My Mama & Tuxie Final Smash and FazDude's Waluigi Final Smash both win by default

Mini Mushroom and Poison Mini Mushroom

I try not to do double subs for non-double jobs but I feel this one is necessary: The Mini Mushroom shrinks its user down to the size of a poison mushroom - however, it has some differences from a poison mushroom:
  1. Power is buffed
  2. Speed is increased
  3. Attack speed is increased
  4. Jump height is increased
  5. Falling speed is decreased
  6. Air speed is increased
Though weight still decreases.

Poison Mini Mushrooms, on the other hand make you the size of a Super Mushroomed character - however you're nothing more than a target because...
  1. Power is the same as regular
  2. Speed is decreased
  3. Attack speed is decreased
  4. Jump height is decreased
  5. Air speed is decreased
  6. Falling speed is increased
Weight still increases though

Players infected by poison mushrooms, both normal and mini, now have a purple glow to distinguish from a buff

Just for reference, double subs are allowed in certain "package deal" circumstances and are considered a single sub in voting. They aren't allowed for stages or fighters though.


I love the idea, but it unfortunately doesn't count since it'd be used to directly attack rather than buffing stats. Keep the idea around for a weapon job though!

Waluigi FS: Bob-Ombs Away!
Waluigi leaps off the stage and… into the HUD? Now in a position similar to Snake’s FS from Brawl, he can now lob Bob-Ombs at opponents from a distance, allowing chaos to reign on the stage. After some time (or after 10 Bob-Ombs are thrown), Waluigi leaps back to the stage.

Better Item: Mega Mushroom

This item acts just like the Super Mushroom, but its effects make the user massive; Think Giant Smash plus the regular Super Mushroom. This means that all of its side effects are amplified.

I’ll do boxing ring titles once I get on PC.

Usually stage jobs are saved for Mondays and Fridays, but given just how different from the core Mario canon this movie is aesthetically I think we should get a stage for it ASAP (plus that way it doesn't interfere with the stage schedule I already have planned). President Koopa Moveset
President Koopa controls Dinohattan, so I decided to translate this into a moveset designed around stage control.
  • Neutral Special: Fireball Gun
    • Don't get too excited, this isn't a projectile weapon. President Koopa uses the Fireball Gun as a flamethrower similar to that of Bowser's Neutral Special. The flames deal multiple hits of damage and die out sooner than Bowser's flames, but to compensate, they cover more ground and have a quicker recharge time.
  • Side Special: Goomba
    • One of President Koopa's lackeys appears and begins walking forward. Should they come in contact with an opponent, they will throw them behind them, and potentially towards the President himself. However, Goombas still resemble their namesake in the sense that they will walk off ledges.
  • Up Special: Thwomp Stomp
    • President Koopa leaps into the air with the Thwomp Stompers before crashing back down to the ground. Think of it like King Dedede's Up Special.
  • Down Special: Bob-Omb
    • President Koopa places a Bob-Omb down (although its appearance differs greatly from the Bob-Omb item). While it behaves in the same manner as a regular Bob-Omb, its explosion is a bit weaker for balance reasons.

Here's my moveset, not that many references but I am pretty pleased with it. Hope to get the Devo Gun as a Final Smash.
Koopa is a stance fighter - both forms are equally as heavy, but his evolved (human) form has great range but poor speed thanks to his flamethrower, and his devolved (T-Rex) form has poor range but great speed

Evolved:
Neutral B: Flamethrower
Koopa shoots from his flamethrower, this basically functions like his canon counterpart's neutral B, but in a straight line instead of downwards

Up B: Flame Stompers
Koopa jumps up with flame-powered Thwomp Stompers - this creates a small spiking explosion when he jumps, and a very powerful, long-reaching explosion when he lands.

Side B: Meteor Bomb
Koopa throws an exploding rock in an arc, the rock becomes more powerful the more it flies, it explodes upon hit with the explosion's size being determined by the power. You'll want to use this like a grenade in free-for-alls

Down B: Devolution
Koopa melts into primordial ooze and reforms into his dinosaur form, this draws foes close to him.

