Job #74: Submit a Half-Life Stage
I figure I’ll do the job to add a Half-Life stage right about now. So, just submit a stage to represent the Half-Life series. Please submit a location and a stage layout.
Nova Prospekt from Half-Life 2. The top parts can be used as platforms, and the bottom parts act as a floor. Combine grunts, akin to those in Smash Run, will periodically spawn in and attack fighters, much like in the original game.
This would be a stage like Minecraft World, where it is different each time you play it or you can manipulate it through a simple button combo
The Layout is the exact same for both formations, The Right side has a tall platform that is slightly smaller than Kalos Pokemon League with 2 smaller platforms above it. The Left Side has a platform that goes all the way to the blast zone but it is completely flat and at a lower altitude
The Black Mesa Formation takes place outside a hangar, the leftmost platform is a cliff formation while the right side is a laboratory with a scientist cowering inside it, The Background you can see a Gargantua dueling a group of HECU Grunts
The City 17 Formation puts you in the middle of the city during the Resistance war, Both platforms are destroyed building and you can see resistance soldiers on both of them, in the background you can see Striders and of course the Citadel.
Both Formations have a chance of Spawning a Headcrab enemy from Smash run
Okay so it hasn’t been that long but we’ve gotten a lot of votes so I think I’ll close up the moveset polls right now: my movesets for Snake and Sub-Zero have gotten the most votes so they will both be added
I’ll close up the half-life job in a couple of hours but before then I’d like to do a poll to see if anyone wants Liquid Snake in as an echo of Snake. It’s an echo idea I’ve seen a lot of people suggest in the past so I’ll see if anyone wants it here:
Also, just a fun fact I thought I’d share with you guys: I counted and Smash Ultimate has a total of 38 different series represented through the roster. We have 20 meaning we only need to add 18 more series to have more in our roster than Smash Ultimate does! Since we have 22 slots left in the roster I think we could very well pass that mark, especially because we will most likely add some DLC characters.
Adding some songs:
Overworld (Link’s Awakening)
Angler’s Tunnel (Link’s Awakening)
Goron City (Ocarina of Time)
All from Zelda
Also, it looks like Nova Prospekt won the Half-Life stage poll.
Okay, the votes came in:
We will be adding Liquid and we will be adding Nova Prospekt! Now onto the next job:
Job #75: Submit a Character Who Debuted in the 2000s
Alright so we're onto the next character job now. These come pretty quickly now lol. Anyways, for this job all you need to submit is a character who debuted sometime in the 2000s. Please submit the character, explain who they are and a bit about how they would fight, and why they should be in this game.
Also, since Half-Life and Portal are so connected I think I can add a couple of portal tracks. So I'll add Still Alive and Radio Loop from portal.

Waluigi
Waluigi is Luigi's mischevious alter-ego, who's friends with Wario. He has appeared in many Mario games and even got his own board named after him in Mario Party 3. He's also quite greedy and has once tried to sabotage a tennis tournament. Gaining popularity over the years, Waluigi's inclusion as the fourth "Bro" character would be a satisfying turn of events.
Waluigi fights with his racket and by stomping, he can also throw money and dash at the opponents. He's quite lanky and is a lower-heavyweight in terms of weight.
Debut: Mario Tennis 64 (2000)
Series: Mario

The tracks Waterworld - DKC3 and Dingodile - Crash of the Titans are missing their consoles of origin, the different consoles had different tracks for those games which is why I specified.

Job #75
There were a lot I felt should be added in some way. GTA, the Sims, Bioshock, Mass Effect, Call of Duty, Cave Story as a personal favorite, and I don’t mind if people mine this post for their own submission ideas, but one candidate sticks out to me right now…
Kratos, from God of War, has perhaps become Sony’s most known original video game character and series. He’s a former Spartan warrior taking revenge on the Greek Gods, using numerous weapons and other equipment he finds along the way to do so, ranging from swords & shields, axes, blades on swinging chains, axes, hammers, and even things like Medusa’s head, Icarus’s wings, or Pandora’s Box on occasion. He later has a son named Atreus, who eventually adventures alongside him. We could choose to have them as a duo or to stick with the more traditional Kratos for the time being, potentially saving him for a later assist role or something.
