Job #29: Submit a Bonus Game
We decided on a classic mode but as of now we don’t have a bonus game so this job will add one. Please submit the name of the bonus game and how it would work. You are allowed to submit original ideas or bonus games already in older smash games.

Duck Hunt

Duck Hunt is a lot like Mr. Game & Watch's version of Melee Target Test - you can select any of the multiplayer stages and have to take down the ducks that are swarming around. You can select the amount of ducks as well as whether to play hazards-on or hazards off, with stages that have notable differences having seperate leaderboards for the two versions. The dog will appear holding two ducks every 10 KOs, and will laugh upon failure

I think Duck Hunt deserves rep, but I'm not sure about making the duo playable in a crossover that is not Nintendo-focused

Personally I feel like we should have Mario, Luigi, DK and Wario for the mario series although it’s not a guarantee that we’ll have those characters specifically.
As much as I like Wario (and if he were in, I'd like a moveset more based on his actual fighting abilities), I think Peach, Bowser, and possibly Yoshi are more prominently known. Then again, Wario does represent his own game series, like DK does. And we don't want to overload on one single game series in general. If I were picking just one more, it'd probably be Donkey Kong, but then again, this can all come later.

As for my bonus game...
Ken-sf2-bonusstage-car.jpg

Car Smash
It's the classic Street Fighter II bonus stage. You're given a certain amount of time to just bash a car into pieces. There's not much area to go, but you can jump over the car and bash it on the side, or use certain downward-descending moves to destroy part of it from the top, as well.

Since we have 39 more unique fighters, I’m expecting two or three more characters from Mario/side series. If I chose, I’d pick DK (the arcade game and DKC series were highly influential), Yoshi (a major mainline character with his own side series), and Bowser (one of the most recognizable antagonists in gaming) in that order, but I understand if we decide on Peach (the poster child for damsel in distress and one of the most recognizable females in gaming) and Wario (a Mario spinoff regular that got 2 side series) instead.

Alright we’ll the results are pretty much unanimous. Everyone except for one person voted for both Duck Hunt and Car Smash so those are the bonus games we’re going to add. Now onto the next job which is a character submission:

Job #30: Submit an RPG rep
We don’t have many RPG reps besides Pikachu so this job will be for adding a character for this genre. You can submit any character just as long as they debuted in any RPG, no matter what genre of RPG it is. (Including a second rep for Pokémon if you want) Please explain your character, give a brief explanation of how they would fight, and why they should be in this game.

Also, starting from after this job, every fifth job will be a character submission, so our next one will be Job #35.

I alluded to submitting his guy earlier, so here he is for this convenient submission round

Sephiroth (Final Fantasy 7). Yes, before Cloud.
I'd argue the one-winged angel is iconic enough and has enough history to Smash without his respective protagonist.

also if someone submits a mother rep i'm absolutely gonna vote for them.

Also, tiny nitpick about the Classic mode: maybe Car Smash should be placed earlier and Duck Hunt later? Saying this since DH is the more tricky/challenging one whereas Car Smash is more just a breather stage.

That’s a good point, I’ll make that change now

I’ll resubmit Tidus

1624160444270.png

Tidus from Final Fantasy X. We don’t have an FF character yet, and while FFVII is more popular/recognized, FFX did sell well (>8 million copies.
He’d use his sword and then blitzballs as projectiles.

Job #30
Vault Boy (Fallout)

fallout-vault-boy.png

Thinking outside of the box here. I'm not an expert on this series, but a lot about it sticks out for this roster. Fallout has a unique post-apocalyptic setting, with a mascot in-game that also sort of represents a cleaned up, "Bob's Big Boy"-styled version of the player character, and is also used in some spin-offs and cameos in other games [like our timeline's Mii Fighter outfit of him]. We also currently don't have a PC-originating series, so that's nice, as well. Would also have a female "Vault Dweller" alt. As far as moveset ideas, there are a ton of weapons and ammunition types in the Fallout series to choose from: https://fallout.fandom.com/wiki/Fallout_weapons https://fallout.fandom.com/wiki/Fallout_ammunition
...as well as a few other items.

Job #30: Joker (Persona 5)
90E5A2B1-CF65-4E2D-9045-93EFBC3506F4.png

Joker is the main character in the game, Persona 5. Joker could fight with his dagger, gun, and his persona, Arséne. Persona 5 is the best selling Persona game in the series and is seen as one of the best RPG games of all time.

Here are the submissions for Job #30. Please vote for your top three most wanted in order. You can only put your own submission in second or third place.

