This is EXACTLY what I mean. You are here once again, auto assuming that I am fully believing in the music for even attempting to say that Vergeben could be wrong. I'm saying either one could still be correct. This is what's making me angry.

And once again, you are misinformed about it being re-written because the music theory itself was not conceptualized until after Dark Samus had already broken the echo portion of the theory.

Dude, I wasn't autoassuming at all. there's possible that Verge might be wrong about some leak, but some characters like King Krool, Chorm, and Dark Samus aren't on Verge's leak radar, so they just come out of the left field. As for Incienroar, we don't know if he was lock or not since he was implicated by Vergeben in leaks along with Ken. Seeing Ken leak which is legit, and Verge was likely right about ken in smash but we don't see any legit leak with incicenroar so his status as new fighter is unknown to us at all until we get official reveal or legit leak. For time being, we are still waiting for legit leak that comes out.

There´s "nothing cool now" or something "trendy". People have opinions, if you love theorycrafting perphaps you might want to check another thread or such, since it seems when someones bashes a theory or have a different opinion, it hurts you somehow. Its the nature of sharing stuff on a forum about stuff you are passionate about, always different opinions.

People here have posted crazy stuff i think is madness yet i dont tell them "how to think", people have told me how i might be wrong and i just let it pass. Dont come here telling people what you should be reading, and what should be discussed .

That's funny, because I'd say the people who advocate for theories are really the rude people. I came up with Nihilist theory because I got tired of trying to argue for and against theories and getting nothing but **** for it. Nihilist theory is a response that says "**** it, all of these are fake, but people are going to believe what they're going to believe, so none of this matters." It's not rude or elitist by any means, especially when considered to the devout box theorists and the blog theory white knights.

Music Theory shouldn't be treated the same way "Ridley in the clouds" is. It actually had (and possibly still has if Incineroar is DLC) something tangible to go off of.

Truth be told, the only reason I feel some are strongly supporting the box and argue about it so much is because of the "doomsday" scenario is represents.

Some people prefer believing that kind of stuff because it's easier than getting your hopes up. Some back it because they like saying they told you so if you didn't believe it.

What's odd to me is that some people who support the box 100% say they don't want it to be right, but then do everything in their power to make everyone think it's right and they're wrong and dismiss anything that could imply it's not 100%. Kinda strange to me, but eh, people can believe what they wanna believe. To each their own, yes?

One has backing and is a legididdamate (read: logically sound, an actual theory) and the other isn't legitititty (read: logically unsound)

Nintendo owns a 5% share of Cygames as a company.


Not only that, but Platinum Games will be making Granblue Fantasy, Project:ReLink for Playstation 4, which will be released internationally. Not only that, but while Granblue Fantasy is Japan exclusive as far as the devs are concerned, the game is 100% completely in English, while also showing up at PAX and Comicon regularly within the last 2 or so years, meaning that an official English client may be in the works.


The game is Cygame's flagship and mascot series. While yes, a Dragalia Lost character would indeed have 'more ties to Nintendo', Cygame's Granblue characters are easily recognizable by a Japanese audience and would be very easy DLC sells in its home country.

Although they are Cygames biggest game currently, there is one major flaw, and it is that they aren’t a big third party series.

Sure, Bayonetta is an exception, however she was the result of a franchise collaboration between Nintendo, Sega, and Platnium, and the series thrives on Nintendo. This is something Grandblue fails in comparison, and you’ve even said it yourself, Grandblue only appeals to those in Japan. If it is one thing that Sakurai tries to avoid, especially with third parties, is adding characters that many people internationally wouldn’t be aware of.

At the moment, Grandblue seems to finally begin getting out worldwide, but back in 2015, this wasn’t the case.

And I think you’re underselling Dragalia Lost a but here. It is being Nintendo’s pushed mobile game, getting it’s own direct and a worldwide release date. Nintendo and Cygames are doing what they can to make this enjoyable and free to play. Sure, Sakurai can obt for Grandblue fantasy character, but when Dragalia Lost is getting worldwide appeal in it’s first run and is a Nintendo character, meaning that it would not only be easier to negotiate, but include another newer asset of Nintendo, the protagonist of Dragalia Lost becomes more likely for inclusion as DLC.

We’ve even seen how Corrin was added as DLC before his game came out for promotion, and it for the most part turned out well. The protagonist of Dragalia Lost can follow suit as well, but at least with more people in the know about him than Corrin.

Although, that is to say that a CyGames character is even considered for Smash, but I wouldn’t undersell Dragalia Lost for now if I were you.

No "theory" is leginimate until we know the final roster.

What people see as patterns or remaining spaces are just blank squares edited to match the currently revealed roster. Nothing more. You can THEORIZE they mean more than they do, and they could indeed likely be more, but they arent until we know for sure what the true box looks like.

It replaced the original placeholder box art this month, and the game is going gold in October or early November if they plan on shipping these things in time. The fact that they very clearly followed a distinct and purposeful pattern, while deviating in only one spot to make room for a character that has to be an echo within a small span of characters, is what gives "box theory" a leg up on other "theories" or leaks.

This does not at all mean that it's proven, or that there isn't a slim chance of the box art being changed, no matter how unlikely, or that there aren't other characters after #69 inexplicably placed on the back or bottom of the box just because. Box theory is not proven true, but let's not pretend any other theory or leak is, at this point, anywhere near as credible as it is.

Also, to everyone in the thread, let's remember that A) this is the leak thread, not the speculation thread, and B) that the game will be out in two months and change. Relax. We'll all know soon and then none of this **** will matter.

That script leak does make me realize how much info there is left for them to show off, though. I mean it stands to reason there's a ****ton of content from previous Smash games that haven't shown up yet, plus Spirits mode, plus the final characters.

Senjou, though I don't actually believe them, said the Granblue character was in talks to be in via DLC, and DLC talks are most likely happening now and within the last few months.


In 2018, Granblue is bigger than it's ever been, and the 2015 finalization of the roster means nothing for DLC characters, is that not why we say characters like Rex and Spring Man are such 'obvious' DLC picks?
