Fighters:
1. Luigi - So NOW it's okay to add Luigi? After all I was told after submitting him earlier?
2. Zelda - Why not?
3. King Dedede - Apologies, my fellow Bandana Dee hopers. It hurts me to say it, but I just can't see a world where he gets in over the King or the Knight. Especially since Forgotten Land wouldn't be out yet in this timeframe.

Assist Trophies:
1. Squid Sisters
2. Hammer Bro
3. Soren

Job 41: Stage:
Gerudo Town (Legend Of Zelda)

I figure we could use a desert-y stage of sorts. I could see a few shops being used as bounce pads to use while in the air. As you fight, several of the Gerudo, with a special appearance by Urbosa, all watch as you duke it out.

Job 42: Samus & Kirby Alts:

History Cards:
Red & Charizard (Pokemon)
Blue & Blastoise (Pokemon)

Zeke & Pandoria (Xenoblade Chronicles 2)
Tora & Poppi (Xenoblade Chronicles 2)

Fighters:
1. Zelda: I have spoken at length about how I consider a new Zelda character to be of paramount importance and I think that the owner of the Triforce of Wisdom makes perfect sense. It will be very fun to come up with a moveset for her, considering how Zelda's moveset in the OT Smash series is based on the four spells from Ocarina of Time and the only reasons why Zelda had that moveset is that OoT was the most recent Zelda game at that time and Zelda has been shown as capable of harnessing magic. And this makes her inclusion even more interesting to me!
2. Yoshi: Let's face it, Luigi is going to be included regardless of the results of this job. So I'd be interested in rounding up the big Mario characters by adding Yoshi, as the fifth most important face in that series. I think that Luigi and Zelda will be added, but I will still cast my vote for my preferred choice here.
3. King Dedede: This addition would complete the three characters I absolutely feel like they are required to round up the currently represented series (besides Luigi who, again, I think could appear as a clone as well). King Dedede is also interesting as he would be yet another "villain" and a big body too, completing the trifecta of him (the King of Dream Land), Bowser (the King of Koopas), and DK (the King of the Jungle).

Very quickly, I'd like to give a shoutout to some great choices:
  • Both Villager and Tom Nook were interesting additions to spice up the current Animal Crossing representation. Personally, I'd go with Villager, but since we already have Isabelle I think that Tom Nook might make a bit more sense. At any rate, I would NOT be upset if anyone of them showed up in a future job.
  • Waddle Dee is an enlightened choice only held back by the fact that King Dedede is one of my favorite characters in gaming and that we may just be running short of slots to have both of them. But if we are planning to do DLCs for this game you bet I am supporting him!
  • Luigi feels like an inevitable choice. And that makes a ton of sense, I mean, it's Luigi! I haven't voted for him simply because I can see him being a clone, so we would have one more free slot for a non-clone fighter, but I can't wait to design a moveset for the green brother, trying to balance his Mario-inspiration and add enough flavor to have him stand out on his own.

Assist Trophies
1. Squid Sisters: I am not a huge fan of the idols in Splatoon (or in real life, for that matter), but even I cannot deny their importance to the series. Now, with Pyra and Mythra, as well as the Pokemon Trainer, I cannot see them being stance changing fighters. At the same time, I cannot see them being Ice Climbers-like fighters, simply because I think they'd be a bit overwhelming with an ink gimmick attached on top of their duo gimmick. But as Assist Trophies, they are a great addition! You may even call them ink-redible!
2. Spiny: Some simpler ATs are also very welcome! I like some simple enemies to play a role in this category as well and Spiny is a neat candidate!
3. Soren: I stand by the idea that representing characters coming from other nooks of the Fire Emblem series is a good idea and considering how vast the rosters of those games picking a non-Lord for some role is a nice touch. Anyway, I won't die on this hill. I have never even played the Tellius duology anyway...