Devolved:
Neutral B: Digging Chew
As a T-Rex, Koopa chews on the opponent. A three phase command grab a bit like Patrick's neutral B in NASB. First hit can send foes forward if the button is released, second can send foes backwards, third can send foes upwards

Up B: Pterolutuon
Koopa grows pterodactyl wings, this is basically Ridley's Up B

Side B: Stubby Swipe
The only arm move in devolved Koopa's kit. Koopa swipes forwards - this is a bit Rest/Nigel flick-esque with one major difference: it deals way more damage, but next to no knockback, instead making foes faint and allowing you to choose a follow up

Down B: Evolution
Koopa melts into primordial ooze and reforms into his evolved form, this draws foes away from him

Stage: Dinohattan Police Chase

This is a bit like Traffic Jam in NASB combined with Mute City SNES - you fight atop a police car, with other police cars appearing from time to time as well as an occasional civilian car. The police cars will actively bump into each other and be damaged, changing the terrain - a police car will likely be bumped away or just leave on its own, but there's also a chance that the police car will be damaged enough to explode. Civilian cars are rare, but are also a safe spot since the other cars don't interferre with them.

This stage would be up in the thorny trees of the Painted Swampland, with hard platforms being branches and the soft platforms being leaves (from branches in the background in the case of the floating platforms). There are no pipes on this stage, interactable or otherwise. Some branches have tiny patches of swamp water on them, but said water has no effect on gameplay.

Item: Snowball

One of the most powerful items in the game - a projectile that depletes upon usage; is super small; and melts quickly upon spawn, get to it quick and use it quick! It has eyes, of course.

Piranha Plant Taunts
  • Up: Piranha Plant mimics its "rising" animation from the 2D platformers, complete with the sound effect.
  • Left: Piranha Plant spews some harmless fire out of its mouth.
  • Right: Piranha Plant repeatedly bites.
  • Down: Pirahna Plant spins around and grins.

This is a healing item that produces a coconut that you can throw at opponents that freezes

This item debuted in NSMB and it was opposite of fire flower, which it froze opponents instead of burning them.

In the game, it would act same like fire flower, but instead it shoots out ice balls that freeze an opponent for 2 seconds.

Special move change: Angel Bomber (Peach)

The final stop in my quest to erradicate all ass-related attacks from Peach - Peach glides forwards with P-Wings growing on her back, with her dress puffing up briefly as the move starts, and does a powerful slap attack. Functions the same as Peach Bomber otherwise. Pink Gold Peach punches instead of a slap.

Yoshi contact: Salvo the Slime

Catches foes inside him, then flings them away, immobilsed by his slime when they land, but making himself smaller.

Townfolk: New Donker

They'll follow foes and try to strike up friendly conversation, if you hit them they'll hit you back, which may not sound like a problem, but when they're constantly running in front of you and trying to say hello it can be a pain. If you taunt to them they'll respond and you can even get a small little conversation going.

I want Pianta and Steam Gardener playable at some point

Wario Special Change: Wario Bomb over Wario Waft

Wario pulls out this iconic bomb, with a second’s delay before it explodes. Despite the increased start lag, it is just as powerful as the Wario Waft, and has the same “more time between uses equals greater power” property.

  2. Up: Jr spins a paintbrush (wand for Koopalings), creating a pattern of paint (colourful shapes for Koopalings)

Submit a gross-out move for Wario!

It would be an injustice to have Wario without capturing his slobby style, so please submit a gross-out move for Wario! This cannot be a special move or Final Smash. Since Wario's Down Air is already changed, you can't replace it - though you can modify it. This will, obviously, not apply to Penny. Unless we get a high amount of submissions, only one will be added - if the number of submissions is more than 5, 2 will be added.

Submit an item can counter Final Smashes and/or Ally Contacts!

Please submit an item that would spawn when Smash Stars and/or Ally Contacts do and, in some way for form, can be used against or steal them.

Wario thrusts his rear behind him with a small cloud of… err, gas coming out of it.

