Almost one month has passed since release. In retrospect....

  • This is by far the best Smash ever. Like, I don't even know how they will top this.

  • Pretty freakin' good; I have a few qualms over things like internet play, balancing issues, etc.

  • It's ok, but [insert Smash game here] is better.

  • I'd rather play Parcheesi.

Speaking of her, anyone else feel like they nerfed Bayo a little bit too hard? Like I just labbed her out and she feels like a shell of her former self lol. It's so hard to get a string going now lmao

I got ladder combo’d by a level 8 CPU Bayo. I’d say she’s fine.

Haven't done it myself but I've been hearing that more and more.


I'm glad they're listening but from sound of things they went a little too hard.

yeah but it's a bit too easy to DI out of it now. Like Bayonetta's entire playstyle revolves around combos to get them to higher percents and then blowing them away with her huge hitboxes on her Smash attacks, but what use is a combo character who can't combo without like a million hard reads and a lot of luck and praying your opponent is bad at DI

Erdick comes with a stage based on his game's region (forgot the name) and he has a move using Slime.

Joker's moveset was mentioned but I'm not aware of what it was, and he comes with Mementos as his stage.

I guess we were all pretty well expecting someone from Square, but ehhhhh.... I'd heard that the idea is to make DQ popular in America, which just goes back into 'corporate shill pick' territory that could so easily backfire. Besides, with Joker confirmed, a second anime-eqsue JRPG protagonist could get monotonous. Anime JRPGs aren't the only games in existence.

But DQ is the third biggest RPG franshise behind Pokémon and Final Fantasy, so that just makes all kinds of sense for them to take it. But if we're gonna get a "Let's add this character so they're popular in another part of the world!" pick, why not get a Western character to boost them in Japan? Particularly one whose game already got a 40/40 on Famitsu and whose parent company desperately needs good PR right about now...

I'm just waiting for the inevitable moveset swap hacks so I can see :ultridley::ultkrool: doing :ultbayonetta:'s taunts. Pity they cut them short.

A Granblue fighting game made by ArcSys has been rumored for about a month prior to its reveal (and prior to Joker's reveal).

So if that's the main factor, this leak isn't on very stable grounds right now. If Joker's stage isn't Mementos, that's another major hit against the leak.