Stage: NES Remix
UNESRNewCover.jpg

A very retro stage! Initially, fighters would be pit in a stage similar to Pokemon Stadium, but NES themed (the main platform is actually a NES) and the two floating platforms are inclined. However, the stage has various transformations:
  • One themed after Super Mario Bros., where the stage turns into the first screen of World 1-1, modified to remove the walk-offs.
  • A recreation of the first level of Donkey Kong, 25m.
  • One themed after Punch-Out!!: the fighters are on a ring and sprites of Little Mac and Von Kaiser fight against each other. Their punches can damage players, but they can be defeated if hit enough times.
  • One themed after Ice Climber: the stage transforms into two parallel ice platforms made of ice cubes which can be destroyed.
  • One themed after Balloon Fight, being similar to the first stage of that game only without walk-offs.
  • One themed after The Legend of Zelda: the stage remains largely the same, only changing its aesthetic to match the one from the game, while on the background some scenes of Link exploring Hyrule play.
  • One themed after NES Open Tournament Golf: the stage gets flat and in the background one can see the map of a golf course. However, when the ball is hit in the background, a ball projectile appears on stage.
  • One themed after Clu Clu Land, where Bubbles flies around the stage and stuns players using her shockwaves.
  • Finally, one themed after Tennis, where the stage turns into a tennis court and the sprites of two players in the background exchange the tennis ball, which deals damage to the fighters in the foreground.
The stage cycles randomly through the nine variations. I wanted to add a stage which doesn't represent any series in particular, but it pays homage to the whole NES era (and the two NES Remix games).

3. Luigi

Sorry I haven't really been contributing as much lately, but I've just needed to shift my priorities elsewhere. Still, the reason I sat out from last round doesn't really have to do with that and has more to do with the fact that pretty much every character I cared to talk about was nominated. My votes are pretty boring, but I think they're the right ones. After Peach and Bowser have already made it, and given that Luigi can be a clone if need be, adding onto other series feels like the right move and Zelda is the obvious step forward. I don't see a roster without her in it so we ought to just get it out of the way. I'm also voting for King Dedede because... well, I just love the guy. And I do believe his moveset would stand out among the pack here. I'm uncertain if Kirby is the series that absolutely needs a second character right now but given how colorful its cast is and how naturally they pivot over to Smash in the first place, it's not a bad call.

And alright, I mean Luigi could be a clone like we said, but should he be one? Luigi's got a hell of a strong personality, and has some of his own adventures to lean into, so I think there's plenty that can be done to make him unique even if he's still deviating off the jist of Mario's moveset. I guess then the question should be "what does a clone look like in this game?" and seeing if Luigi fits that bill - if it's a Melee style clone, I'm not sure if it's the right move. And frankly seeing how Mario uses Cappy for some of his moves I think it might be strange to see Luigi do that.

Honorable mentions toward Tom Nook and Squid Sisters. I would like to see Tom Nook get onto the roster soon and will probably be gunning more for him as we move closer toward the supplemental stuff (but we're going to need more justification than "he's more of a character than Villager"... I wish some characters got more in-depth explanations for their nominations but I digress). Squid Sisters are a shame, IMO. I wanted to endorse an idol duo for this game but the double whammy of Pyra / Mythra and Pokemon Trainer discouraged me from pursuing it much further. And everyone seems eager to throw them into the AT role, so whatever. Maybe we can talk about Off the Hook or DJ Octavio later. Between these series and the ones I voted for, I think that should be our general pool for IP that warrant secondary reps.

Oh yeah, and Marth. I don't really know what to make of Marth here but I do think I want someone like Marth in the game. I had been tossing around the idea of bringing in Chrom, who is close to a modern series face equivalent to Marth, but FE celebrates its history enough to justify the man himself. In any case I would like to see us add a more traditional swordie at some point. I think, archetypically speaking, Smash is better for having Marth around.

1. Soren
2. Nia
3. Hammer Bro

I'd vote for Resetti, but I assumed that Cranky Kong was kind of doing his job for him in this version.

Vote for your three most wanted, where yours is not first.

1. NES Remix
2. Boxing Ring
3. Gerudo Town

I think the NES Remix stage is a really clever idea, and I think a second Legend of Zelda stage is warranted regardless of Zelda’s recent inclusion.

