I also have to reteach myself how to fight actual people.
I tend to do CPU matches during my breaks at work and haven't played against friends very often..so I keep doing things I'd do in CPU Matches like Charging Smash Attacks that are soo telegraphed and taunting after each KO on reflex XD

It was certainly fun! I enjoyed the characters, and the general zaniness of the world. I don't think I can say it's my 100% all time favorite like some people, but it was an experience i'll never forget.

Now onto Mother 3!

Not sure exactly, but it looks like this one Monster Hunter side-game for 3DS. Googling it tells me it’s called Monster Hunter Stories, and that sounds about right.

I had no idea there was a Skull Kid reference costume in that game.

I think I've used stage morph precisely once. Great Cave Offensive mixed with Temple.

I usually choose 2 random stages. I had to remove a bunch of the stages from random after the stage morph went to 75mm and screen wiped the whole 8 players.

tbh I'm still not feeling Ken's new moves - his half-circle kick feels way less useful than ryu's shakunetsu when ryu's shield-breaker came out on a simple forward tilt, and whatever utility his nata otoshi geri quarter-circle move has is offset by me constantly triggering a tatsumaki in its place for some reason

I had a lot of fun with it.

Any small stage to Palutena's Temple is a must. Also Delfino Plaza/Tortimer Island to Umbra Clock Tower/Dracula's Castle. But my favorite is Pac-Land transforming into Final Destination right at the end.

- 23 ****ing Monster Hunter songs

Really, the only songs that you need to represent Monster Hunter are "Proof of a Hero" and Rathalos' Theme, they're pretty much the two most universally known songs globally. I don't really think Monster Hunter is remembered for the music, rather it's gameplay itself.

Interesting, but I don't think that's the one I was thinking of, people were talking about F-Zero, Witcher 3, and I think Xenosaga.
