Really, the only songs that you need to represent Monster Hunter are "Proof of a Hero" and Rathalos' Theme, they're pretty much the two most universally known songs globally. I don't really think Monster Hunter is remembered for the music, rather it's gameplay itself.

I can't see that happening. Capcom has their 3 reps, as do Sega and Konami. A 4th, for another avatar, from a series that Capcom is trying to move away from Nintendo with, is just overkill.

There is a ton to appreciate. It's like saying, "Mega Man is perfect enough with just MMII Wily Castle and Metal Man's stage theme while Castlevania is fine just having Bloody Tears and Monster Dance." There is so much potential for a Monster Hunter fighter, and this doesn't even scratch the surface of songs in the franchise. Mind you, I tried balancing it out as best as I could across all generations.

Considering they went with another Street Fighter character over the Monster Hunter already should signal that another unique character from Capcom isn't happening, especially when the Rathalos Armor was DLC in Smash 4, but didn't lead to anything besides a boss. Same goes for Geno's outfit and him being a Spirit.

They favored Ryu and Bayonetta in last game even though we already had Mega Man and Sonic.
They favored Richter even though we got Simon and Snake returned. Same with Ken.
They favored Joker, even though SEGA already had two unique characters.

I don't see much furious people.

Saying two songs is all MH needs to be represented is bull**** becaude no game is properly represented with just two songs.
Still, that leak is obviously bull****, easy to fake and Joker is too early in development for any of those things to be present in an english build of all things.
Also, I'n willing to bet the Persona logo will be a general one and NOT specific to P5 because that's how all series icons have always been. Even FF when it only has FFVII content got a general FF logo because the series isn't just one game.

company slots stopped being a thing a long time ago but when you don't want a character in smash, everything is fair game i guess.

They already had to negotiate Monster Hunter content in the game for base roster. Leaving the Hunter, a stage, and more music behind a paywall would be disappointing.

This is Capcom, however. I wouldn't be surprised if they wanted DLC money for the series and thus withheld content for that purpose.

Be gutted as that would mean the only character I want is out of the running.

The Sims is pretty well one of the best selling game series, and really advanced the Life Simulation genre (of which Animal Crossing is a part). Bella is probably the most well known character, and I could see them dipping into some of the more zany animations for her.

The Sims is pretty well one of the best selling game series, and really advanced the Life Simulation genre (of which Animal Crossing is a part). Bella is probably the most well known character, and I could see them dipping into some of the more zany animations for her.

I feel like a Sim could easily have skin textures akin to the Koopalings. Their body sizes can vary throughout games and it wouldn't look out of place. Mortimer, Don Lothario, and whoever else is deemed an iconic Sim could be added that way.

Problem with a Sim is the moveset. I have no idea what they could do. Complain about everything like in the first?

Bad as far as playing against or playing as? His neutral b is very slow so it’s not much to worry about his musket is that more dangerous than the actually canon ball