Also, we’ll use Masked Borb Masked Borb ’s Samus and Kirby recolors and alts.

Job 43: Submit a Boss Not from Legend of Zelda
SM Kraid.jpg

I’ll nominate Kraid from the Metroid series, and he would be based on his Super Metroid boss fight.
Job 44: Submit Pokemon Trainer and Aegis Movesets

For history cards, I’ll need to replace something in place of Squid Sisters

As it was submitted earlier, feel free to submit something different for a Pokemon history card.

Stages!
1. Noisy Notebook - I FORGOT THIS GAME EXISTED, ITS SO ADORABLE. YES.
2. Gerudo Town - Desert level.
3. Last Resort - Last, but not least. The classic Mansion will be missed, ofc. But this is a great enough replacement that'll act differently.

Job 43: Non-Zelda Boss
Whispy Woods (Kirby)

Good ol' Whispy. One of the kings of first bosses everywhere. He'll work pretty much exactly how he does in Star Allies & the Kirby Clash games, having a second phase having him JUMP OUT OF THE GROUND and try to flatten you, or use his roots as spikes.

Job 44: Pokemon Trainer Moveset(s)
Alrighty! Time to bite the bullet and make a moveset for my creation! I didn't expect all the love it recieved at first, nor did I expect it to get it accepted, either! Buuuuut I also didn't expect all the disdain for it after it got accepted alongside Pyra & Mythra though. I'm sorry for making you all feel like we were "cheating the system" or something, technically adding three unique characters(two of which aren't that new, one of these being JIGGLYPUFF of all things) alongside two others. This was just an idea I thought sounded fun.

With the yammering out of the way, here's what I came up with. Since there's three Pokemon, each one gets a moveset of their own. So... two """""sorta-reworks"""", and one built from the ground-up.... sorta.

Lemme know how I did when I wake up, Imma tireeeeeeeegetehsybweyhwyhyjxhwhsywguqyjqshyhwqukuybshwsshsssss.................

History Card Replacements?
Capn' Cuttlefish (Splatoon)

Leaf & Venusaur (Pokemon)

Stage vote:
  1. Noisy Notebook: I'd like to use this job to add a stage which doesn't come from a series which is already represented and Snipperclips is a great idea to throw into the mix in this case! The aesthetic could be very unique as well.
  2. NES Remix: Self vote, but I really think it is healthy to represent Nintendo's whole history and having at least one stage which represents the good ol' days of yore is important, imo.
  3. Gerudo Town: A very sleeper pick as far as Zelda stages go. Now, Zelda herself just got added, but since I don't see ourselves adding any other Zelda fighter soon, I could make an exception for this one AND another stage from the series to accompany the Wise Princess of Hyrule.
You may have noticed that, among the list, I haven't voted for Boxing Ring, which comes from a series without a fighter. That is because I am still hoping we can add Little Mac later down the line and that would legitimately be the only stage from the series I can see added.

Job #43: King Bob-Omb
king_bobomb.png

The very first boss in Super Mario 64, King Bob-Omb surely is an iconic character in Nintendo's history. With his round body and glorious mustache, what could King Bob-Omb do in a game like Smash? Well, first of all he could toss Bob-Ombs around. Then he could of course use his large body to perform some punches, kicks, and slams. Another interesting attack I could see him doing is actually blowing up, then emerging like nothing ever happened. After all, I assume you don't become the ruler of Bob-Ombs without some special abilities. And since it is his most iconic ability, King Bob-Omb HAS to be able to grab players and fling them around. I think we could come up with a few more attacks, like a rain of Bob-Ombs, but you get the gist.
But on top of his admittedly not huge moveset potential, I think King Bob-Omb could have an argument for himself by being the first boss in a 3D Mario game ever. That has to account for something, right?

