An alleged "script leak". It has.....both Phoenix Wright and a story mode. My two greatest wishes. That said, it relies on the idea that an assist trophy character (you know THE ONE), being supposedly promoted to playable despite being used a demonstration to be blast zoned by Marth.

Siiiigh. If it's real, then that would be amazing, but man. Why did he have to include HIM in there!?!

I don't think the box means anything. Pretty sure they'd be super careful to not reveal too much on the box like how many characters are left etc. I think it's kind of like the giant portrait with the whole roster on it. People tried to figure out who'd be in based on open spaces in the drawing and then with the next set of reveals, we learned they just shift characters around to make room, so we couldn't use empty spaces as predictions anymore.

Same with the box. I highly doubt it's a final design.

That being said, I do think the music and blog theories have a chance of being true, but I can't 100% buy either of them

Okay I’ve been lurking and I have to come out and say that I’m really disappointed. Look at what these theories have turned you people into, the fighting is constant, I think that everyone needs to relax and take a chill pill until we get some sort of announcement of maybe a Direct or something substantial, I don’t know and I honestly don’t really care at the moment, I just think everyone could be doing better.

why do box "theorists" say Incineroar and Ken are the last ones?
because if its about Vergeben, he's rumoring more than 3-4 characters now, meaning possible Steve and the mystery S-E rep would be in the mix.

the point of the box stuff was that it implies there are 2 characters left, so where's evidence it will be those two as base game finalists?

Personally, the only way I don't see Incineroar being playable is if he ends up getting Chrom'd.

I'd like to make a note that Verge didn't know about the echoes or K.Rool's inclusion, so even if he is right about Incineroar, it doesn't mean he and Ken are the last two being added. So far Verge only knew about Simon and Isabelle (and arguably Ridley but come on we all expected Ridley), we've gotten way more characters than them at this point, and it's also weird that Verge would only know about one echo (Ken) unless Ken isn't actually an Echo and is a Semi-Clone instead. So it feels pretty safe to say there will probably be a newcomer and echo that Verge wasn't aware of.

Something tells me that there won't be DLC echo fighters. I think that if there are some other echoes besides Ken, they're gonna be revealed until the game release. Of course i can be wrong, but it can happen. And i still think Shadow is a shoe-in, Verge might have no information about him, but he also didn't knew the existence of Richter and K. Rool.

As somebody who wanted Ridley for ten years, and clung to every possible hope, he was a damn PIPE DREAM. To legitimate;y expect Ridley you'd have to be on something, Sakurai's past comments painted a very bad picture for his inclusion.

Ridley's reveal was so incredible because it was something me, and a lot of other people, never thought we'd see in half a million years.

Has anyone else made the connection between absolute BS leaks and the fact that they come from 4chan? People want attention. They copy/paste things other leakers say to sound more credible.

Well I wouldn't dismiss anything just because it comes from 4Chan.
After all, that's where the ESRB leak dropped and the pic of Ken.

But yeah, I agree. It's more fitting to call them rumors if anything else.
No one should be taken at face value unless they actually have something substantial or actual evidence to help back up their claims.

most leaks are posted on 4chan because of the anonymity, so they won't be fired from their pretend job at nintendo

And one of the reasons that I don't like when people say "everyone predicted Ridley" is that it invalidates that hype.

That was a huge moment for me as a Nintendo fan and I don't anyone taking that away frome just because they don't wanna give Vergeben/any leaker credit. Ridley's reveal was huge.

By definition nothing is a leak unless its proven true. But 'big rumor' doesn't suck in clicks and viewers quite like 'big leak' does.

Really?

Because 99% of people I saw bring up Ridley that supported him had conceded he'd never happen. That was at least until some rumours from ResetEra but even then that was met with cautious optimism.

Nah, this particular character was designed to be a foil to Captain Falcon.
- Bird name theming
- Similar vehicle names (Blue Falcon/Rainbow Phoenix)
- Falcon is a bounty hunter while Phoenix is a... galactic space patroller, whatever that means
- I mean, just look at them and tell me they don't have similarities

Other than that, there's nothing really known about him. He was in AX (the arcade version of GX) and in the home consoles of GX as well via some obtuse unlocking requirements.
