It looks like one of the Emblems from the Monster Hunter series, so I could see them using it..but yeah, probably still fake as all get out.
To be exact, its the Hunters Guild Emblem, so it would make the most sense.

I also have to reteach myself how to fight actual people.
I tend to do CPU matches during my breaks at work and haven't played against friends very often..so I keep doing things I'd do in CPU Matches like Charging Smash Attacks that are soo telegraphed and taunting after each KO on reflex XD