Job #44: Pokémon Trainer and the Aegis' movesets
I think that the Aegis should have their movesets from Smash Ultimate, but I'd add a few changes to Mythra's moveset specifically to make her a bit less... "special"? compared to Pyra.
Namely, I'd make her up special being just Ray of Punishment, her uncharged up special. Then, I'd remove her Foresight ability. If we want to reference it (and I'd like to), we can implement it in her normal dodging ability.
From my admittedly extremely limited knowledge about Xenoblade Chronicles 2, Mythra should be a more special version of Pyra, but I don't really like the sort of "favoritism" that has been played in this case. But other than that, I think their movesets flow very well, so I am in favor of not overhauling them (especially because I'd have no idea on how to do it hehe).

Now, for the Pokémon Trainer

Now, for the Pokémon Trainer
For Pokemon Trainer, I’m unsure how to handle this at the moment because we could Jigglypuff and Pikachu can use the movesets from BritishGuy54 BritishGuy54 ’s proposal, but his proposal excludes Eevee. I’m wondering if we should do separate votes for each pokemon, or if the entire trainer moveset should be voted together.

For Aegis, here is the poll between BritishGuy54 and LoZ00’s submissions.

Job 45: Submit a Clone
Daisy.png
I’ll get Daisy out of the way in terms of nominations. Even though Super Nintendo World and Super Mario Bros. Wonder don’t exist in this timeline, Daisy is a relevant character through spinoffs.

Job 46: Submit an Assist Trophy

I wanted to nominate a notable gaming relic here with R.O.B. I’d envision him taking sets of disks in the background, and he would stack them, so players can use them as platforms.
As a Bonus, feel free to submit an item.

Clone - Dark Samus

Think this is a solid choice. Represents Prime series particularly (with 4 announced early in switchs lifetime) & has a distinct enough esthetic to stand out.

Assist - Anna

Will active a coin Smash state where the summoner needs to collect coins by doing damage to opponents. At end Anna will do an attack whose range & damage is determined by how many coins were collected.

Job 45: Pneuma (Xenoblade) (clone for Mythra)
IMG_6284.png

Looking back at Melee, not every clone has to be a completely different person, right? I do think it would give this game its own identity to include some less obvious clones.

Don’t forget, XC got popular with 2, even more so with Smash only starting in the Switch era. Pneuma is just a fun and different option as a middle ground between Mythra and Pyra.

Toy Link
I considered a Toon Link or Young Link (which we could maybe even call this character) but i think this would be a cute tie in to a recent release, especially since we've just seen a recent return to this artstyle. He would be a quicker but shorter Link, less range but more upfront power.

Bosses:
1. Whispy Woods: I think that tree warranted its presence in Smash Bros. and honestly I'm a bit shocked that it only appeared as a background element in the two oldest stages of the Kirby series. It's an iconic part of an iconic series and honestly it deserves more love. I'm totally rallying behind it. It was also one of the few instances where a submission was made and I instantly regretting not coming up with that idea. With that being said, I still think that...
2. King Bob-Omb is a neat idea. It is one of those characters that exudes a very powerful Nintendo energy and I've already spoken at lengths of why I think he deserves to be in.
3. Kraid: I think a Metroid boss is to be warranted and although I don't see us making space for Ridley in the roster, therefore making him more appropriate than Kraid, I'd love for Kraid to have his time in the spotlight for once.
Shoutout to Giratina as well, it is a great idea but I'm afraid it would compete with either Necrozma or Eternatus, two Pokémon which I think have a much more powerful "boss" aura.

Job #45: Octoling
Now I think it's the right time for this colorful cephalopod champion to make a splash. I can see them being based on Inkling (duh) and mostly using variants of Inkling's weapons coming from Splatoon 2, the game where playable Octoling debuted. If we want to make things fancy, I guess we could drop Inkling's Splattershot and give Octoling the Dualies as their default weapons, but idk if it is good or not.

Job #46: Poo
Poo.png

Uses the move PK Startstorm, kind of like Ness' Final Smash in Brawl and Ultimate.

Bosses:
1. King Bob-Omb - Uh... whatever LoZ said about him, paste it here-
2. Whispy Woods - Missing an 'h' in there-
3. Giratina - A cool enough Pokémon boss, despite having competition with other more recent boss Pokémon.

Job 45: Clone Character

All the clone ideas I would've put in are already submitted, so here's an Alph.