My submission will be Amingo... From Marvel vs. Capcom 2
Alright so Amingo is a character that was introduced in the game Marvel Vs. Capcom 2, one of the most beloved and well-known fighting games. Despite mahvel taking a lot of characters from Capcom's past he was actually an original character made just for the game, although there are theories that he's actually a scrapped character from the Darkstalkers series. If Amingo gets in he would be a good representation for not only the MvC series, but also Capcom arcade games in general, a pretty big underrated part of gaming history. Amingo is a pretty beloved character who hasn't been seen in a while and so he would make a lot of gamers happy. Plus, since platform fighters would be a new thing in this universe, adding a character so integral to the history of fighting games who isn't one of the more "marketable" ones like Ryu would be a great way to "legitimize" this game in the eyes of the FGC.
If Amingo gets in, I feel like the game characters only rule would prevent us mentioning certain Marvel characters or series by name, but we would be able to use the name Marvel vs. Capcom since it's the name of a game series Capcom actually published. I feel like since Mahvel has lots of non-marvel related elements and he's listed as part of the Capcom series he would be able to make it in even if it's technically a licensed game (characters like android 21 still aren't eligible for submission though FYI) Overall, he would push the boundaries of which characters can get into a game like this and I think it would be great to add a character like that.
Amingo fights using cartoony plant based attacks and so we could probably bring some of those to Smash. I imagine we could also represent the fast-paced gameplay of his home series in his moveset.
Arguably one of the most influential and punishing "Monster Collector" RPG series around, Demi-Fiend would join the battle as a representative of Shin Megami Tensei. SMT III is the most popular and iconic one, so that's why I chose him. Demi-Fiend would overall be really cool, so that's pretty much my entire argument. So yeah, vote Demi-Fiend! (Fun Fact, Shin Megami Tensei came out before Pokémon)
Pyramid Head is one of the most iconic monsters in Silent Hill and horror gaming history. Pyramid Head serves as the one of the main villains in Silent Hill 2.
Heavy Spoilers for Silent Hill Series!!!
Pyramid Head is the manifestation of James Sunderland’s (main character) desire for punishment, after killing his own wife. After Silent Hill 2, Pyramid Head later became a creature of justice that punishes anyone that deserves it.
Silent Hill is a Japanese psychological horror survival series, created by Keiichiro Toyama and developed/published by Konami. Silent Hill is known as one of the best horror game series out there, many even say that it revolutionized the entire horror genre in gaming. Pyramid Head is also no stranger to being in E rated games (ex. Krazy Kart Racing, New International Track & Field, and Super Bomberman R). Pyramid Head would also mean another villain would join the roster to go along with Sephiroth.
Pyramid Head could wield his iconic weapon, the Great Knife. It could slow Pyramid Head down with it’s weight, but it could deal a lot of damage with a single hit. Pyramid Head could also switch out his knife for the Great Sphear. The Great Sphear would be much lighter compared to the Great Knife and would be better for quick attacks. He could trap fighters in Cages of Atonement to drain their health, from Dead by Daylight. He could even carve a trail on the ground that could stun or damage fighters, also from Dead by Daylight as well.
I would also like to submit Shadow the Hedgehog for a future poll to be a potential echo fighter for Sonic.
Shadow the Hedgehog was created by Gerald Robotnik to be the Ultimate Life Form. Gerald wanted to cure his granddaughter, Marie, from her incurable disease. Gerald’s plans of curing his granddaughter was put to an end when the military invaded his base and captured him and his creation, while killing his own granddaughter. Years later, Shadow was reawakened by Dr. Eggman to help him conquer the world. Unknown to Eggman though, Shadow only cared by avenging his friend by destroying humanity. Thanks to Amy reawakening Shadow’s memories of Marie, he joins forces with Sonic to save the world. He was even playable in Sonic Adventure 2, with his own missions.
