I named my world "BadTime" (first four notes of Megalovania play) because I knew I was gonna have a bad time.
Last update I played was 1.2, so I immediately began wondered by all the cool new fishy stuff in the aquatic update. I did the typical Minecraft schtick (chop down a tree, mine a bit, craft a bit, etc.) and explored some underwater places to find 2 buried treasure maps. Cool. How does map work?
One trip to the Google Machine later I was reading the maps completely wrong.
Thankfully I get back on the right track, and after one day more
heh I've got myself a treasure chest. Nice. At this point, around 3-4 Minecraft Days have passed. This is important.
So, I'm tracking down buried treasure number 2. I come across a village, steal their stuff like any rational player, punch a guy off a cliff because why not, and then keep going. I'm in a Dark Forest biome of some sort, and night is coming. I decide to go on top of the trees so as to avoid the darkness of the forest below.
So, I'm on top of the trees and I see a sheep. Great! I haven't seen any yet, and I need to make a bed so I can set my spawn poi-
I heard this ephemeral, draconic noise from above. All of a sudden I'm hit by a
MOTHER****ING MINI DRAGON AND THERE'S A SWARM OF THEM ABOVE ME WHAT THE ****.
I legitimately jumped in my seat and shrieked. Thankfully I didn't wake up my parents.
I immediately jump to the ground and dig a little hole for me to hide in, and for the rest of the night I have to hear the ****ing sounds of these
things right outside my dig out, waiting for me to come out so they can rip my face off or something.
Turns out that I was hit by a
Phantom. They attack you if you haven't slept for multiple days. Since I couldn't make a bed as I didn't have the materials, that made me a prime target. Being high up (above the tree line), made me an easy target as well. I didn't know these things existed, and was caught unprepared. Mind you,
I already get anxious just playing Minecraft, since it's literally you vs. the World and practically everything wants to kill you, and having a surprise enemy swoop into my
DMs face wasn't appreciated in the slightest.
This monster was voted into the game by the way. BY THE PLAYERS. WHY WOULD THEY WISH FOR THAT?
Thankfully, when day came I was able to book it to sunlight (they don't like the sun) and make a bed to sleep in the next night.
Then I found another treasure chest and stole a witch's house after murdering the witch. Mine now, witch.
11/10 would Minecraft again.