Job 46: Assist Trophy
Cosmic Clone (Super Mario)

A mysterious clone who transforms into a dark form of any of the opponents of the fighter who summoned it, akin to Ditto. Upon contact/catching up to the opponent it clones, it'll do a bit of poisonous damage to them, before disappearing and reappearing to do the same thing once more. In battles with more than 2 fighters, the clone will transform into another fighter and go after that one. Only rarely will it re-clone the same fighter.

Speaking of Ditto... does anyone want to involve Poké Ball Pokémon? Would that be too ambitious for this first game? If we wanted to, should we just push them into the Assist Trophy role instead? Wanted to ask around before I try to include a Poké Ball as an item.

3. Alph

I’m voting to get the most obvious clone choices out of the way first. For the third clone, I‘m leaning towards Alph as he’s more relevant than Dark Samus, and I feel like the idea of a second Link would fit better for DLC or a hypothetical sequel. While some think that Isabelle’s inclusion would be Villager less meaningful, I think there’s still merit for me to vouch for Villager as a unique newcomer again given Animal Crossing’s popularity, and canon SSB added Pikachu before a Pokemon Trainer.

It does kind of feel like Toy Link has come a bit too late, to be honest. Maybe if we do DLC, it would be a neat addition.

Dark Samus is questionable at this moment. We’re well past the Prime series of games, and Prime 4 is still a long way out.

1. Octoling - A no brainer. A second Splatoon character is warranted and if we’re not going to fit a unique face, this is possibly the most obvious potential clone.

2. Daisy - Another obvious one. Wonder hasn’t come out in time for our roster, but it’s not as if Daisy has ever lacked the popularity. I’d be curious to see what changes we want to make to her.

3. Pneuma - I can kinda dig this idea. I could see the value in a character who blends elements from both halves into a whole, to create a more streamlined character that abandons the stance change. I think this would also just be fine as a Final Smash form, but either way.

Side note, but I have no interest in adding Villager now after Isabelle. Feel like Villager is either the first AC character you add or bust, making the avatar a clone of a more defined character is kind of odd.

1. Cosmo Clone
2. ROB
3. Nia

I like the Mallo nod as well, I’d support it if it comes back up later. Just a bit iffy on it because Pushmo was kinda old news at this point.

About Pokémon Trainer, I feel that Masked Borb Masked Borb and I tried to conceptualize the movesets of the Pokémon as a trio, to try to balance each other out, so I'd rather have them as one singular package.

With that being said, let's vote:
Clones:
1. Alph: I think that another Pikmin representative could work, especially if Olimar focused on Red/Yellow/Blue Pikmin and Alph could focus on Rock/Winged Pikmin (or if Olimar uses Red/Yellow/Blue/Purple/White, just replace the last two for Alph). Also, with Pikmin 3 Deluxe being semi-recent and Pikmin 4 still a distant sight in the horizon, there is an argument to be made that Alph and Olimar are both almost equally important faces in the franchise.
2. Octoling: Self-vote, but I think that a second Splatoon character has to appear somehow. It was (and still is) the biggest "new" Nintendo IP at that time, Splatoon 2 was almost a launch title for the Switch and Splatoon 3 would come out in less than a year, I think Octoling would be a no-brainer.
3. Princess Daisy: why not? I mean, she'd be a neat clone of Peach, with more an emphasis on traditional movement without her defining floating. I think it is neat.

Dark Samus was a very close 4th place, since I don't see us making room for any other Metroid representative, but I'd rather have her (or Ridley) as a DLC, provided we do that of course. In that same boat, I'd probably place Toy Link as well.

Assist Characters:
1. Cosmo Clone: An ingenious idea, I really like its concept and execution. Bravo Masked Borb!
2. Mallo: Another super fun addition! Mallo would work super well as an Assist and whilst he'd be a bit too irrelevant to be a playable fighter, he'd still represent an important aspect of Nintendo, that being eShop.
3. R.O.B.: Yet another entertaining choice, I placed R.O.B. last only because I think it could work as an item too. But I would love to reference it somewhere.

