kind of what I was saying. I just thought you really didn't know that they couldn't learn(there are people >.>). Sorry about that

You know, i have yet to see any proof except for that one single falcon punch video. All hte other stuff he posted can be explained in various other ways. Notice also that he only showed a part of the whole match. Maybe it was only within a set % that falcons program was designed to falcon punch.

Remember how in melee computers used to wavedash sometimes? It has nothing to do with learning, they just have some random patterns integrated in them followed by some spacing ones, which together can sometimes give weird situations where they look like they learned something.

I am not completely convinced of this. If they do learn, people tend to overestimate how much stuff is learned and how much is pure coincidence.

EDIT: Brinstar is bad for both of your mains aint it?

In brawl? Really? I thought she lacked the kill moves to use it to the extent so many other chars do >.>
Technically, that could be said for ALL stages.

However she can do a lot of neat tricks with it, including sharking. Also opening up the umbrella doesn't spell much of a disaster since you can wait for the (acid?) to come up. Due to the float mechanic all the stage things can be used to her advantage as well. The pillars keep her f-air fresh by jabbing it etc. Also, the stage screams "turnip spam please".

It's not a godsend, but she can do trixies on it.

I believe that every IC in the WORLD SHOULD KNOW THIS (sarcasm). I finally beat a lvl 9, one on one with Ice Climbers!!! This is also only the second day I've been using them as a main! I even 3 stocked him (captain falcon) with 159% left O.o Unfortunately it wasn't under 3 minutes so I could record it >.<