Ally Counter: Floro Sprouts (Super Paper Mario)
These small seeds act like Deku Nuts when thrown at an opponent, putting them in a dizzy state. However, when thrown at an enemy Ally Contact, they will be brainwashed and become your ally instead!

Submit a main character!

Our roster of newcomers leans heavily into the obscure and cult favourites, so I think we need something a little safer for our next newcomer - please submit a recurring, main character from either the Mario platformers and/or sports spin-offs! Although they have cameos on returning stages, Nabbit; Pauline; and Kamek are elegible.

Note that Lakitu & Spinies; Boom Boom; Hammer Bros; Whomp; King Boo; and Pom Pom are disconfirmed. Your submissions will need to have a major prescence - something like say, a Pianta; a non-Birdo Mario 2 character; or Reznor, probably wouldn't be elegible. You can submit a seperated Koopaling if you want. This won't be a clone. Wario; DK; and Yoshi characters are only elegible if shared with main Mario games (like Shy Guy for example)

Submit a Super Mario Sunshine stage!

Please submit a stage based on Super Mario Sunshine

Submit a Final Smash for Timber and/or Undodog & Yamamura!

My stage submission will be Delfino's Secret from Project M

Birdo

This glamorous chick (literally - you know what dinosaurs evolved into, right?) has been getting the short end of the stick lately, so I think we should do her justice in SMSB! Her main mechanic would likely be shooting egg projectiles which she can stand on. Since there's posibility of adding another Mario 2 rep later down the line, we can give her a moveset that is 100% Birdo and save other Mario 2 references for a later fighter.

For Sunshine I'll resubmit Pinna Park. It takes place on the rollercoaster as it goes around the park, but there aren't any hazards apart from falling off, layout doesn't change as opposed to Delfino Plaza.


For our main character fighter, I'll submit Chargin' Chuck. American Football is pretty cool and since Mario Smash doesn't have a lot of gimmick-y characters, I think he could have something fun with a gimmick where he tries to bring his opponent into the end zone, or he could only have a certain amount of Side B's (like the four downs in American Football) a la Banjo-Kazooie (but done well this time).


Undodog & Yamamura Final Smash: Maker Mania
Undodog runs forward while Yamamura flies straight up. Anyone that either hits along the way is thrown into a cinematic where there is a Mario castle level that constantly changes between SMB, SMB3, SMW, and NSMBU themes, all surrounded by the Mario Maker creation UI. The fighters hit are thrown into a large pit consisting of as many dangerous enemies that could fit there, as if it was designed by a young person. Yamamura looks worried and tries to make the level more thoughtfully designed by pressing on the buttons at the top for blocks and switches, while Undodog continues to run around on the enemy buttons. Eventually he makes two giant Bowsers stack ontop of each other in the SMB3 style, which is Yamamura's breaking point. He flies over to Undodog and picks him up, and the level is erased as the pair fly across it.

Main Character: Kamek

Kamek’s been around since the very beginning (of the Mario game timeline, that is, not the series), and having a magic-focused fighter could be really fun.

Undodog Final Smash: Course Maker
Undodog and Yamamura hop into a Reset Rocket fly forwards, trapping any hit opponent in a cinematic. The cinematic depicts the opponents in a Super Mario Maker course, where Undodog and Yamamura (represented by the dog hand from SMM1) create a gauntlet of enemies and traps to brutally damage the opponent before ending the cinematic with the classic “invisible blocks over a pit” trick.

(i just want nintendo to acknowledge little timmy levels tbh)

This is an excellent submission, but unfortunately I am not willing to consider Chargin' Chuck a "main character" given that he barely if at all appeared between World and 3D World, and his sports game appearances since then have been extremely infrequent.

Ah. He was listed on the Mario characters Wikipedia so I thought it would be okay. May or may not replace him (my other idea was Wart but visually he's a bit too similar to K. Rool I think)

Wart also wouldn't be elegible because he was only in Mario 2. This job is exclusively for safe characters who appear frequently and wouldn't be surprising.