Job 47:
So this is a tricky question. Do we want to have unique bosses in Classic Mode? Is there going to be a Story Mode of sorts? At any rate, I think that 7 bosses is a fair number. It is not over-exaggerated while it also allows us to represent all the major Nintendo series (after Mario, Zelda, and Metroid, I'd love to have at least a Pokémon and maybe a Kirby boss!)

Job 48:
Princess Peach's wardrobe:
  • Default: Pink dress, blonde hair, you know it
  • Orange: Peach's dress is orange, her hair is brown and her skin is a bit tan. I bet you can see the reference...
  • Light Blue: Peach's dress is light blue and her hair is platinum blonde. Another rather obvious reference...
  • Red: Peach's dress is red and her hair is brown. Closes the circle by referencing... you can guess it by now.
  • White: Peach's dress is white with red details. It references Fire Peach from Super Mario 3D World.
  • Light Green: Peach's dress is light green. It references her appearance in the title screen of NES Open Golf Tournament, where she had a short, light green dress.
  • Wedding: Peach's appearance as a bride in Super Mario Odyssey.
  • Vacation: Peach's appearance in the post-game of Super Mario Odyssey, namely while visiting the Sand, Cloud, Metro, and Ruined Kingdoms.

Bowser's attires shell-f:
  • Default: You know the drill: yellow skin, green shell, red hair.
  • Green: Bowser's skin and shell are both green and his hair is orange. It references his appearance in Super Mario World.
  • Blue: Bowser's skin is light blue, his shell is blue, and his hair is orange-ish. It references Blue Bowser, the main enemy in Super Mario Bros.: The Lost Levels.
  • Brown: Bowser's skin is brown, his shell is black, and his head is white, while his hair is black as well. It references Morton Koopa Jr.'s color scheme. Being the most unique Koopaling in terms of coloring, I decided to only reference him.
  • Red: Bowser's shell is red, while the rest of his body is unchanged. It references Red Shells and Red-Shelled Koopas.
  • Orange: Bowser's skin is orange with deep orange stripes, his shell is black, and his hair is vibrant red. It references Meowser's color scheme.
  • Wedding: Completing the trifecta made up of him, Princess Peach, and Mario, Bowser receives his groom outfit from Super Mario Odyssey.
  • Dry Bowser: Bowser's model is changed to reference his skeletal persona. His voice, name, and the announcer calls are altered as well.

Pkmn Trainer Moves:
I agree with LoZ00 (I dunno how to mention, lol-) completely on that the moveset should be voted as a package. My take on Eevee might clash with their take on Pikachu, which also might clash with my take on Jigglypuff, etc.

Clones:
1. Octoling: Why not? I suppose Splatoon being considered one of Modern Nintendo's "All-Stars" at the time warrants getting another fighter, even though it's a clone.
2. Dark Samus: Methinks they can work well. It's mostly carried by all the stuff I've seen them do in boss fights and how they worked in Smash 4 as an assist.
3. Daisy: I'll bite. Despite my disdain for the amount of Mario characters we've shoved in, there's no real downside to her inclusion, even in a pre-Wonder world.

Pneuma is a close 4th, and isn't in the top 3 due to her kiiiiinda being a spoiler... right? I also agree on Louie G.'s (still dunno how to mention-) take on Villager at this point, and that we should've included him first.... unfortunately, the cute doggo got in first-

Assist Trophies:
1.R.O.B.: Suppose he'd be here somehow! I like the concept enough as well, a fun nod to something he can actually do.
2. Cosmic Clone: I'll be real, I was thinking about this... thing when listening to Mario Wonder's OST and making my previous reply. Before suggesting it as an AT, I was baffled how there was no one "Shadow Mario", and how the ones in Wonder, Galaxy 1, Galaxy 2/3D Land, & Bowser's Fury were all DIFFERENT Mario/Luigi clones! Isn't that crazy?
3. Anna: Fun concept overall! It'd be funny to see what she'd do if you didn't collect any coins for her...

Job 47: # of Bosses
I'll say 8. The usual amount of world bosses in platformers is 8, counting 7 normal ones and the Final Boss. I can see certain bosses appear at the end of certain character's Classic Mode runs... or at the end of a world or level in an adventure/story mode, hence the number of them.

