I stay in my house all day because I am scared of the world outside. Tamoo has scarred me for life.

I'm not sure where else to post this, so here goes:

Utto, Exalador, Ivo and me are interested in coming to this, but we really want to do some sightseeing in London. So far we've not been able to arrange housing there and that really needs to be sorted out before we can finish our arrangements. If we can't see London I at least am probably not going to be there anymore. =/

Marc- what dates and i will arrange it for you. Londoners dont really check this part of the board and generally are quite painful to deal with in terms of housing.I know that I should be able to sort it for you though.

To be clear, I already contacted Charles about housing, but his options are limited and we don't want to be a burden. We're hoping to find something that would allow us to see London for at least two days and as far as I know it doesn't matter if it's before or after the tournament.

Okay, i will see what I can do. I know that so far I am need to find accomodation for the german 4 after the tournament (though they can be housed at mine in birmingham thursday night then make their way to london for the weekend friday) and housing for a few nights for you dutchies before or after the tournament in london for sightseeing purpouses.

I know that we have charles, jely, jolteon and tamoo that have offered some form of housing. Need to find out when Charles is housing the Swedes. Jely said he would house good players lol so shall find out when and how many he can. Tamoo and Alex I know you guys read here so how many could you have? for a couple of nights after the tournament? I know your not right in london but your close enough imo for sight seeing purposes.

I would like to remind people though that this tournament is hosted in Birmingham and not London therefore there shouldn't be expected that housing should be available in London itself for this tournament. I have offered housing for free and without hassle at mine in Birmingham for before the tournament and after. Saying as that at any large European tournament getting house before and after the tournament is a difficulty (ESA4, Berlin Calling etc) where the tournament IS then I am already being highly accomodating.

For those that fly into the London airports the night before/after the tournament it is going to have to be a case of dealing with getting/leaving mine when you can and spending time at the airport. I am aware that a lot of us have done this before for major tournaments as it isn't easy to house anyone when they fly into an airport at 11.30pm at night when the tournament is the next day. I just ask you to be understanding in that there will have to be a bit of patience and then you can relax when you get to the venue. It is open from 9pm on the Tuesday and if you have paid for a bed you can use it straight away. Remember, tuesday is only international crews in the late evening.

Lastly, I hope no one is taken what I have said to be rude or unhelpful. However, just be aware that I am not from London myself and that it is a bit of an ask for housing in London when coming to this tournament saying as thats like my asking for housing in Brussels when the tournament is in Amsterdam ;)

I'm afraid to say that i'm away from home until september working, I can only really house in london for london tournaments, I don't know if I can afford going back to london and extra days off work just to house ppl im afraid. If there are people reaaaallly stretched for housing, they are more than welcome to come to mine, where I can house probably 3ish, but they'd have to come a forty minute journey out of london to oxford.

so yeah, i'm happy to house, but the people being housed won't be in the best location for london sight seeing, and i'd really have to trust them because if they need to stay any further than 8am on the friday, i'd have to leave them at the house whilst i go off to work

Kone: We are aware of what we asking and it's okay if it can't be helped. We could even consider a cheap hostel if you know one. It's just that sightseeing in London is a major reason to go. Another bummer is that we probably have to rent a car, but that's doable financially.

Marc I understand. I was just making people aware as I don't want the amount of people asking for London housing to go overboard. Ill post on the London thread and see who else will be available to house.

Tamoo - 40 minutes isnt that bad imo will see what other options are available though. Thanks for your response.

Ill look into cheap hostels aswell.

Rechecking my financial situation to go to this. Sorry about not booking yet but the moment I wanted to book I got some extra expenses which forced me to hold off.
Still intend going to this but I need to make sure I have enough for my rent around that month. Spend a bit more at esa then I expected.

Ryuker - no problem I understand. I would love to see a large dutch turnout at this (especially since Ive know alot of you for quite sometime now :)). So let me know if there is anything I can do to help. Do you know anyone that drives? I think if you got four/five of you in a car itll be very cheap for you.

Italians/Dax- who and how many of you are booked? I cant register on your forums for some reason =s. Is anyone else likely to book? (aldwin?). Also, did we get your issue resolved with the coach?

Marc and co - Im going to talk to Jolteon about the housing issue. I am thinking that the tournament is going to finish by 7pm on Thursday. Maybe you should come back to mine on thursday night and the leave very early morning for london. Check out london and then go to Jolteons or Tamoos for one night and then you could check out london again the next day? even if I couldnt get you housing you could try www.hostelworld.com and see if you can find anything that is do-able price wise.

I think one full day in London will get you around the major sightseeing places though and dont forget theres things to do around birmingham aswell!

Yo, we are 8, gonna register soon, some wants beds so they'll move =).
Dunno what problem you are having on our forum, you can select English language I think from somewhere down at the end.
On a side note, you appear to be registered from 2004 lol, maybe u changed pass?
Aldwyn's not coming, no matter how hard we tried :embarrass. He's half-retired at the moment. The issue with the coach is almost solved, yes, since anyway it seems that taxis can help us. We just wanted to know when usually does Birmingham's public transport start (like 4 am, 5 am? )
Thanks ;)

I am thinking for international crews of doing 7 v 7. What do people think? that would mean denmark, the uk and italy are already to compete.

Also, just to make those aware that are staying at mine I do have pets. Three cats and two dogs. The dogs are small though (papillon/cavalir king charles spaniel) and are both very well behaved. Just incase you have allergies and need to bring medicine etc

I don't actually check this thread too often, just occasionally. If you want to contact me you know the best way. ;)

I'd have to ask my Mum, my guess is I'll be able to house 4~ for 1-2 nights. Travel from my house to other parts of London costs 7.50 for an Adult day travelcard, so they'll need to prepare for that financially (unless they are driving).

Kone, just a heads up, a train from London to my house costs 15 with a young persons which is really gay considering it's not that far out. Also from there ppl would need to share a taxi to get to my house which combined comes to about 13 so it's pretty costly travelling to mine. You'd have to find ppl either pretty liberal with money or ppl that are driving.

My advantage however is that I can house pretty much whenever, either or both of the weekends before the tournament should that be necessary for some ppl.

I think if people are coming to sightsee they should be prepared /would expect to pay that cost Tam :). Afterall, their planning to do something 'extra' on top of the tournament itself. How many could you house btw?
