I ain’t saying that’s the impression I had of your post. I watched rick and Morty. I liked it. I even said that your post made sense and was reasonable. What I was saying was that ending your post with a reaction image from the show would probably cause others to just dismiss what you had actually written and not consider it.
Vergeben iirc said that talks were in progress a while ago alongside the Minecraft talks as well. Then later the DM's leaked. Might be wrong on this, memory isn't perfect

Hating something because of its fanbase or because of its popularity makes you a sheep by default, especially if you can't cite any worthwhile reason why to dislike it. This goes for anything, not Rick and Morty specifically :v
Nah that was quite a bit after Squenix talk I think. Either way, he stated clearly "A Squenix rep is coming" quite early but with Minecraft it's always been "there's some talk of MC content"
Yes, they're back. They got datamined with Snake's Codecs, but I'm not sure if they're new, because I haven't seen them in play yet.

Bc S-E usually takes months to complete the legal measures when dealing with new licensing opportunities.
Sakurai likely didn't consider adding another Final Fantasy rep during Smash 4 or planning of Ultimate, or he doesn't want to hint at more Final Fantasy representation by changing the series to just Final Fantasy.
If you've ever seen a video of a small dog with fireworks in its mouth running around sending sparkles of light all over the place, that's how I imagine a Touhou bullet hell would get translated to smash.

Oh no trust me I agree. There is so much wrong with this whole situation that I just don't want to get into on a Smash Bros thread. It's silly at best and damaging at worst. And like, I think it's fair to be annoyed at Ultimate shipping being delayed because of this. It's dumb. I just also don't feel like getting into a deep discussion over something tongue-in-cheek. I already have old people yelling at me over the phone at my job, I don't need everyone else yelling at me over the internet, haha.

Hopefully tomorrow will help us figure out what in the world is going on w/ this DLC. That should at least gives us some semblance of what to expect.