Job 48: Bowser's Recolors & Alts
I liked Loz00's (HELP-) alts for Peach, and I couldn't come up with much else for her... Bowser, on the other hand...

Speaking of Ditto... does anyone want to involve Poké Ball Pokémon? Would that be too ambitious for this first game? If we wanted to, should we just push them into the Assist Trophy role instead? Wanted to ask around before I try to include a Poké Ball as an item.
I'll wait to see if anyone else has an opinion on how to handle non-playable Pokémon.

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

For a different item, how about a Hammer?

Pick it up, and feel the urge to swing it around like crazy! Knock all your worries away easily... so long as you don't try to go offstage with it. You need your hands to do that second jump, y'know.
We already have a Hammer item.

Here are the votes

Princess Daisy 15
Dark Samus 4
Pneuma 5
Toy Link
Octoling 19
Villager 1
Alph 4

Princess Daisy and Octoling are our first clones.

R.O.B. 14
Anna 5
Nia 11
Mallo 11
Poo
Cosmo Clone 13

R.O.B., Cosmo Clone, Nia, and Mallo will all be added as assist trophies.

For the Pokemon Trainer Moveset, we’ll use a poll to determine if we should use the Pokemon Trainer moveset from LoZ00 LoZ00 or Masked Borb Masked Borb

Job #44: Pokémon Trainer and the Aegis' movesets

Now, for the Pokémon Trainer

So... two """""sorta-reworks"""", and one built from the ground-up.... sorta.

For the number of bosses, please choose between 7 (mine and LoZ00 LoZ00 ) or 8 ( Masked Borb Masked Borb ).

For the Bowser recolors and alts, please choose between LoZ00 LoZ00 and Masked Borb Masked Borb ’s choices.

Job 48: Bowser's Recolors & Alts
I liked Loz00's (HELP-) alts for Peach, and I couldn't come up with much else for her... Bowser, on the other hand...

LoZ00 LoZ00 ’s Peach‘s recolors and alts will be used.

Job 49: Choose an All-Star Mode Format
I nominate using Melee’s format where the order is randomized.

Job 50: Submit Recolors and Alts for Donkey Kong and Edelgard.

I’ll do one for Edelgard. I like most of Masked Borb Masked Borb ’s ideas, but I’ll make two changes.

Default outfit: The outfit for the Three Houses cover art (i.e. pre-time skip)
Dimitri Color Scheme
Claude Color Scheme
Byleth Color Scheme
Hubert Color Scheme
Child Edelgard Color Scheme
Time-skip outfit
Flame Emperor

Feel free to submit an item and 4 history cards.
Item: Nosferatu: This would work like Robin’s down special in Ultimate, where the player can heal damage, but there’s only three uses.

History Cards:

Popo (Ice Climber)
Ayumi Tachibana (Famicom Detective Club)
Andy (Advance Wars)
Sami (Advance Wars)

Job 49:
I'll advocate for All-Star mode using the classic format of a Rest Area with a few heals, similarly to Kirby's Arena. Given the smaller size of the roster though, as well as the more contemporary focus, I don't know if we gain much from the whole chronological debut thing - even though I believe that to be the ideal, it just doesn't jive as well with the current roster. Instead let's pair characters up in teams that you will take on progressively.

We'd do some obvious ones like Mario and Luigi, Inkling and Octoling, so forth. Some we can be a bit creative with, maybe Samus and Olimar if those two end up being represented by their lonesome since they're both space travelers. I think that pairing up unrelated characters would be great actually, those kind of new friendship dynamics are always fun to cook up in crossover games.

But some fighters will be regulated to individual "boss" roles. Perhaps we are confronted with a bigger Bowser, or a souped up Dr. Coyle somewhere along the way. This gives All-Star mode a bit more of that Kirby Arena boss rush flair, interspliced with these normal battles are essentially "special" type battles against a couple of our bad eggs, further emphasizing them as the game's central antagonists. I can't make a definitive statement on all the teams and roles yet because we've still got some characters to go, but if we roll with my approach then we can always come back to this later.

