I dont think its that people hate it, its that there are a ton of cool palaces (and their themes) that could be used instead.Mementos looks pretty cool, why do P5 players hate it so much?
fans: we want Persona 5 music in smash
Since it's being mentioned so much, here's the theme for Mementos.
It's cool, but there are just SO many better options.Mementos looks pretty cool, why do P5 players hate it so much?
Yup... just thought I'd give it a goAlso, I see you're hopping on the "Anyone is Here" Signature train! :3
watching folks slowly but surely hop aboard likeYup... just thought I'd give it a go
So. I haven’t played Persona at all.Literally any palace. Or even the cafe if that was somehow feasible. The game is so visually pleasing in every other aspect, so I hope they don't do the obvious thing and go for it.
A casino stage would be cool IMOI dont think its that people hate it, its that there are a ton of cool palaces (and their themes) that could be used instead.
A medievil castle, a crazy looking factory-space station, the summit of an egyptian pyramid with an angry, giant sphinx lady flying around, a bank in the sky with a giant, endless-looking vault, a dali museum on acid, A cruise ship topped with a court house over looking a city drowning in flood waters, or a bitchin' casino.
...G.g.guys, you should be worried about banning Isabelle right now.
There was a problem fetching the tweetShe is a Dragon Summoner!
inb4 it's Electronica in Velvet Room.
I'd take it.inb4 it's Electronica in Velvet Room.
You don't use Mementos to travel between Palaces. They are on the surface, Mementos is in the underground. They technically born from it, but they have no physical connection in the game proper.So. I haven’t played Persona at all.
But I am trying to piece things together. So knowing what Joker and The Phantom Theives do, I am assuming that Palaces are people’s minds. And if Mementos is a subconscious subway that connects everyone together, that must mean you can access all of the palaces through Mementos. So what if it was a moving stage that takes you through multiple palaces from the game.
Please don’t hit me if I’m super wrong.
Ah. I see. Oh well. I was just trying to make the idea interesting. You don't use Mementos to travel between Palaces. They are on the surface, Mementos is in the underground. They technically born from it, but they have no physical connection in the game proper.
Half right. Palaces are essentially super-distorted cognitions - the result of someone's worldview being way out of whack, be it for lust or greed or whatever. Mementos, meanwhile, is the cognitive construct of the general public: the everyday people who aren't twisted enough to have palaces, but have minor distortions that can manifest in the subway's sort of collective unconscious (hence why it's used for minor side-quest bosses not significant enough to have palaces of their own). However, palaces and Mementos are largely separate entities - just as each palace owner's cognition is separate from one another (because they're each someone else's way of viewing the world), so too is the general public's its own thing.So. I haven’t played Persona at all.

You're close. Mementos is the subconscious of the general population; you can't really reach the others from one another; you have to go directly from one to another. Though it would be nice to have a transitioning stage going from one palace to another, it doesn't quite work like that.So. I haven’t played Persona at all.

imagine perfecting a theme in 2006 and never needing to remix it againI'd take it.
No such thing as a bad Velvet Room theme.
EVO Japan is not the biggest fighting game tourney in the world. That's EVO, and you can bet your ass it'll be there.Right, but it would still be smart for their game to be at the biggest fighting game tourney in the world.
Why are they so stupid sometimes
Pro-tip: If you think something has already been covered in this thread, it has. This thread moves at the speed of light, so I apologize if this has already been brought up and beaten to death already, but has this made the rounds here:
https://screenrant.com/super-smash-bros-ultimate-second-dlc-character/
Apparently there's some solid looking evidence of our 2nd DLC character and its Erdrick (with a Luminary Alt as I had suspected)
No reason not to put it in, it's the main battle theme. Real gems like Heartful Cry, on the other hand...Can we also get this in Smash please, Sakurai.
One of the best freakin' jams ever right here, this song is one of my most favorite things ever.
There's actually an even better version in the first game, dated 1996:imagine perfecting a theme in 2006 and never needing to remix it again

Fair point. Oh well. Thanks for the reply.Pro-tip: If you think something has already been covered in this thread, it has.
This has been brought up at least 3 times now, and the Square Enix support thread is still on fire after it was posted there yesterday.
You just wrote why they cut it.Man I miss the fan item. Went back to Brawl, got King Dedede stuck in a corner on Shadow Moses with a fan, and beat him with it until he reached 999% before killing him with up special. It was amazing
Okay, but seriously. Just like Zinith has a large reason to like Yoshi, what's your reason for liking Littlest Pet Shop so much? Is there a tragic backstory associated with it? Does it remind you of a long lost flame or potent childhood memory? What is it about Littlest Pet Shop specifically? This post made me laugh so much
Thank you for bringing a bit of humor to my day :3
Items in Ultimate are already pretty janky with how many of them one hit kill, especially ATs and Pokemon. The fan would just be too much, lol.Man I miss the fan item. True but it was so fun to smack everyone silly with it.Items in Ultimate are already pretty janky with how many of them one hit kill, especially ATs and Pokemon. The fan would just be too much, lol.
I dunno why it can't just break like the hammer does after too many uses.Items in Ultimate are already pretty janky with how many of them one hit kill, especially ATs and Pokemon. The fan would just be too much, lol.
Because you can't break paper. It literally has no weak points. OPI dunno why it can't just break like the hammer does after too many uses.
I did that a lot back in the Brawl days and one of my brothers hated it so much they turned the item off, lol.True but it was so fun to smack everyone silly with it.
Oh yeah, how about this one:Because you can't break paper. It literally has no weak points. OP
clearly joker's gimmick is going to be the art of seductionJoker: Dungeon Crawler RPGs(with dating Sim elements)
