No, lain beat him in crews, fino beat him in a tournament a few weeks ago with ics, and roller beat him one match in pools.

EDIT: Hylian, next time we're at the same tourney (probs apex) can we get a few dittos in? I learn so much about it from playing against Lain, and I'm sure you have your own tricks of the trade I could learn from. =]

I'm just like lux. Only I'm bad at the game.
I'm best in mindset against diddy. I just have issue staying focused and CGing him.
I'm also good against bowser.
If that bowser isn't disqo_bunny and I'm not super rusty.

Play slow, dash attack is awesome. Grabbing is simple. Dash attack is grabbable (****ing learn it). Bananas aren't that big of a deal. ICs control the ground amazingly well and that is the one thing diddy has that makes him a good character. If you make him scared on the ground you win. Diddy's forward B is Pivot Grabbable, shield obvious falling fairs and ****. Nana dying isn't honestly that big of a deal since you can still do a lot to Diddy with just popo.

...Wait. Diddys actually Forward B and dash attack into you? ROFL, the one I play with learned not to do those things within an hour. I'll use more dash attack, but I already get the grabs on the opportunities you mention, however a diddy that does those things without first tripping one of you with a banana is silly.

I was about to say most of that until I scrolled down.
But yeah, stage control with bananas and desync IBs. It also helps to let Nana hold on to a banana while you're IBing. So once he does approach, you just trip him and get the grab.
Diddy usually goes for Monkey Flips at mid range when you're not keeping a wall up. FYI.

I felt like you worked too much off of IB and just chased them at long range in your set against LC. Ideally I try to keep IB traps within a dash length + dash grab length. That means Blizzard Walling to control the stage instead of letting the pikmin do free damage to you and THEN IB chasing when he's option limited. Also, use better desync options. Even SND to Blizzard is better than the SND to IB you were running, but any Nana setup desync would have been less predictable than the Pivoted IB > Nana IB > Chase because it would have eliminated the first step.
As for the whole dropping grabs, I THINK I have overcome that during my last two tournaments. I've dropped maybe 6 over two tournaments and it took understanding the spacing better on certain CGs to get there imo.
This..isn't true at all.
You cannot pivot grab monkey flip it goes over your grab range(not to mention it will usually just hit you if you try) and they can jump out of it before getting into your grab range. It's only the diddys that don't jump out that you grab.
There are a lot of good set-ups diddy can use monkey flip for.

..Yes if they don't jump. Otherwise it goes above your grab range.

No, because why would they just randomly monkey flip into you? Generally good diddys monkey flip after they trip with banana, or follow an instant throw. They can land on a platform faster than you can get to them even if they did just jump. You guys go try to pivot grab ADHD and GNES when they monkey flip and come back to me. I have a ****ton of diddy experience, and so does smoom. I'm not really sure what diddys you guys are playing but they are monkey flipping wrong lol.