Job 50:
:ultdk:

1. Default DK
2. Black DK (SSBU)
3. Reddish Brown, akin to his arcade sprite
4. Purple DK (SSBU)
5. Green DK (King of Swing)
6. "Super Kong" from DKCR
7. Pirate Land DK (Mario Party 2)
8. Punch-Out!! Boxing Gloves

(Edelgard)
I'm not as equipped to do this one as some of the more dedicated Three Houses fans among us. I just want to advocate to those who are for Edelgard having two core costumes like Wario, pre and post timeskip skins should both be available and may as well have four colors each. Or I guess three, if we want to give her the two special costumes on top of that. If it is three... then I mean, the pre-timeskip colors seem pretty obvious LOL.

Item: Wario Bomb
1728669919552.png

Whether the man himself makes the cut or not, I think this has some legs. The Wario bomb appears and immediately lights its fuse. You cannot pick it up, instead you can kick it around like a hot potato. The timer lasts about ten seconds and provides a big cartoony explosion that sends anyone within range flying (accompanied with a taunting Wario laugh if anyone is struck by the blast).

Although, maybe this should be an incentive for us to HURRY UP and add this lovable jerk. :p Come to think of it, can this be sort of a "temporary" item nomination? If we do add Wario, I'd really like to implement a mechanic like this into his moveset. But we'll get there when we get there, just curious.

History Cards:
Excitebiker
Little Mac (Punch-Out!!)
Lip (Panel de Pon)
Pit (Kid Icarus)

Shock Bomb (ARMS)
When hit, it will drop to the ground. It's too big to carry, but it can rolled around the stage like a barrel. After a period of time, it will detonate. It will unleash an electric shockwave that will paralyze anyone in it's radius for a brief period of time.

Cards -
Ness (Earthbound)
Trainer (Wii Fit)
Isaac (Golden Sun)
Dog and Duck (Duck Hunt)

Replacement Pokemon Card -
Eeveelutions

Job 49: Classic Mode Takes
I kinda second Louie G.'s take on Classic Mode here.

Job 50: Edelgard's Costume Set
Since DK's got two suggestions already, I'll hold off on making a set for him. Poor Edie's got zilch, and I plan to change that.
1. Default Red for reference.
2. Golden Blonde Hair & Blue Armor, meant to reference Dimitri
3. Brown Hair & Yellow Armor, meant to reference Claude
4. Teal/Blue-Ish Hair & Dark Gray Armor, meant to reference Byleth
5. Black Hair & Black Armor, "Dark/Evil" alt, meant to reference Hubert
6. Purple Hair & Lighter Purple Armor, meant to reference Bernadetta
7. Edelgard, but 5 Years Ago...
8. Edelgard but Technically a Spoiler? Iffy on this one in particular, but I had nothing else that seemed "special" enough. But if we're using 5 Years later as the default, then is it really a spoiler? help-

Various History Cards
Starfy (The Legendary Starfy)
Foreman Spike (Wrecking Crew)
Takamaru (The Mysterious Murasame Castle)
Dragonblood Prince (Dragalia Lost) (I can change this one out if he's ineligible due to how we're treating Bahamut.)

From the polls, there will be eight bosses, and we’ll use Masked Borb’s Pokemon Trainer moveset and Bowser recolors/alts.

Here are the All-Star nominations:

Before we go into Edelgard recolors and alts, I’d like to check if we’d want to handle them like Brawl Wario/For Little Mac, so Masked Borb Masked Borb and I can make updates if needed.

Job 51: Submit a Stage

Job 52: Submit Luigi and Princess Zelda Movesets

As a bonus, feel free to submit an item.

A Parasol as it appears in Melee.
I’ll submit the parasol, which works like in Melee.

I’ll leave nominations up until tomorrow:
Job 51: Submit a Stage

I’m going to nominate Boxing Ring from Punch Out!! I feel like this stage really fits perfectly, and it would be cool to have a couple stages from franchises without fighters
Job 52: Submit Luigi and Princess Zelda Movesets