Wario Wario Wario Wario Wario Wario Sephiroth (Final Fantasy 7)
Pupp135 Pupp135 Tidus (Final Fantasy 10)
Yiptap Yiptap Ness (Earthbound)
AlRex AlRex Vault Boy (Fallout series)
evanwoo10 evanwoo10 Joker (Persona 5)
Champion of Hyrule Champion of Hyrule Slime (Dragon Quest series)

My votes:
1. Sephiroth (honestly I really like the idea of crossovers occssionally picking side characters or villains before the main character if said side character or villain is iconic, more popular or represents the series better than the main character)
2. Joker
3. Vault Boy

Here are the results from the voting of Job #30:
Sephiroth 13
Tidus 1
Ness 3
Vault Boy 9
Joker 6
Slime 10

So… Yeah, the character we’re going to add is Sephiroth. IMO he’s a great RPG rep and a great villain rep so I’m glad he’s in this thread. (as you might be able to see, he's also my main lol)

Job #31 will start in a couple of hours.

Okay so seeing as how Sephiroth is a pretty recent addition in our universe, I kinda doubt people will have many ideas for changing Seph's moveset, but just in case, I'm gonna give this opportunity to submit any changes people would like to make about Sephiroth. Just submit it along with your Job #31 submission:

Job #31: Submit an Item from a series that doesn't have any
Just submit any item as long as it's from a series that doesn't yet have any items in this thread

Job #31
Explosive Barrel (DOOM)

Barrel.png
Burnbarr.png

Seemingly a barrel filled with nuclear waste. Once you attack it several times or hit it with a particularly devastating projectile, it will explode. However, if you let it be after attacking it for a bit, it will instead become a flaming barrel, which can damage foes who get close to it. Of course, after that, it will become even easier to blow up. You can also pick it up and toss it at a foe and it will explode upon impact. It's slightly smaller, but just about as heavy as a regular Smash Bros. Barrel from our timeline. If multiple spawn at once and they're near each other, or you move one next to the other, you can attack them to start a chain reaction of explosions. Or you can even start that by just throwing one at the other.

[Hopefully this doesn't preclude DOOMGuy from getting onto the roster.]

My submission will be Summon Materia from Final Fantasy 7

The item is sort of like the pokéball of our universe in that in summons only characters from one series, but this item instead is for the summons from Final Fantasy 7. There are six random possible summons:

1. Ifrit

He flies upwards in the air then charges forward and towards the ground covered in flames. There’s a giant fiery explosion when he hits the ground.

2. Shiva

She flies into the air then throws a gigantic ball of ice towards the ground. The ball of ice freezes any opponents it hits.

3. Bahamut ZERO

Bahamut flies way up in the air and goes to the center of the stage. Then they shoot a blast of energy near the center which causes a huge explosion, damaging anyone who was close enough.

4. Choco and Mog

The chocobo runs across the screen a few times. If they hit someone, a big comical looking explosion appears, damaging the opponent.

5. Knights of the Round

The knight in the center of this image will slash his sword forward. If it hits anyone, about four or five other knights will appear and individually start slashing at the opponent, dealing massive damage

6. Meteor

Pretty much just the moon assist trophy only with the meteor from FF7. I know this doesn’t technically come from a summon materia in FF7 but I wanted to include it anyway.

If Steve gets in (which I feel is inevitable) I'll have to submit Spawn Eggs in a similar style.

Job #31: Plunger Gun (Rayman Raving Rabbids)
B2384E01-D486-4E99-9CA5-58F6E4A7227C.png

The Plunger Gun is used in the first person shooter sections in the Rayman Raving Rabbids games. If a player gets a hold of the Plunger Gun, they will be able to shot plungers at other fighters. The first shot at a fighter will cause them to have a plunger stuck on them for awhile, until it fades away. While the plunger is stuck, specials will be disabled and other fighters will be able to use the stuck plunger as a mini platform. Each shot by a plunger will cause a fighter to be knocked back a little each time.

Plunger Gun ideas co-created with Wario Wario Wario Wario Wario Wario

[Hopefully this doesn't preclude Rayman or the Rabbids from getting onto the roster as well.]

Small suggestion - perhaps to make this a little less generic, a stuck plunger does something to the foe until it goes away? slowing down dash speed or disabling specials come to mind.

Since I contributed in part to the creation of the Plunger Gun item, am I allowed to vote for it in first place? It doesn't matter since I want to vote Materia as #1 either way but I'm just curious.

#1 Summon Materia
#2 Punch Gun
#3 Plunger Gun

Yeah I guess you would have been allowed to vote for it in this situation