After Sonic Adventure 2, Shadow grew such a huge fanbase that he got to make his grand return in Sonic Heroes (again as a playable character) and even get his own game. He continues to be a reoccurring Sonic character. It’s been said that there has been past Sega polls that showed Shadow the Hedgehog as the second most popular Sonic character of all time (just right behind Sonic).
Shadow the Hedgehog could technically do every move Sonic does.
2000s Submission
Palico (Monster Hunter)
The feline companions of the player characters from the monster hunter series, the Palicos are sort of like the Servbots, bumbling assistants that can be deadly in large numbers. Palicos are capable of use a variety of tools like bombs, nets, and healing herbs in an attempt to help there monster hunter buddies slay there targets.
The reason I chose Palico over Monster Hunter is because of the focus on platform fighting, a genra that needs catlike reflexes, which Palico is exactly is.
Palico would help put some more cartoony animals in the game as there seems to be a lack of cartoony animal charatcers in this game, and Palico would work purrfectly with this game. It is a lightweight character.

Like I said the past couple of fighters have all been humans, you dont want this to become this universe's equvilent to the another anime swordfighter complaints people have been having
By the way, does anyone have any objections to me giving Mega Man the moveset he has in smash in our universe? Don’t say any moveset ideas, just say if you have any
1. Red
2. Kratos
3. Pyramid Head
This round is rather varied and interesting. I also think Mega Man’s current moveset is alright, though I can think of a few different ways the Mega Buster and Variable Weapons could work, but they may overcomplicate things.
Red 5
Waluigi 7
Kratos 5
Amingo 10
Dante 8
Tidus 6
Demi-Fiend 4
Pyramid Head 8
Palico 2
This means Amingo will be added to the roster! Just so we’re on the same page, for his profiles you are allowed to submit characters from the arcade era of Capcom as well as characters debuting in the MvC series, but not any Marvel characters. Also until we get SNK representation in here, you can’t submit any music from capcom vs SNK. Anyways I’m pretty excited about Amingo being in this game. I have lots of profiles and music I’d like to submit but I’ll wait a bit before I do.
By the way, we will use Mega Man’s moveset from Ultimate. I’ll also start a strawpoll to see if people want Roll as an echo since she often has the same moveset as mega man in things like marvel vs capcom:
Job #76: Submit an Assist Trophy for a Represented Series
I figured I’d do another broad assist trophy job so for this job all you need to submit is an assist trophy for a series that’s already represented in this thread. It doesn’t have to be represented with a fighter, just represented at all. Please submit an assist trophy and explain how it would work.
I’ll nominate Amy from the Sonic series since she is a recurring character in the series, but not as major/popular as Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, Shadow, and Eggman. As an assist, she’ll attack with her hammer, and she is KO’able.
This alien from the Half-Life series works similar to the flower where it attaches to a fighter's head and inflicts small amounts of damage. It jumps around and scuttles along the stage, and it slows the fighter down and inverts movement controls once it attaches itself to a head. It can be knocked of by dashdancing/moving around a lot and can be KO'd either when it's moving around or while it's on someone.
This is a specialized Assist Trophy in that they can start out as a duo, with Midna riding around on Wolf Link, using some of her hair attacks to grab from a distance and throw them around for Wolf Link to charge into, but Midna can also dismount, acting like the Ultimate Assist Trophy, while Wolf Link also goes off for himself, charging, biting, and scratching foes.
Alyx is from Half-life 2 and it's episodes as well as Half-life Alyx, Alyx would run and jump around, and use her exclusive weapon simply titled "The Alyx Gun" which has a more powerful single shot pistol and a rapid fire smg mode, Before she leaves she pulls out the Shotgun from Half-life Alyx and fires it KO-ing those hit who are over 100%
Job 76:
Odin from the Final Fantasy series.
Odin would rush in on Sleipnir, knocking fighters as he initially dashes across the screen, before throwing his Gunge Lance at the battlefield, sending a giant wave of thunderbolts across the field.
